A fairly large detective stood over a girl who was kneeling down on the sidewalk, he had spotted her from his police cruiser and in great concern pulled over. Although his kind tries to find out if she needed help she wouldn't have it. He had seen a fight starting from down the street but once his cursier had fully turned 'round the corner they had all fled but for the lone girl which he was trying to speak with.

"Look, you can call me Detective Gumshoe...." He went to reach for her arm and help her stand.

"Let me go!" The girl demanded through clenched teeth, she was seething in pain with a black eye and a bloody lip. "....I don't need any help...."

"Just let me take you to the station and we can get you fixed up from the-" Gumshoe had started to talk but was abruptly cut off by the girl.

"....I don't need any help..." She went to stand but her legs failed terribly under her as she colapsed back onto her knees. "......Grrrr...."

Gumshoe wouldn't have anymore of this, he wasn't a rough man but he could tell she needed help and wansn't going to sit back and watch. He took her arm again and helped her stand walking over to the crusier with a bit of a struggle. Once he had got her inside and closed the door he started to drive back to the Police Station.

"What's your name?" He asked looking back at the girl.

She crossed her arms in front of herself and refused to speak. "............"

Gumshoe sighed and continued back to the station.

In the mid-term of this there was a foul crime taking place only but three blocks away from where Detective Gumshoe had found this mysterious girl.

........The next morning there would be chaos...but none knew of this from the dead silence of the night.

[At the Station]

Gumshoe had driven up to the front of the Police Station and once again helped the girl out of the car.

"Look Pal, I'm only doing this to help you...." He looked at her as he led her inside and got her a chair to sit on.

"........." She blankly stared forward without a reponse.

"......." Gumshoe sighed. "I'm gonna go see if I can find someone to fix you up Pal...." He turned around to head deeper into the station when he met face to face with Miles Edgeworth. "Hey Mr. Edgeworth!" He greeted him cheerfully.

At hearing this name the girl let out a shocked gasp, her eyes widening at hearing this name. "....U-Uh...."

Detective Gumshoe looked back slightly seeing the girl's reaction to him. He then looked back at Edgeworth who was looking over Gumshoe's shoulder at the half beaten-up girl in the chair.

Edgeworth walked past Gumshoe abruptly and over to the girl looking down at her. "What's your name?" He asked.

The girl looked up at him and with slight additude. "....What's yours?"

Edgeworth gave her a frustrated and angery look. "I will repeat my question once more. What is your name?"

The girl looked away slightly. ".......Amy Edgeworth....." She looked down at her slightly brusied hands. "Happy?" She looked back up at him with a look of anger.

Edgeworth was stunned, he looked down at her with complete and utter shock not saying a word.

Breaking the peace of this uncanny coincidence was Maya Fey who burst into the Station with Phoenix's wrist in her hand, pulling the distressed Defence Attorney into the station. "Detective Gumshoe, we have a problem!!"

And that was the beginning on one night that would lead to a very twisted series of events know as the "The Turnabout Renewal".


Alrighty everyone, that was a very small into to the story of this RPG, I would like everyone to feel free to help along with the story as they wish. The best kind of RPs are group efforts and I really would like this to be a lot of fun for all that partitipate. This story takes place after the events of Phoenix Wright: Justice for All and I ask that everyone who has played GS3 not make any refrence to that game in hopes not to spoil it for anyone.

Maya looked over from Detective Gumshoe to the unaware onlooker in the Police Station. "Fanfic? What's a fanfic?" She blinked a couple of times at the man and then clasped her hands in front of her and nodded with a smile. "...This is a Police Station...say it with me...P-O-L-I-C-E S-T-A-T-I-O-N."

[XD I couldn't help myself on that one, sorry. Well, it's an RP ;). However Amy Edgeworth, my OC is based off of a Fan Fic that I wanted to do. I decided to change it to an RP though so that it could be a group effort.]

Maya looked around in confusion, seeing the look on Miles' face made her wonder what could have possibly happened. After dragging Phoenix farther into the Police Station she paused and looked straight at Detective Gumshoe. "....Detective Gumshoe, we need your help! ....The office!...I-it's...." she couldn't finish her sentence.

Meanwhile Amy was staring a hole through Miles face, she seemed slightly angery, confused and sad all at once. It was a very hard set of emotions to put just once facial experssion to. "I asked you what your name was..." she said in a quiet tone and then looked back down at her hands. "....S-Stop staring at me...l-like that..." she stuttered as she talked, this was definatly not a very confidant person....at least not in this circumstance.

Gumshoe turned to Maya. "What's the problem?" He was worried about Edgeworth and this Amy girl but was also distracted by Maya's tone. It was worrisome.

