I agree, and I think a "hunting accident" would be the most plausible explanation. I also think that would have been the explanation should he ever have needed to get rid of Edgeworth.

He has a second Job, as a Walmart greeter.

Gant has a second Job himself, He's one of the many who's Dressed as Mickey mouse at Disneyland. Disney didn't even hire him for the job.

Heh.. I was just thinking the exact same thing while reading through everyone else's posts about him having two daughters.

I was thinking... we know he's got kids, but who's the mother (or mothers if they don't share the same mom)?

And if VK is really a perfectionist in everything, be it in the courtroom or at home, then I guess I can kind of see why someone would marry him...although I swear I don't want to think of VK being the perfect lover, nor imagine the things he would have done to court his wife................. Crap... too late, already thought about it :larry:

Nah, I bet it had to be an arranged marriage :yuusaku:

If he's an aristo and so was she it would likely have been a somewhat arranged marriage in the name of duty.

In real life, if he still has a wife... she must've suffered to live up to his expectations. Like how my mother experienced.

Yet am not as perfect as he hoped me to become. I am sorry, father.... :sadshoe:

Hey I was wondering if there are any artist about do you think you could draw what karma would look like in his normal clothes I having trouble to imagen.
I was 17 when I joined this forum. During this time I participated in a thread that made light of sexual assault and event making jokes about it. I didn't think much of it at the time other than portraying a villain. I am older, looking back see how unacceptable & disgusting. I'm not sure his normal clothes would be vastly different from his court ones. Maybe a fair bit of tweed? Formal though I should think. I can see him in one of those crimson smoking jackets (but not the Turkish hat).

When you speak to him in the evidence room though, he doesn't seem to speak too highly of Miles. From the sounds of it, it doesn't sound like someone he would pass the Von Karma name to. After playing that part of the case, it made me wonder why he bothered with him at all, or was he really worth all that trouble purely for revenge? :yuusaku:

Von Karma can come a bit unhinged in regards to his perfection being destroyed, I'd think. And as someone who's often been saddled with the nickname "Spite", I can assure you that a good, well-planned, long-time-to-final-fruition revenge is just about the tastiest thing, outside of limes and dark chocolate.

So, yes. Yes, he was worth it (to Von Karma).

^THAT IS TOTALLY HOW HE DRESSES OUTSIDE OF COURT.

...I, er, can't see him wearing anything but his regular outfit. He probably takes his jacket off on hot days, though. (I'm convinced that, back in the seventies, he had to go on an undercover investigation with Gant. All he did was wear casual contemporary clothes and a pair of sunglasses, and nobody picked up on it, even his fangirls. Because von Karma was totally smoking hot when he was younger. :karma: )

Hmm.. my opinion on why VK took in Edgey is simply because he wanted revenge that badly, and like everything about his life, he wanted his revenge to be perfect. Until the DL-6 incident, Edgey wanted nothing more than to be like his dad. Nick and Larry both mention how Edgey practically never shut up about his dad and that he wanted to be just like him, etc. So the way I see it, Von Karma deliberately took Edgeworth under his wings, not only to crush what might have remained of Edgey's dream of being like his dad, but to also instill a firm hatred towards defense attorneys into the poor boy too.

I think Von Karma might have feared that Edgey (if left to his own devices), might one day become just like his dad...

Spoiler: Edgey's dad
... who was considered VK's rival and was the only one to mar his perfect record (prior to Nick coming along of course). Yeah, I know Edgeworth states that ever since DL-6 occurred and his dad died, his whole concept of defense attorneys and his respect towards them totally does a 3-60 turn, but he also says in the ending that had he known the truth behind his father's murder, he might have become a defense attorney after all. Perhaps, other than revenge, Von Karma took Edgeworth in to make sure he never found out the truth. You have to admit, Edgeworth is one smart guy, if he had been determined to find the real killer, I bet he would have narrowed it down to Von Karma eventually...

Anyway, that's my take on why VK took Edgeworth in and raised him to be a prosecutor. Now, back on topic :phoenix:

^I agree with this, but I also think he was trying to groom a possible successor. Wouldn't it be the most delicious of ironies if the one to inherit the von Karma legacy was the son of his greatest rival? I can totally see him thinking about this and laughing evilly.
Of course, he put the pressure on Franz too, so.... yeah.

Now...let's figure out what this fanfic is about.

Judging from the nature of this topic, I'd say it has something to do with Manfred von Karma. Specifically, him being with or otherwise involved with an unlikely person.

Note that unlikely does not mean impossible. Therefore it could potentially happen.

Now, who could he talk to that as far as we know he hasn't?

Mr. Wrestlemania. You may not know this, but...Yahoo Messenger keeps track of all conversations.

And THIS is what we talked about! TAKE THAT!

You: (1/15/2008 9:25:47 PM): I have 2 fics, as I stated earlier, that I'm working on.
Me: (1/15/2008 9:25:51 PM): What are they?
Me: (1/15/2008 9:25:59 PM): Both are Pearl-oriented.
Me: (1/15/2008 9:26:04 PM): Cool!
You: (1/15/2008 9:26:22 PM): One is Pearl meeting with Ron DeLite and discussing things like ONLY those 2 can.
Me: (1/15/2008 9:26:29 PM): Heehee.
You: (1/15/2008 9:26:45 PM): That one is currently a joint-fic, being made by me and another forum user.
Me: (1/15/2008 9:26:51 PM): Cool!
You: (1/15/2008 9:26:56 PM): My SECOND one is the exact opposite though:
Me: (1/15/2008 9:26:59 PM): Hehe.
You: (1/15/2008 9:27:05 PM): Pearl meets with... Manfred von Karma.
Me: (1/15/2008 9:27:11 PM): Oh boy.
Me: (1/15/2008 9:27:14 PM): OH BOY.
You: (1/15/2008 9:27:18 PM): Title is even made!
Me: (1/15/2008 9:27:20 PM): ...
You: (1/15/2008 9:27:23 PM): "Per-fic-tion".
You: (1/15/2008 9:27:31 PM): Because that's how she would pronounce it.
Me: (1/15/2008 9:27:35 PM): Edgeworth: Um...I honestly don't know what to say to this... ...Except I'm glad it's not Gant...

:takethat:

Notice the two characters speaking. Pearl and Manfred von Karma. Also, the date and time of the post can clearly be seen. Thus I did not forge this piece of evidence.

Also! Notice that von Karma asks her if she has any more questions! This strikes me as odd, as you did not continue with this line of thought in the post. You also did not continue this in other posts in this topic afterwards.

THEREFORE!

You were hinting at the fanfic in that post!
