There could be more, but I find it unlikely--the character select screen doesn't look like it could move any more to allow for a new character. The pictures don't look like they could get smaller, either, without really obscuring the portraits.
Yeah, I posted about that this morning with some pics.
But yeah, this is pretty disappointing. About two or three characters we didn't know about prior to release? Extremely lame.

And it's as I thought: Ye can select different items to take away, or add, to a match, including the Assist Trophies... beautiful.
The CPU Level and Handicap settings used to be sliders from 1 to 9; this new system makes it more obvious what the actual handicap is, and similarly the CPU difficulty settings have been refined, with the official site promising that the maximum difficulty is actually challenging to experienced players for a change.
It's also worth noting that you don't have to unlock the item switch this time around. Notice though that there is no mention of the random stage select switch from Melee, so you may still have to unlock that again. :/
The fan-submitted spoilers are focussing on the major details at the moment and not the fine details, whilst the official updates are more willing to show the subtle details in the game's content that will make or break it; so far it's all very much make make make. :D

I would do something like that. And Sakurai has made this game allot like how I would have. (Not saying I could, just I would have done it similar to how his awesomeness has.)

No Wolf in the pic. We already saw pics of him playable so that's not a pic of all the playable characters.
And Gant AT is still possible. or at least a normal trophy.

What made Wolf so special that he needed to be added? I've never heard of him, they could have replaced him imo and added another 3rd party character or just someone else period.

The full character roster was never going to please everyone, and let's face it: way back in the original Super Smash Brothers, how many people knew who Ness was? Bear in mind Mother 1-3 never got released in Europe at all either; we never got Earthbound, so if anything Wolf is a much less obscure reference than Ness, or Marth, for example.
ROB is a complete waste of a character slot, though, I have to say. I can't see how he'll be any fun to play at all. :/
(Though, I did use him a lot in Mario Kart DS... >_> )

Sorry, but this is most definitely the LAST Smash bros. game.
For one, Melee was supposed to be the last smash game. But when Nintendo announced the Wii, they started babbling all this stuff out that just came to them on the spot, just to make people excited. Sakurai was taken by surprise when Nintendo announced a new Smash bros. game. Nintendo had to literaly BEG Sakurai to make Brawl. And Sakurai has, also, said many times that this WILL be the last smash game (or the last one he works on).

Update: They have released an Introductory video to Brawl, and said that they will now start introducting hidden characters, stages, and information unreleased until now. It also says the whole "View with caution" and "Keep coming back" stuff...

For the past eight months or so, Smash Dojo has served as a source of basic information for the game, but with the release of Brawl, the Dojo will take on a new role.
From here on out, the Dojo will begin to introduce the hidden characters, hidden stages, and additional features in Brawl that have gone unmentioned until now. I’d like to continue to add on to the Dojo so that players of Brawl can come back to this website following it’s completion and view Smash Dojo as a sort of guide for the game.
I plan on continuing updates for another two months, so please continue to enjoy the site.
Just remember, I’ll be posting information on hidden characters and other in-game secrets, so you should take caution when viewing the site if you want to save those surprises for later.
Looks like we may be getting some juicy stuff after all!

The main reason for people wanting Krystal in wasn't because they loved her as a person/cat/fox/thing, but because she had a better moveset potential using her staff.

I must admit that it's a bit cheap to have three versions of Fox in the game and Krystal would probably have been a better addition. However, I think I know the real reason why we have Wolf: you may remember that in Melee, Fox's abilities were heavily reworked; he became a lot lighter and faster than in the original. Chances are Wolf is simply a skin for SSB Fox so that people who liked his original abilities and attributes best can still use them.

Fox, the standard.
Falco, the speed.
Wolf, the power.
Fox would be the balanced fighter of the three. Falco would be a little bit lighter and faster with less power. And Wolf would be slower and heavier but have more power.
At least, that's what I would think.

That would be a dream but sadly the odds of that happening would be the same as Nintendo making an Adapter to play Gameboy/Gameboy Color game on the DS. It's a shame too, I would love a portable Smash Brothers, as long at it didn't play like that Guilty Gears DS game.

Electroplankton was a music game on the DS that was only available from Nintendo directly. They never put it in a normal store. I never got to play it so I can't tell you much else.