Bio: Older brother to Gumshoe. He has a tendence to be overprotective of his little Bro. Wasn't very happy when Gumshoe became a Detective, is still an issue of trouble between them. He is unusual in court. well, you'll just have to read and find out how weird exactlly. He is also weird in the way he is both a defense attorney and a prosecuter though for this storyline he is a Prosecutor. Easy to manipulate, or so it seems. Likes Shiney things and was constantly in trouble for shoplifting said shiny things.
Apperance: Black hair with streaks of gray, slicked back. Ice blue eyes. Built like Gumshoe only a bit less stocky and is taller. Where's a vest/shirt/tie combo like Godot. And that's all for now

Maya looked over at Detective Gumshoe. "Oh!" She turned away from Phoenix quickly and stared at Gumshoe wide eyed. "The office! Someone broke into it...and...and...THEY STOLE ALL THE FILES!" She was being over dramatic, as always. Even though it was a terrible course of events she was blowing it way out of propotion. "....Detective Gumshoe! You have to do something about it!"

The whole while Amy was staring at the scene, slightly rolling her eyes at Maya's reaction to this "tragedy". She was although intrigued. She knew about the "great" Phoenix Wright...who would want to rob his office?

Gumshoe sweatdropped. "I-is that so....I'll see what I can do but...." The door to the police station opened reveling....JAMES GUMSHOE. Gumshoe looked up and froze.
James looked around then spotted the small group and his brother. He blinked in suprise. "...Dick? I didn't know this was where you worked."
Gumshoes jaw worked n suprise. "J-james?"

Maya's jaw dropped as the man known as James walked into the Station. "Wha!?" She looked between Detective Gumshoe and "James". "...Y-You guys! You guys look alike! Wow!" She blinked.

Amy looked over at Maya for a moment and shook her head. "Maybe they're related..." she replied flatly rolling her eyes. "....Hmmm?"

Gumshoe blinked. James grinned widely. "Ah...oops...Everyone, this is my older brother, James." Gumshoe introduced James.
James nodded. "Nice to meet all of you."
"Why are you here anyways James?"
"Just finished a case today."
"Really? For which side?"
"Defense."
"Ah."

Phoenix stood there and stared blankly at the many coincidences floating around the Police Department. One moment Maya was dragging him through the door, the next he was half expecting a long lost twin or his grandmother to burst in and start making small talk. He didnt even remember why Maya brought him here in the first place, until she started screaming about the missing files. He then flashed back to about a half-hour ago. He remembered walking into Wright and Co. Law Offices and seeing Maya (somehow already inside; he had the keys) standing there, with a shocked expression. He remembered her muttering something like "that dirty rotten theif!" and she took off to the Police Station, with Phoenix in tow. Phoenix came back to reality, and then wondered out loud.
"What in the world is Gumshoe going to do about my missing files?"
He must've said it far too loud however, because Dick caught his eye with a look that said "I'm not as incompetent as you think, Nick!"

Maya looked around, she was getting frustrated. Angry with Pheonix who was acting like someone randomly hit him in the head with "The Thinker", mad at Gumshoe for not taking action into getting the files right away and lasty she was most mad at this weird girl who was back talking her. "Grrrrrrrrr! Come on!!!" She shook Phoenix. "Nick!!!"

Amy looked over at the two and shook her head, her mind was somewhere completely different...her mind was on this man refered to as "Edgeworth". She looked back at him and stared a hole through the Prosecutor.

Miles answered Amy's stare and began to speak with her, in a soft tone. He seemed as though he was searching, grasping for the right words to say to Amy.
"So...you are Amy Edgeworth? I...see. My name is Miles. Miles Edgeworth. Who...how did you...?" Miles shut his eyes and took a breath. When he regained his composure, he continued. "How were you injured, Amy? Did someone do this to you? I can...provide you assistance, that is...I mean...I can get you cleaned up if you would like...." Edgeworth looked away from Amy's eye and stared at the ground.

Meanwhile, Phoenix Wright was in a daze.
"Hey!.....what.....why are we going!......Ah, stop....shaking....me! Maya!"

Amy blinked a couple of times, her body was in a lot of pain...not that it worried her but still it hurt. "....Yeah, someone did..actually a coupla' people..." She shook her head and went to place her face in her hands but flinched back from her bruised hands and looked back up at Edgeworth. "Assisstance?" She slightly scoffed at this, she'd heard that word enough times to hate it. "...Uh...help...does sound good though..." She closed her own eyes wincing. "...U...Uh..." She looked down too, this was...akward to say the least.

Maya listened to Phoenix and stopped shaking him. She however didn't take her hands off of his shoulders. "Nick....we've gotta get those files back. They've got critical information to that murder......"

I want to be Shoe.
Hell. Yes.

The small cat wandered over to the odd people talking and meowed softly.
He then jumped over to a corner and started meowing feverishly, as if to show them something.

