Thank God.

I've watched the World of Warcraft episode quite a few times myself, despite not being a fan of the game.

Your favorite episode? Mine is either "It hits the fan" or "Chef's chocolate salty balls"

Ah, South Park, a show that started off fairly bad and eventually became great. I don't really have a single favorite episode, though "Scott Tenorman Must Die" earns special recognition for what is probably Cartman's most messed up moment ever.

Personally, I like anything to do with Butters. More specifically : "You Got F*cked In The A.", "Butters' Very Own Episode" and "Cartman Sucks" (That last one is, I find, the best one out of the three, however it's not the funniest).

As far as "Scott Tenorman Must Die" goes, wasn't it a huge homage to something? Though I can't remember exactly to what it pays homage to.

"Child Abduction is Not Funny" is easily my favorite episode. I absolutely love anything associated with Tweak (whom I find to be a rather strangely calming character).

And nah, "Scott Tenorman Must Die", as far as I know, was created from scratch for the sole purpose of having Cartman chop up and feed a poor kid his parents. Although, I'm sure there are a few references and minor homages in there somewhere.

I'm sure I saw that revenge story somewhere else, too. It had the same "family member eating" theme as that episode... oh well.

Well, well, a South Park topic. I guess it was only a matter of time...

In any case, South Park is also one of my favorite Comedy Central shows, and I do have a few favorite episodes. "Good Times With Weapons" (Or was it "Fun Times With Weapons"?), "Fat Butt and Pancake Head", the chinpokomon episode, "Cartman's Mom Is a Dirty Slit/Is still a Dirty Slut" and "Terrance & Phillip in Not Without my Anus" are some of my favorite episodes. The South Park movie was pretty cool, too.

EDIT: Oh yeah, I also enjoy the occassional Star Trek references that appear in various South Park episodes.

Quote:
This controversial film begins with a group of young children walking to a theater to view an incredibly vulgar Canadian film, singing gleefully on their way, “Off to the movies we shall go, where we learn everything that we know, because the movies teach us what our parents don’t have time to say!” This line of the opening song already establishes the main conflict of the film. The children’s parents and teachers neglect to teach them properly, and the children rely on television and movies to learn. They easily find a way to watch the R rated film. Fascinated by the obscenities they heard, they begin to emulate the excessive cussing and insulting language. A group of outraged parents demand to know the source of the epidemic of foul language, obviously ignorant about their children’s previous whereabouts. One child establishes a scapegoat by saying, “I’m sorry, I can’t help myself. That movie has warped my fragile little mind.”
Despite a clear R rating on the film, the parents allow their children to view it, and with slight persuasion the ticket-seller gives children tickets to see the film. As concerned American parents often attempt to ban “damaging” media such as television shows, films, video games, and certain types of music, the parents in the film try to ban what they believe is the source of their children’s new, terrible habit of swearing. The children watch the controversial film a second time, and one attempts a dangerous stunt depicted in the film, much like children occasionally perform violent or dangerous stunts to emulate wrestling, films, or events in video games. Once again, parents band together to destroy what they believe is the source of their troubles, not noticing the chain of irresponsibility that triggered the tragic result of the stunt attempt; the parents neglect to teach their children right from wrong and reality from fiction, fail to acknowledge the rating on the film, and refuse to punish their children when they cuss constantly, preferring to try and ban the supposed source of their vulgarity. In a conference, they ask amongst themselves, “Should we blame the government, or blame society, or should we blame the images on TV?”
Ultimately, the group of concerned parents decides that the United States should wage war against the country of the film’s origin, and to hold a public execution of two Canadian actors. The leader of the parents’ union proudly requests American soldiers to “Remember what the MPAA says; Horrific, deplorable violence is okay, as long as people don't say any naughty words! That's what this war is all about!” Ironically, while crusading for purity in the media, parents once again completely neglect their children, who risk their lives to rescue their favorite television stars. Finally, each parent realizes the wrongs that they inflicted upon their children. By starting an entire war to censor a single film, they exposed their children to danger and horrible violence. In a final confrontation, each parent realizes the problems with ignoring discipline and blaming others for their own irresponsibility.
South Park: Bigger, Longer, & Uncut, while among the top 100 most profane films ever created, does not simply present vulgarity for vulgarity’s sake. Despite popular belief, the film actually does present strong lessons, especially those relevant to responsibility. It satirizes modern American politics and parenting methods, such as the tendency of America to resort to violence and parents blaming the creators of adult oriented media for their children’s mistakes. A parent purchases an R rated film, a “parental advisory” labeled CD, or a “mature” video game, then blames the media’s mere existence for the negative influences on their child instead of simply educating the children and giving them discipline. Ironically, controversy over this movie is extremely similar to controversy over the film within the film.

