I'll kick it off with that interesting post I saw in the GS5 Ideas topic. *uses magic powers of Copy/Paste*

He also stated that GS4 was a "test" game. Thanks to the high sale record of GS4, the staff aren't worried about introducing a new story.
However, before the new game series can start, the current GS series must come to an end and GS5 will be the farewell show. GS5 will break the record of GS1's DS remake and become the longest one of the whole series. Almost all the old characters will turn up and some hidden clues in GS1234 will be looked on. Some of the cases which seem to have nothing to do with each other will show a connection. In a word, everything will become clear in GS5. What made the players even more excited, Shu Takumi revealed that the final boss of the all darkness is not a fresh face but someone we are quite familiar with! This person control all in the dark, who can he/she be?
Shu Takumi also said the most of the script has been finished and the game producing is on its way. There is also a piece of news which may let the players down: it's probably the last time that Shu Takumi will take part in writting the script for GS. From now on, other people will take over his work.
Is there any confirmation of truth to this? Cause if it is true, my faith in the series will likely be renewed. While I'm sure a lot of people would be sad to see Apollo and the others gone so quickly, I see GS4 was more of a 'spinoff', to introduce Phoenix's new partner in law, and set up an ending plot in GS5. If GS5 is really the last game of Phoenix's series, it's likely he'll be playable again as well, hopefully with Apollo being playable in other cases. With six cases, it would be hard for Nick to not be playable at one point or another.

Firstly about the future GS games being a different series altogether, isn't that what Apollo Justice was suppose to be until the Capcom higher ups forced Takumi to include Phoenix in the storyline? It also seems strange they'd introduce new character Apollo for a couple of games before having another game with a new main lead. Unless what they mean is after this, Phoenix, Maya, Edgeworth, Ema and co will all depart in some way leaving only Apollo and Trucy on their own for future games.
Secondly, what hidden clues? All cases are connected? Try as I might I can't see how on Earth they can say connect the Joe Darke Killings with the Diego Armando incident without it being incredibly silly and confusing.
Thirdly, boss of all darkness? Guy who controls the dark? Erm...what? You sure we're talking about Gyakuten Saiban here or Devil May Cry?

There's another reason why this is fake; it's giving people exactly what they've been moaning about. Some want a totally new cast, some want either Apollo or Nick to disappear, some want old friends to arrive and others just want an old villain to re-appear. It's just wish fufillment.
Although, in the three trillion to one chance it's real, I expect the evil mastermind to be nothing less than Shoe or I won't buy it.

It would be extremely foolish to end the entire series on this.
It could... dare I say...
RUIN ALL THE HARD WORK CAPCOM HAVE PUT INTO THIS SERIES!
Even the six cases would not make up for this final-final boss idea.
Then again, it would be an interesting way to link all cases.