Gumshoe was all confused by the multiple events around him. He decided that Amy would be okay and turned his attention to Phoenix and Maya, "What murder?"
James Blinked at the cat. "....?" He followed Shoe, curious, and he liked cats.

"Meow!" the cat was relieved that someone was paying attention to him. He then ran out of the building, Gumshoe in pursuit, and into a back alley. There were three men, and you could just hear them saying the words Amy, hit, and murder.

It was one of those rare moments that that grim, calculating exterior withered away into nothing, leaving Miles bare as a huma being. He was facing one of his greatest pet peeves- violence against innocence, the most unforgivable kind of crimes. He crouched next to her, making sure there were no wounds that might indicate a broken bone, or head trauma.
"These bruises don't look good...Do you want to go see a doctor?" He voice was stern as always, but with a hint of a waiver at the end of each sentence. "Come on, we'll go to the hospital...I'll call the police...and...I...We, can sort this whole mess out..."

Maya looked at Gumshoe and blinked a couple of times. "T-That murder....!" She paused. "There was this murder down at the local bar...just outside." She closed her eyes, Maya hadn't got this frustrated in...well...ever! "Okay, let's go over some things." She pointed at Gumshoe. "I want you and the Police Force down at Nick's Office fingerprinting..." she got quiet for a minute and then in a loud burst shouted. "NOW!"

"......." Amy opened her eyes and watched Miles' own eyes as he was examining her wounds. He had this sense about him, something she hadn't felt since she was a young girl. "...Y-Yeah...a doctor sounds...okay..." she replied quietly, she didn't have a loud voice or an overbearing personality. The only time she had really showed her temper was to Gumshoe. She felt differently around Miles' like the two had a connection aside from their last names. She went to stand up feeling weakness again in her knees, the one caving in slightly. "....Uh....We can talk about it.....I mean this...um...yeah, what you said...".

Gumshoe nearly jumped out of his skin. "Okay then. I'll see what I can do..."

James listened for a mintue the remembered the girl that had been by Miles Edgeworth. "....Hmm..." Quietly he backed away from the alley and back towards the Police station. what they said sounded important.

"Easy does it...Come on..." He helped her put an arm around his shoulder for support. "Will someone be so kind as to get the door?!" There was very little politeness in the usually polite request. Two officers scrambled to get the dual doors, as the two staggered out.
Edgeworths car pulled into traffic, joing the others in their commute. He was silent most of the way, until he was confident his panic was no longer clouding his perceptions.
"...How do you feel?" It was a good a question to begin with as any.

Maya nodded, her usual friendly self had desolved in the sheer fear of what those files could do. ".....Y-Yeah.." She shook her head trying to clear her mind. "I-I'm sorry...Dective Gumshoe...."

Amy was quiet most of the way watching all of the people in their cars and looking around. She was nervous to talk. Once Miles had started though...she felt it okay to talk back. She looked over at him and slightly shrugged. "I-I'm alright...Just sore..." It seemed like a understatment for the condition she was in. "....." She wasn't sure what to ask, so she returned the question. "....How about you?" She said with less confidence then most people would have when simply asking someone how they feel.

Miles smirked a bit as they came to rest at a red light. "I was having better days...I apologize for my snapping at you earlier." His apology was sincere. He was trying to create a comfortable atmosphere between then, to get to the real question.
The car started moving again. He was quiet for a moment, and then, he commented almost as an aside, "Amy Edgeworth...Any relation to Gregory Edgeworth?" He cast her a curious look, both brows arched slightly, yet maintaining a good enough view of the road to prevent a collision.

Amy looked at him, she accecpted his apology with a nod and slight smile. After a bit of considering his question she looked down and her hands and started to play with her fingers abit though it hurt. "Someone had to get to that topic...huh?" She didn't look up. "Gregory Edgeworth....I know him...." She let out a vexed sigh. "...He....well, I don't remember much about him..but he was my father..." Her eyes narrowed, staring at her hands still and partially at her feet. "......Uh......" She didn't have the courage to look up.

Miles's expression turned grim and a thick stillness fell between them. The girl next to him...was his sister. A sister he never knew he had, till this moment in time. Illegitmate, maybe? Had his father slept around? Or was she born after DL-6?
He shook his head to quiet the questions. He sighed a bit.
"He was a good man."

Amy just continued to stare at her hands for awhile...even after Miles spoke. ".......That's nice to hear..." She finally said. Again, the akward silence fell between them, why was this trafic going so slowly? It only made it harder not to talk....after a few moments of raking over the facts in her head she started to talk softly.

"I suppose I should explain a little bit about myself....." She started. "I never knew my father, I was born months after...well, I heard it was after he was murdered..." She closed her eyes and then opened them looking at Miles. "I...I...I'm not sure what happened to my mom but I think that she died not too long after I was born. Ever since I can remember I've been living in an orphanage..." She finished on that grim note.

