The strange man noticed Don staring.

"Oh, sorry, I forgot I was in uniform. Allow me to introduce myself. I am Byte Man, C.E.O. of the CJ-Byte Corporation, the largest commercial entity in two universes. I also have formed the Paladins, a robot-policing task force dedicated to stopping robot crime. I normally don't go out in public like this, so..."

With that, Byte Man glowed suddenly with a fierce Blue light. When the glow faded, a man with looong red hair and a blue-and-black outfit stood before him. He sipped the capi, and shrugged. "Oh, I basically just collect comic books," Ben replied, tapping his finger on Lawyerman! Issue 12. "Though I've been keeping up with the stories in this brand. The concepts and stories mesh well for a series that's actually a parody of a game. The style is based mostly on the originals, with variations in some characters, giving it a bit of a manga feel to it, letting the drawings deliver the feel rather than words. As for mangas..."

Athena sighed, taking another sip of her latte. "He'll go on and on about his collection if you let him. He hasn't changed a bit since high school."

"I have you know," Ben replied in a defensive tone. "Comic book and Manga collection is quite a popular trend. Why I bet no one in the world has the entire collection of Hellsing, Trigun, Bleach, and Inyuyasha mangas, series, movies, and fanworks that I have."

"And it's also a wonder you could walk around in your apartment, Ben." Athena giggled.

Felix Rodes rolled over tiredly in bed and blinked.

What time is it? he thought. He checked his watch. Slept in again, as usual. He got up and went to the bathroom. He observed the 5 o' clock shadow on his face and reached for his razor.

He yawned and went over what he had to do today.

Sipping down the last bit of Java, Byte stood up. "I'd love to stay and watch all the drama, but I had better be off. Detective Skye wanted to see me about a forensic tool my company just developed, and then I have a late meeting with a certain piano player. Can't play a lick, but he's got a sharp mind. Nice place. Wouldn't mind having one of these places in Webtropolis."

With that, the man vanished, but not before dropping something in the tip jar. Don went to take a look in the jar.

He found a roll of $100 bills, $800 in total.

when Ezra walked into the store, she was greeted by the aroma of coffee. She did like coffee, but after a long rant from her grandmother about how coffee stained teeth and how kids should try to stay up themselves she decided to ask if they sold hot chocolate.

When Ezra sat down she pulled out a sketch book to review her work. She smiled at all her lame little video game sketches.

He walked over to the person who was closest to himself, a young woman with a sketchbook.
"Excuse me miss." Don said "Can I get you something to drink? We have all sorts of drinks, and the first cup is free!" He smiled in his usual warm way as he handed her a menu.

A shy young man walks through the door, the wind blowing his hair forward. He brushes it back quickly, hoping to look as professional as he can, but a certain awkwardness about the man keeps him from achieving his goal. He shuffles up to Donald, looking about as pathetic as an abandoned dog out in the rain.
"Um..." he said in a quiet voice filled with apprehensiveness. "Are you hiring?" His teeth were chattering, but it wasn't from the bitter cold.

The young man's face brightened up like a Christmas light. He started to sound more confident, although there would always be that hint of doubt and timidness in his voice.
"So, I can start right now? Really? I'll get right on it. Oh, do I need a uniform? Is there some kind of coffee training I need to go through? The man was absolutely ecstatic, he couldn't stop talking. It was the first time in a long time he was happy, that his life was starting look up.

(Sorry to jump in here)
Sklar stood in front of the building. The chilly wind fogged over her black-and-silver glasses as she rummaged through the six pockets of her pink jacket for cash. Oh, whatever. I'll look in the warm. Inside the Shop, she tapped snow and mud off her shoe-boots and sat quietly at a table near the windows. Finding a fistful of quarters in her pocket, she put a pair of battered sketchbooks on the table and waited, flexing the knotted-up cords of her iPod earbuds.

Phil was talking with Don until Sklar entered. His eyes glanced over at her. Then he did a double take, and realized how pretty she was. He blinked and turned his head away, his cheeks turning a bit pink. He thought to himself, "I hope she didn't catching me looking at her..." He pretended to be washing a table. Unfortunately, not many people wash things using their hand as a towel.

