Nick visibly cringed when Aser used the name 'Feenie', but didn't say anything as the man drove off with Miles. He got into Mia's car with a bit of a sour expression on his face, but he forced a smile onto it easily enough.
"Well, this has been an interesting day, huh?" He did his best to sound cheerful.

((Thanks. ^^ ))

Aser pulled up in the car, taking the doped Edgeworth inside. "Come on, Captain Cravat. I really don't want you to be getting any less docile against me without me expecting it. Then we can give you some painkillers to keep you high for a bit."

Mia got out of her car, grumbling about the lack of civilian parking at the precinct. She'd had to circle the lot two or three times before she could park, and that was only because she darted in before somebody in a Hummer took the spot.

Nick had opted to not take his pain meds since the bottle clearly stated that he should only take them every four hours. He'd stuffed it into his pocket in case things took longer than he'd expected. He also managed to get that bandage off and make his hair look somewhat presentable considering he didn't have enough time to wash it before they left.

Mia shoved her hands into the pockets of her coat as she looked at the precinct building. She sighed. "I always hate coming down here, it always is when I'm trying desperately to stop a case from going sinking like the Titanic..."

"Uh huh." Nick wasn't really listening. His hand was busy rubbing the stitches in the back of his head. They felt really strange being there. Especially when he'd tried to brush his hair earlier.

"Er, yeah right." Nick shoved his hands into his pockets again, but he still knew the stitches were there damn it! "Looking forward to this being over, aren't you?" He said for the sake of idle conversation as they walked into the station. Normally he'd have added 'I hope Miles is doing okay' to the end of that, but at the moment he really didn't care if he was or not. Miles lost all of his sympathy privileges when he decided to be an idiot.

((I really hate my shitty connection once again >_< ))

Aser got out of his car. He'd had trouble parking, and had only gotten a space by bribing an officer to go out with a shot of whiskey. Aser grunted as he got out of the car, starting to lock it. Then he remembered Edgeworth. "Out." he said, not even attempting to help him, if he still needed it. He had a look on his face equivalent to someone who was about to strangle someone. Instead of strangling someone, however, he took a bottle of whiskey from his pocket, and drank a fair bit of it. He finished, sighed, then returned the drink to his pocket.

Miles got out with a little trouble, but not enough to warrant any help. His mind was scattered in some many different pieces displaced in so many different places that it was hard to see what was in front of him or even know for certain where exactly he was. All he could really do at the moment was trust the occasional words that drifted along in the aether.

"Yeah." Nick rolled around the bottle in his pocket to keep his hand from snapping back there. He stopped to open the door for Mia and when she stepped through he spotted Miles across the parking lot. The man looked as if he were lost in the woods. Nick's look of annoyance softened back to the expression he'd had when he was sitting next to his friend in the ambulance. "Um, be right back." He rushed over to Miles and took him by the arm. "Hey, station is this way." He said softly and led him to the door.
"Ah, thanks, Nick. I wasn't sure." Miles smiled. Nick smiled back.

Aser strolled into the preceint, feeling the effects of the whiskey. He, after stumbling around a little bit and smiling a lot, he noticed Edgewroth and Rite come in. "Are you ready for questioning?" he asked, also checking if the woman who'd been with the men was there.

"Yeah." Phoenix twitched his nose at the strong scent of drink oozing from his breath. "Can we make this quick though? Miles really needs to see a doctor." Nick said as he quickly led Miles through the place to any sort of empty office. The less people to see them there the better.

"Uh-huh." Aser gave a smile (as uneeded and weird as it was), then took them into an empty office on the side. "Godammit, where's Dracon?" he muttered, walking back outside for a moment, tapping his foot.

Draco was in fact in a very stressful sitioation. Because of the gunfire, he had to fill a report out and give it to the Chief of Police himself, Damon Gant. For many detectives and investigators, it's not the best place to be. Though likeable, the chief sometimes behaves rather...odd. After filing the report to Gant (as well as praying he wouldn't play that damn organ) Draco made it out of there with little damage to his ears. "Swimming?" He muttered. "Why does he alway ask about swimming?"

