At several points in the game Pearls goes home or somewhere else and I feel like "Finally, she's gone. Now I can go back to investigating this person's privacy." I don't taking a little kid exploring with you just feels like adventures in babysitting, at least to me.

What about you guys?

I actually like having Pearl around. She's adorable! Well, when she isn't slapping Phoenix for happening to glance in the general direction of another woman at least. :oops:

That gets old really fast. Other than that though, I think she's great.

Nah, I got tired of Pearl after the 2nd game. While I much prefer Pearl's company over Maya's (Pearl's brain >>> Maya's brain), Pearl got really annoying really fast, due to her failing to ship PhoenixMaya. She's cute though. Even if we all fear her double slap of doom.

Pearl is one of my favorite characters, so I enjoy when she's involved in a case. She's a catalyst for so many events in the series which I think is really interesting.

Aside from her constant OTP, I do enjoy having her around. It just sucks when shes around that Phoenix has to constantly be slapped around by Pearl. Doesn't he get enough abuse from everybody else that HATES him?

I find it curious that although she takes a 2 hour-plus train by herself, sometimes gets lost, and is generally neglected by the two adults who are suppose to be responsible for her...

...she STILL doesn't get nearly as kidnapped as Maya.

I really like Pearl. She's one of my favourite characters, so yes, I do miss her when she is out of the game for a bit.

I didn't miss her that much in 3, but in 2-5 I kinda needed her around since I had no assistance since Maya got jacked.

The only thing I like about Pearl was the fact that she wants Phoenix and Maya to be together and slaps him if he looks at other women. When she doesn't do it, she is really boring.

This thread makes me sad. I thought everyone loved Pearl. :sadshoe:

Anyway, I can never get tired of her. Maybe its just my affinity for all things cute.

I just can't help but wonder what Pearl would be like grown up. I mean, considering all that's happened to her, it seems like she could become a rather angsty teenager. It just seems so un-Pearlish but it would be realistic. Not that the the writers would ever do something like that, but I guess I can't help but contemplate the psyches of fictional characters, lol.

I like Pearl. Although she hasn't had a real part in the third case of any of the 3 games thus far. She was in the second case, but left after the start of it.

I find her slapping endearing, but I find that kind of stuff funny for whatever reason o.o'
But to be honest, I prefer having Maya as a sidekick. She's funnier and comes out with some very weird remarks that place very funny mental images in my head XD

On topic: I find pearl to be both annoying and cute. I do find it odd that she was able to find her way to the courthouse on foot from Kurain Manor in time for the trial in 2-2, but I guess that she just channeled Mia. Mia could probably find a ride.

Hm. It appears that I'm one of the lone exceptions to the rule in this thread.

I adore Pearl; she brightened up many a dull moment in-game for me. I will never get tired of the slapping thing, either. She's just so incredibly cute, and while that usually puts me off of a character, I can't help it.

Maya, on the other hand... well. Her character irritates me so much that I'd love to pull her out of the DS and punch her in the mouth. I speed through most of her scenes as often as possible, and by the end of 3 I wanted to just let her rot in the stupid cave just so she'd stop getting in trouble.

Well of course I really miss Pearls when she leaves. The innocence that she has and that therefore brings up some comical moments are great. Also, as far as nine year olds go, she seems fairly well behaved and polite. A lot of kids that age are screaming brats (I should know, I was one of them). I'm not the most patient person, so kids can get on my nerves, but if more were like Pearl, I think I could tolerate them better.

In my opinion though... eh, I don't really care. Yes, she's cute as a button, and her theme is adorable, but personally I'm usually more interested in the trials than the investigations. Though the slapping got on my nerves, and fast, she IS generally well behaved for a nine year old.

So in short, I do and don't miss her when she leaves. *shrug* She's cute, and the slapping bothers me. So it's 50/50.

I prefer Ema to either Maya or Pearl. She's less annoying and less likely to get into trouble. And I love the whole 'scientific investigation in action' thing.

So, no I don't miss Pearl.
