O.M.F.G. This is harddd!!!

Well, I'll list the top 4 then. The movie that I widely refer to as my "Favorite movie EVER" is Final Destination 3. I'm not saying it's the most amazing movie ever made, I'm not saying it has the best storyline, but I'm absolutely in love with it. I often refer to it as "The Movie That Saved My Life". [Kinda ironic, actually, considering what the movie's about. XD] I'm getting a FD3 shirt. Heh.

Other huge favorites, in the best order I can manage:

Breakfast At Tiffany's-Me and my friend are big on Audrey Hepburn. She's my favorite actress. <3

Grindhouse-Fun fun fun. XP Cheered me up. Got a shirt, poster, and some spiffy pins. =p

Ginger Snaps-I love this movie so much. About everyone I've shown has, too. It reminds me and a friend so much of us, we've taken to calling each other "Brigitte" and "Ginger". Or "B'" and "Ginge'". Hence my old username. =p This has also spawned countless Sam/Yellow Van jokes. GO SEE IT NAUUU. Especially if you're into horror films, werewolf films...Or good movies in general. XP Heheh.
I used to be BxFitzgerald! ;o

They love them freaks baby. Loooove them freaks. Ching! *winks*-Kris Lemche, Final Destination 3 Interview.

  • The Pokemon movies (shut up)

  • The LOtR movies (the only book-based movies I really liked)
  • The Lion King, Hercules, Aladdin, Tarzan, the Incredibles, Lilo and Stitch and The Hunchback of Notre Dame
  • FFVII: Advent Children (no plot, but I loved laughing at gravity the whole time)
  • Farenheight 9/11 and Bowling for Soup Columbine (need to be taken with a pinch of salt, but very good nonetheless)
  • Imagine Me & You, Lost and Delirious, Loving Anabelle and a few others along this theme >.>

Tada...?

My favorite movie from childhood is probably Spaceballs. Is there any fan of the movie that cannot lip sync the entire script?

There is a lot of very excellent movie productions of today, though.. it's a shame I can't think of a favorite right now, really, but anything Ghibli is sheer magic. Sen to Chihiro no Kamikakushi, Tonari no Totoro, Howl's come to mind. Anything they made is crazy though.

I got a lot of favorites, but I think the one set of films I love to death is the Back to the Future Trilogy...I just love those films so much....I could watch'em over and over and over, without being bored....I've memorized most of the film's dialog, as well as analyze the inconsistencies of time travel within the movie...I could go on and on about the movie...I love'em that much...and the BttF theme is by fat my favorite.

It'll be amazing, we'll have these pigeons, and these pigeons will be trained to recognise the name of certain shitty films, games and bands and like, upon hearing the names, the pigeons will descend from the skies, and carry away the first-born child of whatever people happened to be in the general area of the sound.

accepted = greatest movie ever,

probably because it has the most uses of the word sh*t that were actually relevant to what is going on in the story

also, the fact that Louis Black did a bunch of rants in the movie made it awesome as well

Brazil
Dr. Strangelove
Nightmare Before Christmas
12 Angry Men (I love how, even though the majority of the film is in one single room, the characters are so well done that it never loses momentum).

Next 4 are just obligatory films that always put a large grin on my face.
Army of Darkness
Big Trouble in Little China
Serenity
Raiders of the Lost Ark

Hercules is my favorite Disney movie and movie in general...In close second would have to be The Swan Princess and Megamind.

Princess Mononoke is my all time favorite Studio Ghibli film and one of my favorite animated movies in general.

2001: A Space Odyssey. An absolute classic.

I also enjoy other sci-fi films like Blade Runner and of course, the original Star Wars trilogy. Other great films are The Great Escape, Vertigo, and North by Northwest.

Mononoke was the first Ghibli movie I watched, although when it came out in Germany I was 3 months away of being 12 years old - the age you had to be to get into the movie to watch it. But my brother - and father - lied, due to a little slip of the tongue, saying that I had been 12 for 2 months already.
Mononoke kind of didn't have a proper ending, did it?
Then again, most Ghibli movies seem that way...

I thought the ending to the movie was fine, and the movie certainly doesn't need a sequel. I mean seriously, you didn't expect Ashitaki and San to have a royal fairy tale wedding in the end did you?

No. But I also never thought it needed a sequel, nor do I think any of the Ghibli movies I watched required a sequel. Much as I love them, they sometimes seem to take on things bigger than they should be in the movie - for example, the novel on which Howl's Moving Castle is based on had the war only as a subplot, while Sophie was much more main focus and actually regained her natural hair color in the end. Ponyo was about a boy and girl that fall in love and the girl wants to be human for him (basically, the Little Mermaid) but supposedly this huge moon-imbalance thing and the end of the world and what not, I don't see it. It has nothing to do with the original plot.

I got to read Howl's Moving Castle...But even if I watch a movie adaption for a book I try to enjoy it as is and I liked Sophie's silver hair, it symbolized her beauty...And I thought Ponyo ended abruptly.

I think that Hayao Miyazaki hasn't lost his touch. His animated films are still some of the best around, though I think that Ponyo was a little to much aimed at younger audiences. Something like My Neighbor Totoro is the perfect film for all ages, but I think Ponyo is a little too child-like.

One of my favorites is the first film Miyazaki ever directed, Lupin III: The Castle of Cagliostro. Of course, that's probably because I'm a huge Lupin III fan. :godot:

I even wrote an in-depth review for MyAnimeList. Here's the link if anyone's interested.

Hmmm, it's hard to decide since I'm kind of fickle, always changing my mind about what's my absolute favorite. If I had to choose at least a candidate for absolute favorite, the Dark Knight could definitely qualify.

I just love superhero movies in general. Especially Amazing Spider-Man, Spider Man 2, the Avengers, Captain America: First Avenger, and the 1989 Batman film.

Yeah, I love superhero films too. I find it really interesting that Marvel has this whole Cinematic Universe thing planned out. It'll be very interesting to see where it leads.

The Dark Knight is great, brings back great memories from my childhood, I don't understand why a lot of people find it overrated.

And I adore The Amazing Spiderman.

Me and my dad are really excited to see Iron Man 3, especially since Iron Man is his favorite superhero.

Too bad Spider Man isn't part of the Marvel Cinematic Universe since the rights to his series belong to Sony. Neither will we see the X-Men join in 'cause they're owned by Fox. Though I do think The Wolverine looks really awesome!

It also looks like DC is trying to set up a Cinematic Universe of their own too. Man of Steel will be what'll determine if a Justice League movie will happen. I'd say there's a really good chance of a DC Cinematic Universe since Man of Steel looks freaking epic!

Yeah, there's probably a lot of people who will say the '89 Batman is better. I enjoy that movie too, but the Dark Knight I think had a much stronger story.

Yes! Someone else who loves Amazing Spider-Man! I love Andrew Garfield and Emma Stone! They're just so adorable together! It's also just good to see a Spider Man film that takes itself a little more seriously! And I can't wait for the sequel with Electro, and Rhino, and Harry Osborn, and Mary Jane, and maybe Green Goblin, and-

*catches breath* Ok, I think I'm getting a little too excited!

Well techically i didn't think TAS was perfect. I thought it was weird how Peter didn't care about protecting his secret identity or how he never ran out of artificial web. And how the professor automatically became evil after becoming a lizard man is beyond me.

Still, I look forward to the sequel.