Memorable lines:

“Off to the movies we shall go, where we learn everything that we know, because the movies teach us what our parents don’t have time to say!” (Stan, Kyle, Cartman)

“I’m sorry, I can’t help myself. That movie has warped my fragile little mind.”
“Should we blame the government, or blame society, or should we blame the images on TV? No, blame Canada!” (Angry parents)

“The laughter and fun must all be undone! We must blame them and cause a fuss before someone thinks of blaming us!” (Angry parents)

“Remember what the MPAA says; Horrific, deplorable violence is okay, as long as people don't say any naughty words! That's what this war is all about!” (Sheila)

“You never took the time to talk to me. Whenever I get in trouble, you go off and blame everybody else, but I’m the one to blame. Deal with me. You keep going off and fighting for all these causes, but I don’t want a fighter. I want my mom.” (Kyle)

“Well, the film is R-rated and not intended for children, so-“
“Of course children are going to see it!” (Canadian ‘Movie Minister’ and Sheila, respectively)

“It is going to take weeks to erase the damage this film has done to our children!” (Sheila)

“Your mothers made me throw away my lesson plans and use theirs.” (Mr. Garrison, an elementary school teacher.)

The assignment was to write about any controversial film. There was more to it than that, obviously, but that's the basic gist of it.

My favourite ep is probably "Raisins", because I just love Goth Stan. And Jimmy's unique way of telling Wendy she's a continuous source of inspiration.

Last year as part of my IT Class, I had to make a website on a subject of my choice. I picked South Park.

SP has on and off moments, but I really love it. My favorite episode titles (the eps were good too, but the title is best) were "Do the handicapped go to hell...?" and the sequel "...Probably."

Can't forget I also have 3 video games : Chef's Luv Shack, South Park, and South Park Rally.
Haven't seen the new ones lately but....Mr. Hankey rocks man. And Towlie. OH. AND TIMMY. FTW.

When it comes down to it, I'd say pretty much all the South Parks are pure gold (ESPECIALLY the newer ones). I'd go with the Michael Jackson one, Russel Crows Fightin' around the World" or "This is Lesbos" as top favorites. I used to be able to do Cartman's and Towlie's voices incredibly well, but then I got older and my voice cracked... damn puberty.

Also, anyone remember the n64/PS1 FPS South Park game? Gotta love a game where you can pee on snowballs and throw them on killer toys Von Karma

That was actually probably one of the worst games created. In existence. Ever. The PS1 one that is.

The N64 was one somewhat better.

The game simply called South Park is that game. Peeing on snowballs and throwing them at turkeys. It was okay, but South Park Rally was better.

Yeah, most TV Shows and Movie that get made into videogames suck ass.

Exceptions:
Goldeneye (exact opposite: one of the best games ever. Too bad every attempt made by EA to match this excellence has either come close or fucked up miserably. Nightfire was probably the closest)
Some Star Wars games.
King Kong (But only because it's the easiest 1000 gamerscore points ever)
Rainbow Six (based off Tom Clancy's popular novel. However, this does not apply to Lockdown/Critical Hour, which both sucked ass)
Alien Vs. Predator 2 (actually a fun one)
