Linali gazed across at exactly whom Edan was pointing at and bristled, shaking her head, talking in a loud, snuffly whisper.
"Edan, no, don't be horrible! ..." She looked across again at the bright beanie hat, focusing her blurry vision on the man wearing it. If she was correct, then that man was... Wonix Phight? No, that didn't sound right.... She mulled over the name for a moment, tapping her finger on her chin in thought, before deciding to go and grab a pineapple drink from the vending machine. Hell, she'd lost a lot of fluid in the past five minutes, she needed refuelling.

Running everywhere and flashing her slightly ripped panties in everyone's faces was no good - she'd have to find him some other way.
"Have you seen my Daddy? HURRY! It's an emergency!" Trucy exclaimed loudly to a random bystander as she huffed heavily from all the running she did from the office to the streets.
The bystander shrugged, and quickly walked away, thinking she was ethier stupid or crazy.
Expressing her fustration with a pout, she quickly ran the other direction, only to notice a certain building. It was quite familiar. "Ooooh! Daddy took me here before! Let's go and see if he's in here..." Quickly, she ran with a slight stagger in all the excitement of finding Phoenix; she bursted through the doors loudly as if it were an emergency, which it was, and ignored the baliff's attempt to catch her.
Remembering her father's crave for food, she immediately ran head first through the cafeteria doors yelling, "DADDY! DADDY! IT'S AN EMERGENCY! IT'S AN EMERGENCY!," and shoved a torn pair of panties into her father's face.

Stomping her feet in anger, Trucy sat down on one of the rusty old cafeteria chairs and looked down. It was time for her magic. A different kind of magic anyways. The 15-year-old-whining-to-daddy-kind.
"D-daddy...think of all the cheers I could've pulled off at the Wonder Bar with that! People loved that trick..." Trucy looked up and gave Phoenix a wry puppy-dog-eyes. She pretended to rub her right eye and make a tear fall out. She sniffled and cried, "...It was my favorite. And now it's torn into little pieces..."

"M-MAX?! DADDY! DADDY! YOU KNOW MAXXY?!" Trucy immediately leaped up from her chair and screamed as loud as she could, fan-girl like. She clinged onto Max like a magnet and swung her arms over his body.
"H-HI MAX! DADDY TOOK ME TO ONE OF YOUR SHOWS...YOU WERE...WERE..." Trucy paused a moment and glared up in the eyes of the taller Maxmillion Galactica.
"ABSOLUUTELY FABULOUS!" Trucy squealed and continued to hang onto Max, not knowing that the whole cafeteria was staring at the three.

It was incredibly amusing to watch Trucy's over acting, but that wasn't why he was smiling. His mind had already traveled back to Klavier's announcement earlier that he'd overheard and how upset that fresh little prosecutor was about it. He really should do something nice for her. The second time Miles had left Maya dragged him to Hazukura for...no, that was a very bad idea. What had he thought of earlier? Oh yes, a magic show. And Max was here too. It would be perfect. He could set up a surprise party in her office. He should call Apollo and have him fetch supplies.

It was even more suprising when she began squealing at him and almost tackled him to the ground. But to be honest, Max didn't give a damn. He was in the presence of a fan, one of the things that made the job worthwhile and stopped him going back to a life at the farm. And she thought he was FABULOUS! The daughter of the great Zak Gramarye! It was a lot to take in.

Ah well, at least it felt good to vent a little frustration, and the satisfaction she got from seeing the can pop out of the bottom was also pretty much worth it.
Plus, she was pretty damn thirsty.
Not even the little spectacle involving panties distracted her from her valiant quest!
Popping open the can hurriedly, she took a long swig and started to gag. It was WARM.

"I was wondering." He said with his smile in tact. "How would you like to do a double act? There's this young woman just starting out today and her mentor has left her in the cold. A party and some magic might be just the thing to cheer her up." He already knew what Trucy's answer to this would be, but past experiance with Max told him that unless he played his cards just right the lavender magician would decline. "And I know Trucy would love to work with a master. Isn't that right?" That was Trucy's cue to turn on the charm.

Phoenix dialed the office first. He could have called Apollo's cell directly, but it was more fun imagining the boy having to scramble around the office trying to find the phone in whatever obscure place Phoenix had hidden it before leaving. Not that he knew Nick was hiding it for the sake of his own personal amusement, but he was a bright boy and probably suspected.

