It has sucked since it returned (outside of a few episodes and runaway gags). Now the randomness has become predictable, and most of the time it seems forced.

It, as well as the Simpsons (my favorite show ever, but c'mon) needs to be put to rest for good, and I think this is King's last season as well.

I think the Simpson's is still good but, this thread isn't about that. But ya The Original Family guy was awesome, sometime after they got cancelled they lost it

I for one somewhat welcome the radomness as long as they're funny (and they've sure toned down the flashbacks now). I never watched the show for a good story so why should I now?

It really seems they are striving for episode ideas. I mean..
an illegal immigrant was really a dumb idea.

Family Guy certainly won't make it to 200 episodes. But I'll enjoy the reruns on Adult Swim until it all takes a turn for the worst.

I second that, it's just too bad, since the return, that the randomness has been pretty hit or miss for the most part (for me, anyway).

Their return WAS alright with their North by North Quahog episode, but then it went downhill...which is pretty bad. I mean, the first season of American Dad was slightly funnier..which is pretty bad.

I loved it when Parker and Stone ripped on them, it was exactly how I felt about the series since its return. "YOU TINK DATS BAD?!"

The first seasons of Family Guy were actually good, but I don't like the recent ones. I haven't watched the show that much anymore though.

The same happened with Simpsons, which was really good until the 7th season. Since then it has just went down. Pity.

It was good for the first two seasons, but it went downhill with the constant flashback jokes and preaching socialist ideas.

But that is just my opinion. :|

Remember the Time Travel episode where Lois married Quagmire instead of Peter.

Just listen what Brian says about the changes a little after they arrived that timeline.

That is one good example I can think from top of my head.

But yeah, I have missed all of those. I think you're just reading into it too much.

Personally, I still think it's good. I mean, I don't watch it for interesting storylines. I don't watch it for good, in depth jokes.

I watch it because I find it amusing, because the jokes are usually pretty funny and because it's on.

I actually thought the Simpsons were in quite a slump, but recently it's been getting better, IMO. I think Family Guy's okay, but I'm getting more away from that, and back to the Simpsons. I've been finding myself choosing MANY shows over FG of late.

I'd rather watch reruns of Futurama than watch new episodes of The Simpsons.

QUOTED FOR TRUE FACTS.

I doubt any of you care but here's my run-down of the popular adult cartoons and how they rank:

King of the Hill: Still funny, and getting put to rest while it's still at it's peak.
The Simpsons: Tolerable until the 13th season. Then it became unbearable. The movie was a slight step up but couldn't save the franchise. I used to be the biggest Simpsons fan ever and now I just can't bear to watch it anymore. :payne:
South Park: Never watched an episode of it in my life. I never saw anything that would draw me to it.
Futurama: Should have had a longer run. DAMN YOU FOX.
Family Guy: Dull. Dull. Dull. Poor Simpsons rip-off.