Thankful that the red tape is done, he came back down to his office, to find Prosecutor Aser and Investigator Levana waiting for him, with Mr. Edgeworth in tow. "Sorry you had to wait. The report had to be fill out before I could do anything else."

"No problem with that, Detective Draco. Gant's murder on the eardrums most of the time. And he knows I can't swim..." Amun started mumbling several curses about the Cheif before stopping suddenly. "Are you ready to begin questioning, or do you have any more paperwork to fill out?" Aser pushed some stray hair strands over his shoulder absentmindedly.

"The paperworks are done," Draco said, then to Mr. Edgeworth. "If you could follow us, Mr. Edgeworth." Draco lead the way down the hall into an isolated room, with a long rectangular table and four chairs. He helped Edgeworth into the seat at the far end, and took his next to him. He then waited for Mr. Aser and Ms. Levana to sit down before starting. "Are you feeling any better, Mr. Edgeworth?"

Aser sat on his chair, looking around the room with one eye. He ended up cockeyes and releaxed, looking at Edgeworth dismissively. Hopefully, he'd be drugged enough for it to act like a truth serum, or this was going to take very long to get him talking coherently. He wondered if Gant would play the organ, and Edgeworth would think it was brilliant... Please don't happen.

[OOC: Warning! Big thick block o' text a comin'!]

"Yes." Miles lied. Even with the room currently covered in cartoon beetles singing 'Hello My Baby' he was unwilling to admit to any weakness of character. "I think I've already told you what happened before." Miles had intended to tap his nose, but his finger missed his face and it ended up looking like he was swatting an invisible fly. "As Phoenix proclaimed earlier we were just going to my apartment to pick up some things. My father had mentioned a car title or some such nonsense. I was a bit apprehensive when we arrived mostly because I feared that woman would be there with a basket of poisoned cookies or something." Miles got a little distracted when the beetles started to do swan dives into the middle of the table during their musical interlude. He forced his eyes back towards the detective, but a beetle in a top hat was hanging off of his left nostril. His beetle buddies rock climbing up the man's shirt were yelling to him about calling for help. "Ah...anyway...we were." Miles closed his eyes in frustration. He then shot a rather fiery glare at the beetles on the table who'd decided to shoot off canons as they sung the chorus. "DO YOU MIND?" He asked in a thunderous tone. The beetles all stopped at stared at him. Miles returned his attention to the detective. "I had decided to fetch some tea while Phoenix and Ms. Fey collected some other things. There were some bags in there that I didn't recognize so I set them on the table in order to sort them out later. Phoenix came in shortly after that and mentioned something about balloons. I wasn't really listening to be honest." The beetle rescue team hovered over the detective's head in a helicopter. "Ms. Fey entered after that with a case. I suppose she had intended on giving it to me as a present, but the color of the lining didn't really match the lining in my other brief cases. I like to keep things matching when I can. I suppose she's off returning it right now." Miles paused to see if he was forgetting anything. "Oh yes! Then that woman showed up and shot at Phoenix, but it went over his head. I've got a bullet hole in my wall just above the sink now that I'm going to have to get fixed." He grumbled. "Anyway, after yelling something about Phoenix and her dog she got out a second gun and fired. I grabbed a bottle of wine off my rack and used it to subdue her. Then Phoenix got her second gun from her and shot her. I can't blame him really. Who in their right mind breaks into a person's home and accuses them of doing horrible things to their dog?" Miles shook his head. "I believe you both arrived after that."

Nick, at the moment, looked very much like an expectant father sitting in the waiting room.
"Maybe they're afraid he'll forget it like last time." He suggested, though he really doubted it himself. He checked his watch to see if enough time had passed for him to take something for this head ache. It hadn't. "sonofabitch." He muttered under his breath.

"Maybe..." Mia's voice clearly revealed her skepticism, but she chose not to peruse it any further. The whole debacle in the apartment had left her a nerves a little frayed and the futility of this interrogation wasn't helping.

