I know threads about this have already been created, but nothing seemed to come about from them.
So, I will ask this only once, does anyone have/know where I can find sheet music for Gyakuten Meets Orchestra/Jazz on the trombone?

Yes! Please!

Or piano, although I can't really play it that well (I have a hard time reading trebel clef, I'm used to bass clef.)

Uggh, I could possibly make some, but they'd be rushed and in note form.
EXAMPLE (Ode To Joy):

E E F G G F E D C C D E E - D D - - E E F G G F E D C C D E D - C C

They're easier to understand in this form if you play keyboard or something. Trombone however...

Just as a cheeky mildly-on-topic point of reference, "wherefore" is synonymous with "why" as opposed to "where", as is commonly misconceived. In Romeo and Juliet, Juliet asks "wherefore art thou Romeo?" as a way of asking why the one she loves is one of the rival family members. Larry

How interesting. Did it mean anything? Thought not, now get the hell out or start making sense.

There are a few video game music sites that use MIDI files.

You can download those, and extract the music from the MIDIs.

I forget which program to use since it was so long ago.

Well... this means that the topic is "Why is sheet music?". A question with no clear answer, to be sure. So that's why everybody's probably talking about the where. Sal

Croik: Sheet music would be awesome. :D I hope you'll get that music soon~

Harry Miste: A trombone player should be able to play your music in your notation style, since I'm thinking you're assuming you're playing in the treble clef, just above middle C. Just make sure you transpose it up a whole step, since the trombone, to my recollection, is a B-flat instrument. ;)

Sheet music, why are you? :F (Wherefore means why, therefore Juliet asked why he was called Romeo, not where he was. A minor nitpick but meh.)

I too look forward to sheet music with interest :)

I think we can agree I didn't make the best of titles. Does it matter? No. Do you understand what I ment? Yes. And besides, I din't put 'wherefore', I put 'where for'. The definiton of where is 'in or at what place' and for is 'with the object or purpose of'. So, in horrible english, I said 'In or at what place with the object or purpose of sheet music.' Not the best english sentence ever, but it still makes sense. Now drop it and get back on topic. Butz

Anyway, I play trumpet. Any trumpet sheet music would be AWESOME. Please. |D

For all we know, we may be getting the orchestral sheet music used in GS Meet Orchestra. Now THAT would rock ^_^. But I don't think it's too likely unfortunatly

Hiya~ I'm the person transcribing the sheet music - I sent Croik the Cross Examination theme and I'm currently screencapping Jake Marshall's theme ready for sending. All the music I will be transcribing will be in the key of C but there seems to be a lot of Bb instrument players here. Bear in mind not all the melodies will be within range of your instrument, but if there's one in particular you'd like to be able to play I'd be happy to provide a transposed version of it for you.

Regarding Gyakuten Meets Orchestra - the midis I'm transcribing from are game midis, they don't have any of the embellishments or additional instrumentation present in the Gyakuten Meets Orchestra tracks. So what I'm doing is concentrating on getting sheet music out for the actual game tracks first, and once that's done I'll do my best to transcribe the embellishments and additional instrumental lines off the Gyakuten Meets Orchestra tracks and use them to enhance the game track notations that I've already made. So fingers crossed (free time permitting) there will be game sheet music and Gyakuten Meets Orchestra sheet music. However, transcribing from an OST takes a long time for me - I don't have the greatest musical ear in the world and insufficient piano experience to guess a chord from its sound. So the orchestral sheet music may be a long time in coming. Great Revival, for example, I'm gonna have to transcribe note for note from the Orchestra OST as I can't find a midi for it.

However, I am using the orchestral soundtrack to fill in some of the gaps present in the midis, and as I'm classically trained the music is arranged with a chamber group in mind... so don't be too surprised if you click on a midi and think it sounds a bit like the orchestral OST anyway XD

Anyway, I must away and get screen-capping - it was good to read this thread and see I'm not the only one who's after sheet music! ^_^

Madmazda86, you're freaking amazing. I look forward to re-learning how to play piano so that I can play the awesome Ace Attorney themes :D

So... I was wondering, could a recorder substitute for the clarinet part?

