I'm sure there are enough people on here who have played Pokemon for this topic to get a few replies. So which Pokemon do you think fit best with different characters from Phoenix Wright, and why? I'll start with a few:

:phoenix: : ...frankly, I'm stumped.

:eh?: : Growlithe - Standard police-issue Pokemon. Most Officer Jennys in the Pokemon anime have one.

:pearl: : Abra - A young psychic-type for a young psychic.

:redd: : Snubbull - Many rich people have one.

:yogi: : Chatot - Obvious.

:franny: : Victreebel - Or any Grass-type that can use Vine Whip, for obvious reasons.

:jake: : Rapidash - What better Pokemon for a cowboy than the only one based on a horse?

:phoenix: : Quilfish?
:edgeworth: : I have no idea
:udgy: : Slowpoke
:maya: : Pikachu
:pearl: I have to agree, Abra.
:karma: Gyrados
:franny: : Bulbasaur. Young, and uses a whip.
:godot: Sneasle(sp?)
:damon: Slowking
:payne: Magikarp
:grossburg: Snorlax
:will: Machoke

:uramidn: has Cubone because it's known as the lonely Pokemon and I suppose could be creepy (I mean it can be found in the Pokemon Tower after all) so it suits her pretty well. Or the Ghost Marowak.

:mattphone: has Skitty, because of Shoe.

:phoenix: : Qwilfish - Not a bad idea. Something with spikes eh? Sandslash could work too. Maybe Cyndaquil/Quilava.

:godot: : Miltank - Free milk for his coffee. XD ...Oh, wait, I forgot he takes it black...well, he could use it when he offers someone else coffee.

:karma: : Granbull - Ugly, with the Intimidate ability.

:acro: : Aipom - Acrobatic.

:damon: : Arcanine - Was a Growlithe, evolved not long after Gant became Chief.

:keiko: : Porygon (or an evolved form) - Obvious.

You're thinking of Gulpin or its evolved form, Swalot.

Swablu is a Normal/Flying type, it's the one whose wings look like Q-tips. It evolves into Altaria, a Dragon/Flying type.

:pearly: & :mia-maya: (Is that the MiaPearl smilie?): Gengar - The original fully-evolved Ghost.

Hmm... Had an unusual feeling it wasn't it... I haven't played the game in a long while, and only have faint recalling of it's name.

:objection:

lol. I see :uramidn: more as Darkrai. Why? She has that scary appeal, imo.

I see :shoe: as more of a Meowth. The colour of her fur... Not the asspirate meowth from the show, but rather a wild, cute and gentle one.

:yogi: is Magikarp. Useless man, until he 'evolves'.

:igarashi: Fearow. 'Nuff said.

:minuki: Mudkip. Trucy is just as cute, and also wears blue.

:keiko: is clearly a Porygon, or some kind of evo. That thing is composed on computer data, and I'm 100% willing to bet that she is as well.

:beef: - Gasley (sp?) He appears when you least expect it, and least want it.

:hobohodo: - Poochyena. Those things wander EVERYWHERE in Hoenn.

:pearl: - Togepi. Cute, little, and cries A LOT.

:gipsy: - Clearly Gardevoir.

OOH! and :maya: is a Munchlax. She eats a TON, but isn't so fat and lazy like Snorlax is.

w00t! *feels special because i've been playing since RB came out*

:holdit:

But Skitty is "cuter" than Meowth so fits Shoe better. Plus, Shoe doesn't look like the scratchy kind of cat.

Anyway...

:larry: has Smeargle, for painting. He also has Machoke because IIRC Machoke is known for showing off its power, and Larry likes to show off to the ladies.

:jake: has Cacturne for obvious reasons.

:phoenix: Moltres- It's a phoenix.
:edgeworth: Persian- Snobby cat just seems to fit him somehow.
:godot: Luxray- I can imagine a white Luxray with a visor and it's so cool.
:franny: Ivysaur- It looks mean and has Vine Whip.
:meekins: Wobbuffet- It's weird in a cool and cute way and salutes a lot.
:karma: Tyranitar- One of the most powerful Dark-types, and the Ultimate Shadow Pokemon in Colosseum. I'd say that's a good match for the evil, merciless prosecutor.
:will: Entei- They're both sort of lion-looking, and Will has problems with people having problems with how he looks, and Entei's always getting picked on by competitive battlers for being the worst out of the legendary... whatevers.
:redd: Shiny Honchkrow- Self-explanatory.
:april: Shiny Lopunny- Also self-explanatory.
:damon: I was thinking Zapdos due to the :zap: , but Arcanine makes more sense since it's an evolved police dog, and Ema did say the temperature rose when he first walked into the courtroom.
:zenitora: Purugly- Duh. The Tiger Cat Pokemon that likes to intimidate (why doesn't it get that ability?) and be mean to other Pokemon.
:aiga: Zapdos- With that hair and that nose? What else could he be?
:karate: Flareon. No other choice. He's got the right hair for it, it looks like a fox, and it's a Fire-type, like his hot temper.

Are we talking about which pokemon they would have, or which pokemon they would be? People are kind of answering half-and-half and it's confusing.

Ah yes. Pokemon: PHOENIX VERSION. Top legendary: HO-OH. Earlier legendary: MOLTRES.
Phoenix gets these: Qwilfish [uh, suits him. LOL], Salamence [spiky headed DRAGON!], Marshtomp [just fits!] , Seadra [spikey headed DRAGON]. Also gets befriended by above phoenixes.

Edgeworth: gets an Articuno. Because it has a NECK RUFFLE. And a Houndoom. Pess, obviously.

Larry: The Trio of legendary birds appear. Moltres and Articuno consider Phoenix and Edgeworth their worthy partners. However, Zapdos considers Larry unworthy and electrocutes him instead. Compare Zapdos' design to Larry's hair.

Maya: Espeon. And maybe Umbreon. Maybe Xatu? Vulpix/Ninetales. And Shedinja.

Whatever... I spaced out.

I just remembered that I was in one of the pokemon threads and I felt somewhat good about myself after I finished it. If a mod wants to move my post, then so be it, but to be honest with you, I really don't care.

Sorry if I come off kinda harsh. I don't mean to, but I like feeling special. And I don't like being ignored. When I post my works, all I want is for them to be appreciated, just like everything else.

The truth is that I don't pay attention to much. Maybe I should start, but it's tough to care about other things. It's truely a challenge to me.

:pearl: is more of a Clefairy IMO. I mean, Jigglypuff would require her to be good at arts and crafts.

If you consider Jiggly's doodles to be art, that is. XD

Anyway... Some others...
:chinami: should have Absol. Pretty, but causes disasters.
:ayame: should have Bellossom. Iris is pretty and her name is a flower, and Bellossom is a cute flowery Pokemon.
:kikzou: should have a poison-type since Dollie gets her poison from him <<;; Venomoth and Ariados seem to fit him.

Oh cool I'm not the only person who has ever thought about this :D

:zennybw: - Entei is a Fire type, looks like a tiger, and is known for using ROAR.
:franny: - I named my Tangrowth Franzy :D
:zaviaar: - Fearow. Oh yes.
:takita: - is a Meowth forever and always and don't you forget it.
:igarashi: - Seedot *shot*
I agree with some of these other ones too, like Cubone for Viola. And great find on the Wellington/Suicune look, it's uncanny!
