Spoiler:
You're shown a scene of Celeste Inpax hanging in front of Juan Corrida, I used to get really creeped out, especially when I was playing it in the dark in my grandmother's basement :yogi:

Resistance: Fall of Man. I'm sorry, but whoever made that game did a great job. It was made to be a scary shooter, and I have flinched a bit even when the volume's off. Dang, those aliens are creaky. (Cool and freaky) My faves are the zombie-like guys without guns. I call 'em Huggies, 'cause they look like they're going to hug you right before they kill you. They sneak up behind you... It's intense. Still, awesome game, awesome Chimera.
Pairings: Miego, FeenRis, EdgeyFran, KlavEma, CloTi, Zerith, Vincrecia.
Just a note, all: I haven't been on in a while, so I'm trying to get my little persona here back in order. I won't be on as much in the future, maybe a few times a week. Sorry!
Re: What games have scared you?Topic%20Title

:/

That's rather weak, they sound exactly like the bloody Redeads in Zelda.

Alien vs Predator is the superior scary shooter, bloody face huggers. ;_;

Whispers in the Woods. It was made by some guy using RPG Maker 3. Absolutely terrified me in the best way. He sets everything up so incredibly. It's one of the greatest games...ever, no matter how terrifying it is.
It's not like JUMPS OUT AT YOU scary, it's scary. The cold atmosphere that surrounds it chilled me to the bone. If you have RPG Maker 3 and a way to copy files to your memory card, I'd recommend this game a million percent.

Silent Hill 2 and 3, lulz

3 was "scarier" than 2, but 2 was more psychological freaky :godot: That's why I like it so much.

I'm scared of Rule of Rose..kind of? I don't play it unless my boyfriend is around. xD

I get tense sometimes when I play video games... like in FF12 when that creepy bangaa-guy is chasing you... and anything in general that involves having to run away. D:

I agree. Survival games in general, especially when you're stalked / you have to run away. What. The.

I also just picked up Orcs & Elves - although it's turn-based, the monster just seem to be popping out of nowhere. And they're disgusting. It's got this Doom flare going.

System Shock 2. Did a good job at setting the atmosphere, more creepy than outright scary though.. Except Cyborg Midwives.. I hate them(and the whole idea behind it, no one should have their humanity taken like that >.>).

Possibly because it's made by id Software, the creators of DOOM?

Kings Field IV (Kings Field: The Ancient City)
It scared me to death. It had creepy music, first person rpg, scary sound effects, death at almost every corner (you can die in the first 3 seconds by walking forward), scary enemies/traps. I was scared so much by that game.

Also Orphen: Scion of Sorcery have 2 instances which scare me

Dr. Salvador, from Resident Evil 4.

You'd think a burlap sack wouldn't do every much, but when this guy is charging you, and multiple head-shots, stabbings and kicks don't do it... now THAT is scary.

Luigi's Mansion - When it's all dark and the ghosts pop up right behind you out of nowhere.

Resident Evil 4 - The beginning of the Del Lago fight.

PW:JFA - The bit when in Moe's room, Money the monkey jumps out at Phoenix. What made it worse was that I had my DS at full volume, and having headphones in my ears.

There are a few games that scare me.
I remember I would play my NES in the dark(daylight ends early in WA). Friday the 13th was nothing short of frightening. The code behind it makes this.

FFW a bit to the N64...Castlevania 64 and Legend of Zelda had some creepy moments. Mostly in the dark and in the rain.

As far as the computer goes, Wheel of Time and Red Faction scared me at some points. The controls for RF always pissed me off. Behind every door you never know what's waiting. Even when you return. :larry:

Super Mario 64 actually scared me when I was like 6 years old and you would have to fight Bowser (OMG Spoilers!!!). When I first fought Bowser, I thought you had to throw him off the edge (instead of into the bombs) which I did and I turned away from him. 2 seconds later, I heard laughter only to be crushed (and killed) by Bowser who jumped me from behind. My jaw dropped as the controller rolled out of my hand as Bowser laughed and the camera zoomed in on his feet. And it took me like week for me to get back to fighting Bowser.

I hated it when I walked around a corner and a Chain-Chomp pops outta nowhere. I always got startled, but other than that...

Portal, from the Orange Box, was a bit intense at times, but it may just be the overall atmosphere, though.

(Thanks for pointing that out, GotA, although it's kind of a given if you play through most of Portal.

The flies from Earthbound, in Threed's cemetary. I NEVER see them coming up.

Also, whenever I'm trying to run from an enemy, and they follow me for, like, the length of the entire screen... times 3!

Majora's Mask had so many scary parts, but I loved it. Still do, as a matter of fact. The transformation scenes still make me get all shivery, though.