Phoenix silently counted something off on his fingers. He wanted to know just how many times in the past few days his life or that of a friend had been in mortal danger. He stopped when he got to Gregory Edgeworth. He wasn't sure if the man's life had been in danger or not when he'd called, and he was a little afraid to call back and ask just in case it was. There was no offense meant towards Miles' dad, Nick was just only able to spend all of his focus and worry on a few people at a time. With himself included he was already at three and four would just be too much for him. He might actually just snap, quit his job, abandon his friends, and go live in a box somewhere. It would be easier.

Aser walked out of the questioning room, shaking his head. "He's going to the hospital before I get an assault charge before I hit him on the head with a whisky bottle. Or I throttle him. Or..." he continued his list of punishment's for Edgeworth, then stopped. "Are you coming to the hospital with us?"

Draco rubbed his temples. "Believe me," he replied. "I was ordered by Chief Gant to bring him here for questioning, dispite his condition. It didn't make much sense to me, however I could not argue with him." He sighed in frustration. "Sometimes I worry about what's going on in that tan head of his. Anyway, it's quite clear from Mr. Edgeworth's....condition that he needs medical attention. I clear this with Gant at a later time. Until then, lets get him to the hospital." Draco moved to grab his coat, still aggrivated with Gant for this pointless interrogation.

[OOC: Ooo, good reason. You gives me ideas. :karma:]

Miles walked from the room last looking a little flustered. He was still moving on his own, which was a good thing, but it looked to be taking too much concentration on his part to not walk into things. Nick took this as his cue to help Miles out some and take his arm. This was no received well.
"Let go of me!" Miles jerked his arm away and stumbled backwards a little in the process.
"Miles, please." Phoenix pinched the bridge of his nose and closed his eyes. "You're in no condition to-"
"I'm in perfectly fine condition!" Miles thundered. "Better than you! You're covered in gold!"
"What?" Nick scrunched his face up in confusion. He took a step forward, which in turn caused Miles to step back and into a police officer that was just scurrying from point A to point B.
"Excuse me." The officer said politely and was about to go on his way when Miles grabbed him threateningly by his shirt.
"You. I've had just about enough of you!" He growled into the man's face.
"H-have we met?" The officer wondered. Miles pushed him away and promptly punched him in the face.
"THAT IS FOR MY WAFFLES IN THE THIRD GRADE YOU SON OF A BITCH!"
"MILES!" Phoenix pulled him back. The entire office was staring at them now.
"Is there a problem here?" Asked the large, orange clad, Damon Gant.

"Oh, gods above." Aser stepped back. He'd never been on great terms with the Cheif of Police, and the old man showed no signs of popping his clogs anytime soon. The 64 - or was it 65? Aser could never remember - year-old was slightly scaring Aser know. He moved towards the exit, slowly...

"Ah...." Jesus fucking Christ! Draco was caught off guard with the Chief sudden appearance. "Chief Gant!" Draco saluted, while trying to hide his shock with little success. "Sir...I was just....as you can see, Mr. Edgeworth here, is in....no shape for questioning. He needs to see a doctor, right away, sir. Understand I'll take full responsibility for him and make sure he comes back when he cleared. Is that alright...sir?" Draco felt his entire spinal cord stiffen as he wait for his boss to answer.

Gant eyed the group over his rose colored glasses with a very serious expression. In an instant that expression gave way to a big smile as he clapped together his leather gloved hands.
"Whatever you feel is best, Drakey!" He said with a chipper laugh. "I trust I'll be getting the paperwork on this soon?" He asked, but didn't wait for an answer. "SPLENDID! Well I must be off. I have dinner with the Udgey soon." He declared and left the premises. The entire police department let out a collectively held breath.
Meanwhile Miles was pulling Phoenix down by the hair.
"You think this is a game?!" He snapped the question.
"AUGH! DAMN IT MILES I'M TENDER THERE!" Phoenix yelled at him.
