The trials board has seen almost no action. The line for active trials hasn't budged in months, and due to the pileup of proposed trials, new trials are not even being accepted into the Docket. Ultimately, these problems tie to the lack of activity in the Court House. The trial that has seen the most recent action was last posted in over a month ago. With the trials trudging along slower than the thought processes of Detective Gumshoe, the entire board is caught in a traffic jam that makes the highways in Los Angeles look like nothing.
Moving from the Court House to the Court Docket thread in the section, the list of trials goes like this:

Spoiler: list. Contained in this section to save space.
JN-8 "Turnabout Friendship" (Zeldafan422) - In progress (day 2)

DB-22 "Turnabout Forgery" (Anders) - In progress (day 1)

NS-14 "Turnabout High" (Dr. Wilder) - Completed

DN-8 "Triple Turnabout" (Gerkuman) - In progress (day 1)

HC-32 "Turnabout Burial" (Sigmund Snipe) - In progress (day 1)

M-13 (LoG) - Completed

SR-20 (Akagi) - Entering Sign-ups

NO-5 "Turnabout Fraternity" (Liam-e) - ON CALL (response needed by 9/12)

DS-7 "Turnabout Brotherhood" (dompaxton)

DZ-27 "Turnabout Cathedral" (ICPO)

"An Unexpected Turnabout" (Edgeworth)

AZ-7 "Turnabout Opera" (COLnop)

NS-117 (GreyKnight117)

EM-7 "Turnabout Liam" (Phoenix Junior)

For starters, SR-20--the only trial that is supposed to have sign-ups at the moment, has yet to even have the sign-up thread posted despite a promise to make the thread before a deadline that was reached over two months ago.
Question: Why has this not been dealt with? There are plenty of people waiting in line to get their trials done--and plenty just waiting to propose their trials--and nothing is being done.

My Proposal: Suspend the limit on the number of trials in the Court House. Nothing is getting done. At this rate, a new trial might enter the Court House some time in March. If the Court House is inactive, then suspend those trials and let the people who have been waiting start theirs. It may not get the old trials up and running again, but at least the Court House itself will be up and running.

Now, I don't know how many people view this as a problem that needs solving, so I'd like a show of posts about how many people agree that something needs to be done. If you have a different proposal, please post it. Just waiting around seems to do nothing.

It's definitely turned into a quagmire... Good post. Hopefully this will come to the mods' attention. I don't know if opening the floodgates will just bog it down, but there's got to be a better system than what's in place now.

Is there some reason you couldn't have just messaged the admins instead of starting a combative topic like this? It really doesn't help us if no one says anything, and then suddenly it's a mosh pit.

If someone wants to volunteer to help organize the Trial forum, I'm all ears. Our mod team is a little tapped out at the moment but we're working on that, too. But instead of taking the limit off how many trials can be running, I'd rather just have someone who can keep track of which ones have died off so they can just be closed.

Sorry about that. I figured that others should be aware of the issue, too. Anyway, if you want a volunteer, you've got one.

Obviously, I'll need some help, as it's a pretty huge mess and I have not, so far, visited the forum very often. If you guys can PM me threads that need attention that'll be a good start for me already :)

Alright, there are some threads of a year old running there. I'm going to get this cleaned up this week.

So, there was a voting topic in the trial forums, and then when Tinker volunteers, he gets in automatically. Hardly democratic is it? :/

He was the first to respond. Sadly that's where democracy fails.

I would have loved to have the job too.

Wooster can do what he damn well pleases, for he is the wooster.

Oh. I never wanted the job. I just felt it was my civic duty to point it out.

Wooster does not care for your civic duty, for he is the wooster.

Also, I feel the need to point out, Gerkuman, that despite how there was a nominations topic going on, when Tinker was appointed, it looked like he went straight to work from there and can continue to do it quite proficiently. Isn't that all that matters? Besides, DeeIsEl isn't around often nowadays, and mod-wise, not many others check out Wright and Co. that frequently unless there's bitch wars going on that get reported the hell out of. Tinker, on the other hand, is on there a lot.

I think he's fine for the job. <3

Yeah, I think now that he's the right man for the job, looking at the awesome job he has done so far. I mean, the trial boards were a mess!

I don't think anyone ever said this was a democracy to begin with.

...

Guess this means I can now treat Tinker as a regular human being.

I just want to add, for the record, that Wooster, Kenji and I had been considering inviting Tinker to the mod team for a little while now. Court Records does not operate on "first come first serve" when it comes to mod privilages.

And me you.

Anyway, the Trials section definitely IS a first come, first serve section, and I locked everything old, which means there are spots in there, waiting to be filled in by your hungry cases now. PM me your detailed case information and see the magic happen.

I am still waiting for TailsBell to show up, for he's the only one who may PM Tinker of the details of his Trial. >Maybe< he got grounded by his parents and can only get online when the penalty's over... I'm not sure. We need to wait for him to come back. That's okay then?

Obviously, but when over the deadline I'll lock it. It might also be they've continued it on another forum.
