watching the last season of scrubs as the amazing sitcom that it is slowly dissappears. I hate it when sitcoms have to die, but sometimes they just drag on forever until it really sucks *cough* that 70's show *cough*

How did this topic fall so far back?

The Mission: Impossible television series. Still infinitely superior to the movies. The one I'm watching is a mission where [quote from the back of DVD case] "Barney, Rollin, and Cinnamon infiltrate a town where foreign agents are being trained to ace like U.S. citizens...and who will carry a plague to America."

Half way into the episode, things begin to ramp up like crazy! :o

Out of curiosity I watched the first episode of Bleach.

Then I watched the 151 other episodes and the movie.

In 5 days.

Seriously, this anime is "Over The Top Awesome". I'm shocked. It's better than the other animes I watched lately, specifically Ranma ½, Dragonaut, and Legendz. The characters surprised me the most - they're excelent. Most of the characters are. I really can't say much negative over this, even if I originally took it for "just another overrated show like Naruto that isn't really worth watching".

This, but Death Note is pretty good, I heard it's short so it should finish quickly.

Next in the lines of Animes I Should Have Watched But For Some Reason Ignored is Full Metal Alchemst.

wow, do I have mixed feeling about this one.

The characters start out nicely, but after a while everything turns out to be a big bloddy gorefest. I've never seen so much blood in an anime before. The start was okay, and the episodes 37 and forward were pretty damn good, but for everything in between there were only death, despair, deep corruption, inferriority, etc etc etc. Pretty FUCKING miserable anime. The charecters start getting miserable too, losing all of that which made them likeable to begin with. Way too serious and miserable, and then right in the middle they have no goals and just do whatever, and I just can't understand them anymore. I mean, they started with those funny episodes, I especially REALLY like the one in the mine town, but then the shows loses all humor and entertainment value. I certainly don't think that "yay, let's kill another character! Cool beans!" is a good way for an anime to go all the time. It mixed it pretty good to start with (although the entire nina-thing was steeping over the line, IMO), but then it's just... miserable. And damn, they kill so many characters that it makes Harry Poter 7 seem like nothing. The last episodes were actually EXCITING and FUN (gahahah, 37 is till awesome), but everything up to that point ISN'T. I mean, a large part I was simply skipping in it, hoping for something good, but not getting it. For something like 5-6 episodes, I just skipped all of it thinking "god, get to the good parts, already!". Pretty poor, overall. An anime shouldn't have so bad episodes in between. And it should have arround 10% blood. I mean, I don't MIND violence, but surely they could do something a little more tasteful. I also felt that the religion used in it was way too excessive. I'm not religious, and I can tolerate it, but having 80% of an anime center arround a religion (and not even a god-character) seemed too much. Generally didn't like this.

Okay, next Anime I Should Have Watched But For Some Reason Ignored is Neon Genesis Evangelion. Watched the first two episodes so far, looks interesting.

completed more Animes I Should Have Watched But For Some Reason Ignored:

- Evangelion
Yeah, it was great. I thought that, like FMA, it had too much religion, but I guess it couldn't be helped. At least it was used better. I thought the ending (movie and normal) were too off, though, and that the character development turned out to be a contest on who hates themselves the most. I mean, I don't mind psycological dramas, but COME ON, there's a LIMIT. Oh. and that german chick is hot.

- Love Hina
I don't see it as anything special. It was a great enough anime, but it was kinda bland and empty, when it comes to it. When the worst thing you can face in an anime is robot turtles, then there's something missing in the action perspective. Anyway, it was build together nicely for what it was, and worth watching anyhow. The charrecters were pretty damn good, though, and all the girls in the anime are either cute or hot.

- Chobits
EXTREME. CUTENES. OVERLOAD. EJECT. EJECT. EJECT.
Although the dresses seem kind of.... OVERBOARD. And the storyline may be kind of, you know, shallow, but the way it handles the entire dilemma of person<->machine relationship issues was spot-on. Chii is CUTELY HOT.

- Eureka 7
Wow, this took me by surprise. Very well put together, and I can't see where this would be lacking any place. The entire love-dramaish thing combined with everything else that happens turned out to be more or less a masterpiece. Really, I wish I could find something to criticize (now that I think it through, there were a few things that I could think could've made better in Bleach... a good few things, actually), but I can't, really. It blends seriousness and humour briliantly, and the only bad thing about it is the fact that there isn't an episode 51. Eureka is extremely cute, from the begining to the very end (wow, could they have messed up that part (midna-syndrome?), but it turned out that she got even CUTER XD).

Latest Anime I Should Have Watched But For Some Reason Ignored is Death Note.

Bahahahah. Something else than I expected, that's for sure. For the better, though, this was an excelent anime. The entire death god theme was also executed better than Bleach did, and I generally enjoyed watching the detective struggling. The openings were excelent on top of it, probably one of the best from the animes I've seen so far. And the ending caught me off-guard. I never expected that swimming lesson avatar I saw here to come from that!

Shakugan no Shana is the next anime in the list of Animes I Should Have Watched But For Some Reason Ignored (even though I havn't heard of it before, it's pretty high on the top animes list).

It's kind of new, and in the very beginning I kind of got the feeling that it tried to copy bleach. But I really like how they made the charrecters develop, and it turns out that it's actually a pretty damn good anime. The first season is largely based on fighting, so it was a bit of a surprise that the second season, so far, hasn't had nearly that level of fighting, but almost completely based on the lovestories in the anime. While I DO think that even those action-deprived episodes are extremely funny anyway, I am still looking forward to the next episode, where the action really looks like it'll be pumpin'. But it'll take a month before I can see it. Oh, and while talking about the love stories, I find the main character to be kind of an idiot. I mean, he doesn't get anything. And it is kind of stupid how all the events in the entire world prevents Shana from saying 'I love you'. I mean, progress the story, damn it! XD But besides this point, I can't really critizise this anime much.

Stumpled upon, and subsequently watched, and anime called Air. What a sad, sad, story. I didn't end up crying, but I'd be damned if I didn't say that I was moved by it. Besides the fact that I think it's too sad for my tastes, it was done excelently. But why are there so many people in that town with mental issues...? :meekins:

Newest Anime I Should Have Watched But For Some Reason Ignored is InuYasha, the first season complete. Seems a bit old and weak compared to other animes, but the first season was pretty good. I'll be sure to watch the rest of it. I think the main charecter is extremely blank, the art style seems inferior, and that the plot seems pretty thin so far, but besides that - I'm still watching it.

Ah, spending 10+ hours aday watching animes. Thank god for christmas vacation.

Finished another anime I probably should have watched before, Card Captor Sakura. Very nice easy-going anime. Really cute, and even though the action is basicly absent (not that there isn't action, but there's no focus on it), it still is an excelent anime. They make one happy, and Sakura has to be the cutest thing ever devised. I mean, she can't not be cute, no matter what costume she has. I'm possitively surprised by this anime, I'll have to say that. The movies were pretty swell as well.

Anyway, saw that Sakura is aprrently also in another anime series that I've heard recomended, tsubasa chronicles I think it was called. I'll try that one next.
