Growing up on the Sonic the Hedgehog series, I have to say charging up a Spin Dash and collecting rings are pretty nice sounds. :3

Ugh....The way I played through that game you would often hear the "extra life" tag every minute or so. It's a real nuisance. Then again, that was also the case with Mario 3. My little brother is still amazed that I can do that. It's just well constructed programming. :eh?:

My problem when making a good game is trying to keep the music/sound from being too annoying. As far as annoying tones go, when you really look back and play through, GS3 has nothing on the first two in the series. :payne:

Yeah, it's not hard to get extra lives in those games if you can avoid enemy attack and collect plenty of rings. I got the "extra life" jingle more often than I broke open monitors. But that sound changed in every game. The ring-collecting and Spin Dash sound effects have always been consistent, even today.

It was found that they are the most easily identified without being too annoying. =/

Lol, I love

Snake? Snake?! SSSNAAKKKEEEEEEEEE!!!!

Turning Yoshi's Island (GBA) on.. high pitched 'NEENTENDO' I used to turn my SP off and on again just to hear that!

I have a fondness for Quake sounds, oddly like the pervy female ones best! 'Hooollly Shhiittt!!!!!'

Ooh and I like the little ditty at the end of a level of Sonic

I know this is music, but I go between the Mario theme, Zelda main theme, and Steel Samurai for my ringtones.

Easily done. I prefer Godot's tone for some reason though. It seems easier to identify anyway.
