Wait, what? The characters shown here, are, except the third-parties, all not unlockable. That makes the starting roster already bigger than that of Melee's. We don't know the full roster yet.

We know that
- All third-party characters are unlockable.
- The updates work the same way as Melee's, which had first all starters shown, and then, when the game was released, slowly the unlockables.

Tonight's update is what I consider the best out of this month. The return of... events!!
Considering that King Dedede is involved in the first event, that likely means he's in the starting roster. And check it out. Dark Link battle! Even Dark Link's icon is different!

If they didn't have events, I would've had a heart attack. Nothing pumps someone up more... than constantly failing at an event only to obliterate it on their 10th try. I wonder who will be unlockable via events this time. Last time there was Ganondorf, I remember that......

Events are good, I like neat fights! Ganondorf AND Pichu were unlockable via the Event List. Jigglypuff through either, Dr. Mario through Classic as Mario, Luigi in Adventure, Marth through Classic/vs. human of all 14 starters, Roy through Classic as Mario, Falco in 100-Man Melee, Young Link through Classic with 10 characters, Mewtwo through VS. time total or match amounts, and Game & Watch through everyone else's targets,
You know, there's a rumor going on about the Events update. You see how the second event was not brought up in detail? It's clearly a Star Fox event, but it didn't get a picture while the others around it did. A lot of people on other message boards wonder if this means another Star Fox character has yet to be announced.
If so, then it's more than likely going to be Wolf or Krystal. And I'll Spectate coin-gamble on Krystal.

Look at the one on the right. I circled something that has a blue like figure... which looks like Krystal... On the other one, is the whole image, so you can see it.
Im thinking maybe a battle called "Fox an Kyrstal's Argument" And you play as fox facing Krystal who is angry...
I will do a hue check to see if it's the same colours as Krystal.

It's much more likely that they simply focused on Events where the character is picked out for you, probably to better represent just what you'll be getting (for the new players, at least).
Alternatively, the Event mode has been used to unlock characters before, so it's likely that could happen again, just not so early in the mode.

Anyways, for Tinker, actually... noooot necessarily, would Dedede be a starter.
Ganondorf wasn't a starter. He has to be unlocked in the Event mode. Heck, Dedede could be the same thing, y'know?
That aside, I personally believe Dedede will be a starter. I'm just asking ye to examine past cases to come to a conclusion of what could be similar in this case... I've played too many trials.