He quickly realized what he was doing, and remembered he had a job now, a responsibility. He walked over to the girl and asked in a quivering voice, "C-can I take y-your order?"

Sklar glanced up with her muddy-green eyes. Then to the lights to make sure they weren't red-tinted or something. "Um... Yeah. Do you have tea here?"" she said, taking the earbud out of her ear, not that it was on yet. A fine rain of crumbs was floating down from the guy's hand. Hopefully someone else would be pouring the tea, she'd never been fond of chewing drinks. For a second she pondered telling him, but, seeing how embarrassed he was already, decided against it.

"Y-yes, we do, I'll go make some real quick." Phil shuffled off again into the kitchen, eagerly waiting for the water to get hot. He was very excited to be serving his first customer, so excited he forgot that the pitcher of water was right behind. He bumped into, sending it down to the floor. He managed to catch it, but not before drenching his lower body.
"Crap, crap, crap!" he mumbled to himself. He got a towel from the cupboard and dried himself as best as he could with it. While he was drying himself, the pot of hot water dinged, signaling it was ready. "Gah!" he called. He quickly rushed to the pot, emptying it into a cup and putting a tea bag into it.

He left the kitchen, still wet, and brought the cup to Sklar, unsuccessfully hiding the wet pants. He rushed back into the kitchen.

She cocked her head to the side and watched Figgy slosh off into the kitchen. She twirled the earbuds out of her head and quickly wrapped the cord around the thin black box. Slipping the MP3 in her pocket, she darted off in pursuit of the wet waiter. He left a trail of water on the hard floor, so this wasn't difficult. She took a shortcut, leaping over the counter like she was in some sorta shooter movie, which matched perfectly with the screeching tire noises and the yelling.
He had run into the kitchen. She wondered if she was allowed back there, then quickly realised: She didn't care. Still, she creaked the door open and stuck just her head in. "You okay in there?"

"Entire Hellsing, entire Princess AI, entire Love Hina, entire Tsubasa Resevoir Chronicles, .Hack 4 part series, entire A.I. Love You, the entire Kingdom Hearts collection, all of the Studio Ghibli films up to date and a murderous lot of Doujinshi... Not to mention the plushies, stationary, cosplay, custom made plushies from Gumshoe and some of my home-mades... I'd say I collect a little..."
She smirked and took another sip. "One of the better things in my job is the pay... But as is the life of a prosecutor." She smiled and started looking through her paperwork once more.

Sklar watched him mosey off. After he left, she whipped out her iPod, shook the earbuds off, and began to mop up the trail of water the waiter had left with napkins to They Might Be Giants's "Au Contraire". Weather he liked it or not.

Ben's mouth hung slack as Jade named out her collection. Athena couldn't help but smirk at his dumbfound espression. Once she was through counting them all out, he stated "I think I love you."

Athena reached out and slammed his face back down onto the table, this time cracking the wood slightly. "Excuse him," she said calmly, though a slight tenge of anger seeped through. "He tends to exagerate when confronted with overwhelming situations." She noticed the papers Jade was thumbing through, and it got her curious. "Would it be so bold to ask what case you're currently working on?"

When Phil was pouring the decaf, he caught Sklar wiping up the mess. He smiled. It's a start, he thought.

When he exited the kitchen, he noticed the cracked table, and the man's bloody nose. Uh oh, what just happened? Panic started filling in his mind. What if a fight broke out while he was on duty? Would he get fired? Fortunately, he noticed that there wasn't any arguing, but simply comparing collections of, something. He couldn't figure out what.

Hearing a loud thump noise over Fiona Apple's "Waltz", Sklar fumbled the mess of napkins, which landed wetly in a spitball-like mass in front of the Kitchen. ~~She walked over to the table where the sound came from in search of paper napkins and info. "What was that?"~~

To make Figgy's life easier, Sklar walked over to her table and grabbed her cup. She clinked it down in front of the prosecutor. "Here, have mine. It was gonna get cold anyways. and what was the yelling about?"
