So, in this topic, you can pretty much discuss anything Edgeworth related. So, let's discuss!
SPOILERS BELOW! WARNING TO "I DON'T WANT TO BE SPOILED" PEOPLE
When Lana stabbed Bruce in the truck of Edgey's car, I was all "no way!" because Edgey wouldn't be the one to carry his body in his trunk, right? Of course, he had no choice, since Gant had called him to the evidence room to get evidence he didn't even need
. So, during Turnabout Goodbyes, Edgeworth proved that he was a kind person. He didn't want Phoenix as his attorney so he could not learn about DL-6, about how his father died. Plus, he also gives Yogi's identity to Phoenix, so he could have unmasked the old man as his true identity-Yanni Yogi. In Justice For All, Edgeworth had left the country after Rise From The Ashes, so he finally returned during the Nickel Samurai case. Then he helped Phoenix learn about Celeste Inpax, and Adrian's attempted suicide. I mean, you all know he was going to accept Phoenix for who he was in the end.

Agreed. I fail to see just what definitive proof there is that he loves men. However, I'm pretty sure that this thread wasn't made to debate Edgeworth's sexuality or post counter-arguments. I have yet to see a prosecutor (or even a character in general) who can compete with Edgeworth in my book. He always seems to know exactly what he's doing, and he can make quick work of a problem.

He was always a fascinating character. Even early in AA, I could empathize with him to some degree. Also, I rather like it that he decided to remain a prosecutor, avoiding the old "evil law-enforcement attack dog sees the light and switches sides" scenario.

His rounds in 3-5 were the greatest part of the entire series, because you get to see the GS universe from a fresh perspective: the perspective of a bitter, elitist man who hates most of the other characters. XD I demand a spinoff.

I'd say it'd be Gumshoe as I'm not really keen on the whole idea of him getting a new assistant.
Anyway, the first time I played against Edgeworth, I thought he was a complete jerk (especially with that 'updated' autopsy report, he seemingly pulled from nowhere). I remember despising him for his 'win at all costs' attitude.
However, as I progressed through the game, I felt more sympathetic towards him (especially in 1-4) and seeing him vulnerable saddened me a bit.
Of all the prosecutors I have encountered so far (up to JFA), he seems the most human, choosing the truth over getting the accused convicted.
I want to see him return to face Apollo (or possibly Phoenix) in a future game.

His interactions with Gumshoe in 3-5 were priceless. I think those two work well together as main character/assistant material

As an adult, he eventually adopted the more mature "pursue the truth" route, but there always seemed something "super-hero"ish about him IMO lol.. not too sure what it is. After he changed for the better in AA, he works behind the scenes and eventually makes a grand appearance and helps save the day in JFA, and in T&T he flies (quite literally) in to save the day (again). And after all is said and done, he vanishes.. yea I guess that's why. xD

We see him change a lot over the course of the series, but he never stops being Edgeworth. If you look hard enough, you can still see 'Miles, the nine-year-old wannabe defence attorney' in 'Edgeworth, the demon prosecutor', 'Edgeworth, the defendant', 'Edgeworth, the reformed truth-seeker', and 'Edgeworth, the acting defence attorney', even if he gets lost sometimes. It gives him a quality of immortality, the way he struggles with being who he is and who he's become. He's a very thought-provoking character.
The fact that he isn't static or steadfast is also one that's really interested me. He despises criminals, and yet he asks Gumshoe to go easy on Acro. He dreamt of being a famous defence attorney, but continued being a prosecutor even after he was defended by Phoenix, and didn't accept his role in 3-5 with much enthusiasm. At a first glance, you might go "onoez! contradictions!", but it's things like that that make him human. He's one of the, if the the, most relatable characters in the series.
Then you look past his depth to the smaller things, like how he's a Steel Samurai fan, which just make you squee inside.
He's incredibly easy to make fun of, and past being relatable, it makes him lovable. I was depressed when he wasn't even mentioned in AJ. If he's not in GS5, I'm going to cry.

When I first payed AA I fell head over heels for Edgeworth and his awesome character! Tee hee, he's the most developed prosecutor in the game I think.
Also, I want to play with his caravat.

He's my second favorite prosecutor of the series, and was my favorite until Klavier came into the picture.
He's also easily in my top 10 best video game characters ever.

Me too! I considered Edgey to be a pain in the arse for the entirety of 1-2 and most of 1-3, until he decided to side with justice. My favourite case is actually 1-4 which is an episode dedicated to explaining most of Edgeworth's past. Then in JFA,

There were some classic Edgey moments that were definitely some of my favs of the game. I don't remember whether it's the end of AA or JFA, but when Edgeworth yelled "WHOOOOOP" it made me laugh. C'mon, you have a cold, icy character like Edgey and then a cheerful, enthusiastic Gumshoe, and Edgey would actually do the "WHOOOOOP". That was very classic. And of course,

Edgey's whoop (1-4, btw) is one of my favourite moments in all of the games. I could ruin it by ranting about how much that action reveals such and such about his inner-self and crap, but in the end, the fact that he whooped at all is enough (and for a second time! I squee'd so hard during the credits). I love how cheerful the ending of 1-4 is, because we get to see Edgeworth being himself, being an awkward dork (Phoenix says something like "This is the first time in 15 years I've seen him so unguarded."). Squee!
3-5 has to be my favourite case, though. 'Edgey's Inner Mind Theatre' gave a lot of refreshing insight into his character (though his 'Hold it!' and 'Take that!' sounded really, REALLY, whiny and got really annoying, REALLY fast). Edgeworth vs Franziska was definitely one of the more memorable court battles in the series, and their sibling relationship is really intriguing. I wish that they delved further into it. That would make me squee

That is definitely my favorite court battle also. If it's not clear enough already, I love these two do death.
Their relationship is so intriguing and moving, and you can see it's hard for them to display how much they care for each other because of the way they were raised. I have a lot of ideas of how their relationship was like while growing up, but I don't think this is the place to discuss that.This is more the place.

I'll have to get used to it...ahhhh...Edgy, I do like him, he's quite a real character, he grows and changes throughout the games, it's quite awesome the way they've written him and he's quite possibly the most believable character in the game.
I do feel he could afford to laugh good and hardy now and then, but that's a dream I may never see.
I've also Considered Cos-playing him, if I could find or make that kind of suit, I have about the same hair cut (Or could after a trim) and I can mirror his mannerisms...but If I ran into a Phoenix at a convention then people would either expect us to shout OBJECTION at each other, or make out...I could totally shout, but I dun wanna be in a yaoi...Poor Edgeworth, always getting typecase into that, I mean it's not like the game really indicates he has a chance with any lady other than Wendy Oldbag...So it's not fair to him...I KNOW! Edgeworth Dating Sim!
