Uh...Gundam Wing and Endless Waltz is ten years old.
The original Gundam series, which was also shown on Cartoon Network, is Mobile Suit Gundam / Gundam 0079, and was first shown on television in Japan in 1979.
Gundam Seed is the most recent (and god awful) incarnation of Gundam, until Gundam 00 appeared and easily stole the title. (Although, neither are as bad as Destiny. Good god.)

On a serious note, the series is so much better than Seed. I watched the first series but didn't bother with the second. I so didn't care for it. But this one is awesome.

hm. Gundam 00 is getting better. I have much confidence in it, mostly because a few fanboys i know aren't fans at all, they just like all that cutsey crap and need a good beating. ahem.
Gundam 00 is a shiny, awesome and clever gundam series that isn't getting much acknowledgment from gundam fans other than most of us here. How i see it is: If they haven't seen 00, they're mising out.