Re: subbing recorder in for the clarinet part (there are no clarinet parts at present by the way, like I said before everything I transcribe will be in C unless someone requests a particular song transposed for a different key instrument) - from what I can remember (I haven't played recorder since primary school XD) the key of your standard treble recorder is something like low C to top C on the treble clef. In which case you should be able to play the melody lines of the pieces I've transcribed so far with no problems ^_^ Gyakuten Sisters you might have a bit more trouble with because there's a lot of sharps in it.

And guys, wait till Croik's put up what I've sent so far and see if it's playable for you before you ask me to transpose anything. Sure, there can be sheet music for the trombone, or whatever you want, but I need to know which instrumental line in which piece you want to be able to play.

Regarding piano pieces - the transcriptions I've done so far all have a piano accompaniment, but it's auxiliary chords and embellishments rather than the main melody. If you just want to play it on the piano with no accompanying instruments then you can play the L.H. chords, and then combine in the main melody on the right hand, skipping out the transcribed R.H. piano line.

Hope that helps!

I'm using Noteworthy Composer for my transcriptions - it's available here but they've slapped a 30 day evaluation on it. If that's not a long enough time period for you to finish your arrangements PM me as I have the version of it from before they put the evaluation timestamp on it and I can send it to you. There is a save limit but it's easily gotten around by copying and pasting all your staves into a new file when you run out of saves XD Noteworthy can save files as midis or .nwc files. However, if you want to make sheet music from it freely available there's a kinda complicated process involved in converting the notations into a PDF - I'm having to screencap the print preview page and compile the screencaps into a word document to make sheet music to actually distribute on the internet X_X But those niggles aside, it's really easy to use as you can input notes using the keyboard rather than faffing about with the mouse like you have to do in Finale and Sibelius.

Sorry, I fail at phrasing things - I meant you can enter the notes using the computer keyboard! Though if you have MIDI leads for your keyboard then yes, you can hook it up to the computer ^_^

This is going a bit off topic now so I'll PM you instead XD In on-topic news, I have just about finished Godot's theme. This is the one piece I'm intentionally transcribing in the key of Bb, because, well, it's a damn sexy song and just MADE for the sax (though clarinet and trumpet can play it too) ^_^ Though there will be a C key version as well. There's a bit of a delay on the Gyakuten Sisters theme because I'm attempting to combine the Ace Attorney and Justice For All versions together - the Justice For All additions I'm transcribing straight off the soundtrack and it's taking a bit longer than I anticipated (dammit). Also I'm coming up to my summer exams so there might not be any more transcriptions for a fortnight :)

Wow, so much awsomeness ^_^. With so much interest, I think CR should work together on a AA music project :3 I had lots of ideas, each song/medley could have a certain style of music to it. Imagine a Investigation medley (The one from GSmeetOrchestra) done in a carnival style? Or a real Organ version of Swimming Anyone? ^_^

But it's only a suggestion. If people like the idea, I'll make a topic for it in Present Evidence :3

Like Magical Trick Society? Sounds pretty cool. As I said above, I'm using Noteworthy Composer to do the transcriptions, and it's free to download - I've sent Croik copies of all the transcriptions I've done so far in .nwc format. If you want to use any of them to create your own embellishments or add in extra instrumentations/change the style you're very welcome. The program's very easy to use. I really wanna do a rock version of the Steel Samurai theme - that's one of my future projects once I've transcribed all the midis I have XD

Wow, Flowery, that mp3 sounds awesome - I bow to your piano playing skills!

And I've just finished the sheet music transcription of Godot's theme and sent it to Croik. Sadly it doesn't have the lovely-sounding embellishments that Flowery's put in her rendition of it, but it's sheet music nonetheless ^_^

And that's it from me for the time being - I'm off to hit the study books (gah). Have fun with the sheet music when it hits Court-Records.net!
