I didn't like Ben or Trilo to be honest.

Spoiler:
And the whole case was too bland since every one loved Russel Berry and that a man like Acro would result to killing a sixteen-year old girl for being too innocent. I think he could at least told her how he really felt.

It just left a bad taste in my mouth.

I hated it, Max was a bit of an ass... I kinda got used to him at the end of the case as he explain why he thought that way to the other members, but that was still cruel what he did to Ben.

Spoiler: Real murderer
And why did the nicest person who was handicapped have to be the killer? Who kills someone when they can't even see them? On top of that, did anyone feel annoyed that when get near the he simply changes the subject and then he you convict shortly after that?

I hated that case.

Firstly, there is Regina, being so innocent it makes me throw up.
Spoiler:
And everthing is her fault: Her father's dead, Bat in a coma, Acro arrested.
Okay, that dead-people-become-stars-thing is kinda cute...but! She wanted to marry a doll. A doll!
I mean, can I blame Russell for not showing his daughter the real world? And that poor child never went to school, duh.

Then, there is that magician.
Spoiler:
With long, pink hair, stars in his face and a naked chest, calling everyone sweetie. He's hitting a ventriloquist because his doll wants to marry his crush. And in fact he's Billy Bob Johns and grew up with cows and pigs.

What brings me to Ben and Trilo.
Spoiler:
Ben seems to have a problem. With himself and with Regina. I mean, he can't speak alone, he needs his doll to do that - and Trilo seems to have his own life. This smells soo like loser. And I wonder what's Ben's problem. Is HE in love with Regina? So why doesn't he just say: ,,Hey! I'm in love with you, though I'm 15 years older. Marry me?" Instead, he buys a ring for his puppet and pays it off 3 months. Low self-esteem?

And there's Russell.
Spoiler:
Willing to die for his daughter who almost killed one of his acrobats (haha, Acro and Bat. I just got it now. Am I slow?). And knows it.

Meet Acro.
Spoiler:
The murderer who wanted to kill a 16-year-old because she's just plain stupid and killed her father by accident because he can't look out of his window. Why not shout: ,,Regina? Is that you out there?" Gosh, it hate the whole crew.

Not to mention that stupid clown.
Spoiler:
I mean, laughing about my own jokes sounds so like loser. And I don't like his character-design. And he's a liar, too. Aha! Aha! Aha! Aha!

Fact: Berry's Big Circus sucks.

The whole case was just terrible. It's definitely my least favorite case in the series, except maybe 1-1... and that's only due to the fact that it's one giant tutorial.

I liked case 3. I liked everyone (including Moe) but I HATED Regina. She's not cute. She's annoying. I hope Regent bites her prissy little head off and she becomes a corpse rotting in the ground, not a star in the sky. n___n;

Despite the fact that Regina is annoying and I absolutely hate Acro, I really did enjoy 2-3. I thought the concept was fantastic - just digging through the layers of the circus' dynamic made it all kinds of awesome for me.

And I love Moe and Max to death. There's that.

Case 3 was funny, the only thing that bothered me was Ben and Trilo! One don't talk and the other don't shut up, I always get mad when I NEED to get the doll to continue the case! If I could I would put it on fire >=D

At first I thought Pshhh... would be most annoying at first glance but his character was pretty funny.

Spoiler:
his real name been billy bob johns

but then this case was still crap because there was no suprising twists and the characters were a bit umm...not great but better than this atrocity at least Wendy Oldbag

Spoiler:
:acro: is a cry baby and i knew he was the killer when moe first mentioned his name

Spoiler:
:moe: ok...this guys OK but rarely was really funny

Spoiler:
ben and trilo are terrible especially ben who can't talk without almost dying from anxiety

Spoiler:
:regina: people love her a bit too much before crappy acro came along i thought she might be the murderer

I actually rather liked Turnabout Big Top. To me, it's the "filler" cases that usually make the game (the emotion-squeezing drama in Cases 2 and 4 are good, yes, but would anyone really appreciate it if every day in court had to pick at poor Wright's conscience?).

#1: There's the cast. Everyone seems to view them as annoying and nothing more, but that's because they can't handle their personalities. Yes, they're wacky. Usually hard to reason with. And even their traits are in the way. But would anyone have anything less? It's a circus, the case would be a wasted opportunity if the writers didn't explore the sheer possibilities with a circus cast.