"Then we share a lot in common..." His expression copied her grim tone. "After Gregory's murder...I went to live with a colleague of his...Manfred Von Karma...one of the greatest Prosecutors to ever live...or so I thought..."
He finally pulled into the parking lot of the Hospital.

((Hey Amy sweetie, you mind if Jenny's in the hospital? Just for some reason.))

There was already a woman in the hospital, talking heatedly with the receptionist nurse.

"Listen...either get me those papers now...or I'm shutting this place down." she smirked, flipping back a burnt sienna-red braid. "That's right, I can do that. Now...be a nice woman and get me the files I need. Now."

Of course the hospital thing was a bluff. Detectives never had that power unless they were of a high ranking. Who knows if she was or not? But still, the bluff scared the woman and she was fervently trying to find the files. Smirking, the woman looked outside, in the distance seeing a red sports car.

"No way...that can't be..." the detective recognized it right away. And her smirk grew even more.

Gumshoe patted Maya on the back, "It's all right. You just starteled me pal." He went to go talk to his boss.

"......A-A-fter his murder...you..." She looked at Edgeworth quizically. "...I...don't understand..." Amy wasn't getting this...was he related to Gregory Edgeworth too? "....If you went to live...with a coulleague...then that means...you couldn't live with Gregory anymore?" She raised her eyebrow just as they pulled into the parking lot. "....That means......" She cut herself off seeing that they had stopped. "H-Huh?.....Oh....." She sighed looking back at Miles' face. ".....I'm sorry...I don't understand....." Amy opened the door of the car looking at Edgeworth, she tried to get out but her same leg as before failed under her.

Miles stopped the car, letting a moment of stillness pass.
"Amy...Greogry Edgeworth was my father..." He wanted to go on. How Von Karma had murdered their father in that elevator, took him under his wing, and made him the grim perfection-obsessed mess that he was. He wanted to tell her about that trial, where Von Karma had set him up for murder, and the truth was revealed. But he didn't...
...That was a story for another day, he thought to himself.
"...I...I know that this isn't going to be easy to swallow...so let's take it slow...for now, let's focus on the present, and have you looked at...Then, we can have a moment to piece this mess together...Alright?"

Maya looked down sadly. "Okay Detective Gumshoe..." she sighed, she suddenly felt helpless. Not only had she let Nick down but that use to be her Sister's Law Office...and Maya couldn't do anything about these stolen files....

Amy looked at him and closed her eyes. "......So then......." There was mixed feelings going through her body, she felt numb, not from pain either. "....I...uh....Y-Yeah, let's get this fixed up first..." She wasn't sure what to say...this was...family? How? She'd lived years without a family. She pulled herself up using the car and started to walk towards Miles.

Miles glanced up at the greying skies, a soft rumble of thunder echoing. A drop sprinkled the tip of his nose. He then looked at her. Now that he was actually looking at her...he saw a lot of both their parents in her. Their mothers eyes, yet their fathers determined brow. He reached up and placed a hand on her cheek, his expression turning to one as if his emotional barrier was going to shatter again. This...was his sister. How do you react when you learn that long ago you had a sibling you never knew about?
Miles then put a hand on her shoulder, in what he could possibly call a brotherly way, and without a word led her into the hospital lobby.

Amy flinched back slightly as he touched her cheek, it stinged a bit but after a moment she placed her hand on his and smiled. It was starting to rain heavier and the rain water was seeping into Amy's open wouds. "......." She was quiet and then started to walk with him into the Hospital. What was going on? This had to be one of....no, it was undoubtly the most insane day she'd ever had. It was like everything she'd known as illigitimate as it was had changed. "....Alright..." She finally looked up at him as they entered into the lobby. "...Thanks....."

He nodded to her, and motioned her towards the front desk. "I'll be here if you need me..."
He gave her another pat on the shoulder and went over to a seat amongst the others in the front lobby, where others were waiting for news, waiting for doctors, etc.
After she was done here, then he would have to ask her how she got so banged up in the first place. He wouldn't ask that now...not yet.

Amy looked and Miles and nodded, walking over to the reception desk. There was a nurse there, they exchanged a couple of quiet words, Amy wouldn't give her much information.

"Please...just give me a sheet, I'm not required to tell you what happened..." Her eyes narrowed looking down at the desk.

Without another question the nurse who was obviously annoyed with Amy handed her a sheet, she took it and filled it out. After passing it back Amy was asked to sit down and wait...they didn't deem her problems "urgent" so they didn't know how long it would be. She turned around and walked back over towards Miles' with a slight limp and sitting down in the chair beside them. "They're so nosey..." she muttered slightly under her breath.
