Beat it like a week ago and decided to play it again during the Thanksgiving break. Love this game lots, though I wish it lasted longer...

Also, the thread lacks a great deal of Linebeck love. /:

"Lacking Linebeck love"? Are you serous?

Everyone here loves Linebeck-or at least his theme.
Don't mind me, just passing through.

Linebeck himself is even better than his theme. He needs to be a recurring character.

In every Zelda.

And put in every Zelda already made.

Actually, do it for any game EVER.

I would rather have him recurring other than that short guy in green.

You shut your whore mouth! Tingle is, and will always be better than Linebeck.

I'm entitled to my opinion, like you are. Tingle is funny, but useless.

Can't wait :)

You mean the 19th :knock-knock: anyway there's a shop near me that sells US DS games so fingers crossed that I get it a week earlyyyyyyyyYYYYYYY!!! :accordion-head:

I wonder if you mean Grainger Games? I don't know how they get away with it? Surely it's highly illegal to sell US games in bulk fashion? On the plus side, they've had T&T in for at least a week, and it's not due out here for ages, AND it's really cheap!

When I got Zelda, I got up to the bit with
Spoiler:
The 4 witch thingies
did all that, got all the way to the end of that section and the battery ran out. I had not saved. This sounds silly but I can't face doing it all again! I know it's not that much, but this Zelda doesn't quite have the same hold on me that previous ones did.
Re: Legend of Zelda: Phantom Hourglass is out! :DTopic%20Title

That's probably because it's terribly put together and has uninteresting dungeons/bosses.

I like PH, it's a good little game to cure boredom. In my opinion it's not as good as some of the other Zelda titles, but had some nice ideas involving the stylus etc., although sometimes I found it frustrating to do different attacks. And it took me ages to get used to rolling using the stylus at first...

The graphics were alright I suppose, for utilising the DS' capability. A little strange-looking in parts (not sure if the Wind Waker celshaded style was best suited for it), but no, it was passable.

In general, for a DS game I think it's pretty good. :)

Still nowhere near as good as the N64 titles in my opinion though, I remain loyal to OoT and MM.

Jesus Christ! You must be a fucking mind reader! :will: Anyway, the one near me hasn't had T&T at all (in fact none of the US games I want, they don't have it. But I have GS3 DS anyway so....yeah....). Also, they probably pay for their imports so it COULD be legal.

I'm about to get into the 6th dungeon, but I have a question about the 4th:

Spoiler:
When you got to the floor where you rescue the final Cubus sister, how were you supposed to figure out the lever puzzle? I had to consult a guide for that part because I had no clue on how to solve it.

There's a sign next to it telling you the order :P

Well, the sign was different than all the others:
Normally, a sign would look something like this:

1 4 2 5 3

And you'd have to pull the left-most lever, and after that the middle one.
However, for this one, you would first pull the left-most lever (1), and after that the 4th lever in the row (4). It just required a different approach :P

Wait.

Wouldn't you normally, assuming all levers were in the same horizontal row, pull 1, then 4, then 2 etc?

What's this new approach? :< I couldn't connect what the sign said with what I had to do in the end.

Uh, well, all I remember is that it was the other way than the normal way. The normal way might be different than I thought.

If I remember correctly, the sign said 2 4 5 1 3. So naturally, I pulled the levers in that order and it didn't work. After randomly doing this puzzle for 2 hours, I decided to look up a guide. The way the levers are meant to be pulled (from left to right) is:

4 1 5 2 3

I don't see any connection... =/

You have to number the levers from left to right (1 2 3 4 5). Then, just read the sign from left to right and it'll tell you which levers to pull in order. So:

First, pull lever #2
Then #4
Then #5
Then #1
And last, #3

Yeah, it took me a couple minutes to figure that out.

Yeah, it took me a couple minutes to figure that out.

But, as I just explained, that's not the order in which I pulled the levers.

First pull #4.
Second, pull #1.
Third, pull #5.
Fourth, pull #2.
Last, pull #3.

^When I pulled it in that order, I was able to proceed. The only levers that remain in the same place is #5 and #3, the others are different.

...Okay, your previous post confused me and I did the puzzle about a week ago so I didn't remember correctly. I'd like to amend my testimony.

The sign tells you the order in which you pull the levers.

Second Fourth Fifth First Third

And exactly that way didn't work. We couldn't see a connection between the order on the sign and the order we were supposed to follow in the end - at all.

SOMEBODY is remembering the puzzle wrong then, because I had very little trouble solving it and I'm positive it was one of those solutions. Image

Whenever I saved that guy on the Traveler's ship, he would give me presnts, right? I always found it funny when he gave me more than one.

"One more" I always chuckled when he said that.