Moe
Spoiler: If you don't want to see his character
I liked how this clown always tried to bring a giggle onto everyone's face with his "talent". He is a true joker; he never knows when to quit, living every moment for comedy; only problem is, he's really really bad at it. So much, that alone is entertaining. He's even stronger when summoned to court on the first day; anyone should be able to recognise that testifying is serious business, yet he insists on trying to liven up the crowd like it's one of his routines; a testament to his immaturity and slowness to react to the seriousness of a situation. And, as order of nature, everyone insists on Phoenix suffering should Moe try and conflict with the ediquette of the court. His landmine testimony was a necessary change from the norm; it'd be too easy if all we had to do was press and present, even when faced with a well-camoflagued lie.

And then when the weight of the trial comes crushing down on Moe, he finally realises just how serious the situation is, as he's faced with his testimony (surprisingly, the truth) being stricken from the record. A mature, rational and [when discussing the circus crew as a family] fatherly figure appears, almost like a 'Bizarro Russel', and takes command (He resists Franziska's whip; SHEER GODMODE). That demanded my respect to Moe, as did his own interventions and works on the second day of trial & investigation. So, myeah, I can't hate Moe, bad puns and all.

#2: Acro.
Spoiler: Myeah, pretty much the entire case here
When I examined the map identifying his room, I systematically reasoned (correctly) that Acro had to be the murderer; I couldn't convince myself that anyone else had done it, or could do it in their mind or because they didn't have the opportunity. Then I began visioning Acro's character; a hard-training acrobat, constantly at work in a gym of sorts with impressive maneuvers. An isolationist, maybe even a bit egotistical, and more envious of the fame Max Galactica had gotten and soaked for the circus than anyone else.

I certainly did not imagine the incredibly calm, friendly, nice man in a wheelchair, unable to even leave a room by himself, to be the murderer. I even had my doubts as he communicated with his animal friends.

In Acro's defence, I issue the following. Most reason that Acro was way overboard with wanting to murder Regina. Yes, this is true, but they seem to ignore the situation, being unable to recognise it. Obviously Acro and Bat were very close as brothers. To Acro, what Regina did was essentially, for a bad analogy, run Bat down with a truck, not recognising he was there and shrugging it off, then pour a keg of urine over the man's carcass at the funeral, and refuse to even apologise, let alone consider she may have done wrong. I certainly would be pretty ticked off if I were Acro, no matter how collected I could be.

And finally, there was the final day where he is a witness. In my mind Acro has one of the best testimonies and rounds of truth-searching in the game, even if you do have it all figured out. He essentially weeds out the genuises from the bluffers, the conspiracy-crackers who try and meet Wright's standards against those who just go with the flow when they can't search for Gamefaq hints (not trying to offend anyone, by any means; sorry if I am).

But the trait I think I liked best about Acro was his, so to speak, realism. Yes, he's being accused of murder. But as a 'hardman' with three days to prepare, he's more than prepared for the worst. Despite how swiftly the terrifying finger is pointed, he still keeps his cool and is one of the very few witnesses/murderers/people ANYWHERE who commend Wright's efforts. Acro was hard to beat if all you look at is his face (he only ever flinches once, and then Franziska intervenes). And when one had managed to reason the location of the murder weapon...Victory feels far more bitter than it should be. At the end of the day, I felt I was convicting a good man who was but partially misguided.

Aaand will return eventually. Watch this space.

Moe:
Spoiler: 2-3
I've always considered Moe the most mature one of the troop - yes, even more mature than Acro - because Moe knows how to gauge himself. He is a clown, there's no arguing that, but the fact of the matter is that he knows he's awful at what he does. He's aware that no one but himself laughs at his jokes. Yet he keeps telling them.

A lot of people discredit Moe for that considering the fact that his best friend had just been murdered, but there are (as with everything in that circus, it seems) layers to him. His personality, of course, is that of a slapstick performer. He's a clown through and through, and absolutely nothing will take that away from him - it's intrinsically part of his character. But there are other motives for him to continue to tell those horrible jokes.

After Russel's death, the circus, as stated, is basically about to fall apart at the seams. All the performers were connected at a single point - the Ringmaster - and suddenly that point was swept out from under their feet. Moe, being arguably the closest to Russell (next to Regina, of course), and also the most senior member of the group, likely felt a certain sense of responsibility for the circus itself (hence his eventual decision to take over as the Ringmaster).

