It seems they named the villain and his purpose and everything, was this ever discussed anywhere else?
"the world of Smash Bros. is invaded by an entity called the Ancient Minister and his army of creatures, called "The Primid." Normally, characters come alive in the world of Smash Bros. to do battle, then turn back into trophies when defeated. However, the Ancient Minister starts turning characters into trophies to harness their power, then detonates bombs that suck pieces of the world back into his realm of Subspace. Eventually, all the characters must work together to defeat the invading creatures from Subspace - this is accomplished by playing through side-scrolling levels."

the answer would probably "3rd party is a special case", but still
im guessing that you will start of with only a few characters and probably unlock some of them after meeting/playing with them in subspace mode.

There was a new playable Brawl demo at Jump Festa '08 in Japan. It had a few new and interesting things, such as:
- Kirby plays more like he did in the N64 version.
- Pokémon Trainer shouts out the names of his Pokémon while releasing them.
- Duster from Mother 3 and Princess Rosalina from Super Mario Galaxy are ATs.
- Sandbag is an item.
There's probably more, but there doesn't seem to be any videos yet. It's ironic, too, since cameras were allowed at this event but not E for All.

This was a while ago, but I personally am very happy that Wario has his old overalls as well as his biker thing. As one who loved playing as traditional Wario in Mario Party 2 (back in my younger days) I can't stand his new costume.