Since Moe is a clown (literally and firguratively speaking), he falls back on what he does best (or, at least, all he knows). He tells jokes. His horrible, corny jokes that only he (Maya?) laughs at. It's a combination of his attempt at being a role model - at showing the circus troop that there is life beyond Russel Berry - and just his ridiculous clowny character. As he says, just before Acro's appearance in court: everyone has to laugh, or they'll just be sad for the rest of their lives.

It isn't until he gets to court and no one is listening that he realizes that his defense mechanism isn't suitable to all situations. He realizes that this trial is important - that it will decide who will lose their life in reparation for Russel's. That's when we start to see his real maturity poke through, and when he starts to think seriously about taking over the Ringmaster position.

Big Top Turnabout wasn't that bad. Admittedly I guessed the killer far more quickly than I did in a few of the other cases (Rise from the Ashes, Turnabout Samurai) but that didn’t make it horrible. Personally, I’m a Moe fan... I kind of felt bad for him the whole time.

I liked the case. The only part I didn't like was the cross-examination of Moe. You get penalized for simply pressing him on one subject. Funny that in a game called 'Justice For All' there was not a shred of justice in that segment.

Regina was annoying, especially the fact that everyone loved her and she was so stupid (or 'innocent'). And Trilo and Moe were annoying...even Max.
I did not like this case.
I tried to get through it as quick as possible so I could move on to the fourth one, which I had heard was riveting.
Maybe it's just because I don't like circuses in general?

However, as my avatar shows, I did get some laugh-out-loud moments from it.
Spoiler:
After about the second time of Phoenix saying 'symbols?' it got a tad repetitive, but I started laughing as Moe made everyone do it, and then when it showed Maya happily joining in, that just killed me. It was pretty great, even if you could see it coming. And, hey, I learnt the 3 symbols off by heart by then.

It wasn't TOO BAD. It just wasn't my favourite case.

Agreed: Dr. Mancusio gets my commendations.

Max Galactica = Jeffree Star, no doubt about it.

As for the case itself, I enjoyed it. I'm a sucker for anything Phoenix Wright, really, but I can also discern the good from the bad. I agree that the case felt almost bittersweet. A bit sillier than others, but you need that release between 2 and 4, I think.

I might have just appreciated that it was the fun, silly case of this game and left it at that.
But I was constantly irritated to say the least about how the whole circus kept going on about how WONDERFUL Russel Berry was...and then while the trial for his MURDER was going on they spent their time cracking jokes and marrying puppets and marrying people through puppets and complaining about people marrying puppets and talking about monkies stealing things...oh, and did I mention CRACKING JOKES? D< Honestly, I've heard of bad timing, but. Some of them redeemed themselves at the end a bit, like Max explaining why he pushed the performers the way he did, Moe actually having a few serious moments when talking about Regina, and Regina saying she would stay by Acro, but. Other than that. Not to mention the mystery/gameplay itself...didn't seem to compare to the others imo.

But anyway, bashing aside, it was a nice little case but that's about it.

That character analysis was absolutely beautiful. And shows perfectly why, despite my previous cynical post, I actually don't dislike Moe.

The one thing that really annoyed me is that somebody literally just comes up and tells you who the killer is. Couldn't you at least let us guess?
Moe : He did it.
Oops Well, okay then!

You mean you hadn't at least thought about it beforehand? Ack

XD He's the coolest man under the sun! He has to be pretty damn confident to post himself on myspace liekt hat ^_^ I say go him!

I dunno if he's THE coolest, but he's certainly a cool guy nonetheless. Strange as he may be, I'd wager that he's sort of a pink beacon of hope for those misfit teenagers that are ridiculed or put down for the way they view themselves and are thus viewed by the world. Jeffree shows the kids who lack hope that it's okay to be different (gay, ethnic, angry, depressed, etc.), and for that I commend him. He's a silly man. Gant

I didn't quite get that same vibe personality-wise from Max Galactica, but, physically speaking, that was my first thought.

I think most people did, after all he inherits the circus and everything.

Umm...I don't think that anyone in this case was actually bad...but Regina was annoying. Cute, but annoying. I felt so sorry for Acro, I'm not going to try to change anyones opinions on him but he's not a crybaby, I'm pretty sure that I would cry if the closest person to me was murdered, and the murderer (Regina) doesn't even care or say sorry because she has a dumb theory of people turning into stars. (No offence intended to Regina fans.)