And then the phone started ringing.
The annoying little tune was slightly muffled, but still loud, and well, annoying. Leaving the files to one side, her let out a small groan and began to search the room, taking great care not to disturb anything too much.
After a small while, he managed ton find the cursed thing beneath one of Mr Wright's unwashed hoodies, oh god, why was it under there?!
Moving the slightly smelly article of clothing to one side gingerly, he nearly yanked the phone off it's cord, blurting out, "HELLO?!"

"Apollo!" Nick said happily. "I've got a job for you." He paused for a moment so Apollo could get properly excited. "I need you to run to the store and buy chips, ice, cups, snackoos, drinks, make sure you get something decaf for Truc, streamers, maybe some of those popper things, OH and a bunch of ladies underwear magazines! When you get it bring it by the court house, but be inconspicuous! No one must know of my plans!" He said that last part like some sort of evil villain which was probably, as far as Apollo was concerned, pretty accurate. He decided to capitalize on the moment by adding an ominous "No oooooone." and hanging up the phone.

Trucy did not need to use her "magic" on Maximillion as he had already accepted the favor of being an entertainer of magic - with her help of course. She winked back at Max and blushed at the fact that her idol had just winked to her. Yes. He Just winked at her.
As Phoenix turned to call Apollo for supplies, Trucy smiled as if an idea was brought up into her head,
"I'll bring Mr.Hat! He needs some new fans, anyways...wanna see him now, Maxxy?"
And without waiting for an anwser, a wooden human-like figure arose from her blue cape magically, taking her signature hat making it it's own; it appeared right beside Trucy, with it's own matching cape. It was indeed magical - it could even talk!
"Hello, sir. How are you today? " the figure opened it's mouth at exact timing of all the words, yet Trucy's mouth wasn't moving the slight bit.
Trucy smiled massively, waiting for Max' opinion of her wooden friend, hoping she would impress one of her idols.

Still, he wasn't going to let his feelings upset Trucy, and besides he was a professional. He knew how to wear the mask. With the finest dignity and friendlyness he could muster he shook the puppet by the hand and replied "I'm fine Mr. Hat, how are you?", trying his best to stop himself from bursting into tears. He failed.

The sudden tears confused Trucy - before, he was all happy and professional...now he breaks down?

She felt a noticeably crying Max lean all of his weight onto her which nearly made her topple over;
A 15 year old girl carrying the weight of a grown man was no easy task -however, she was still in shock of the whole situation and stood very still, keeping her arms at her side while Max hugged her like a child's blanket.
Finally realizing that the great Maximillion Galactica had just broken down right in front of her, she hesitated and put both of her arms around Max, comforting him as she patted his back reassuringly.
"M-Maxxy...what's wrong?" Trucy was almost afraid to ask what he was crying about and kept her stance still; this was the first time today that she wasn't ethier screaming about a famous magician or smiling because of the news that she was getting new panties.
"...Don't worry Maxxy! You can tell me your deepest, darkest secrets!...I'm here for you."
Inside, Trucy was hurt; she knew that Max had started crying after she brought out Mr.Hat and that may have been the reason for making him so emotional. She hid the stinging truth inside and hoped Phoenix would end the call to Apollo and get over to where Trucy was as soon as possible - after all, she felt like she was going to burst into tears herself.

I only realised now that I'm... alone" He continued to hug her, although he shifted his balance so he wasn't leaning on her anymore. Thanks, Gerkuman. Indeed I did have a wonderful birthday <3))"Oh, Maxxy...I'm so sorry..." Trucy was still in astonishment that Max had exactly read her mind; she subconciously sighed in relief - maybe it wasn't Mr.Hat's fault after all.
She gave a short smile at Max and giggled a bit at his joke. He was right, afterall - Phoenix would freak if he found out she was having an affair with an older man.
Then...Trucy thought of something. Something that would cheer ol' Maxxy up.
Of course, this was in a 15 year old's point of view; Trucy hadn't had the faintest idea how this was going to end up, but she was a magician afterall. New tricks are key to sucess!
"Hey, Maxxy!" Trucy said cheerfully, hoping her new idea would cheer Max's gloomy situation up.
"What if we played a trick on Daddy? I could be your girlfriend for a little bit! That might take your mind off of your old one..."
Trucy, who had now let go of Max's grasping hug, playfully nudged him at the side.
"C'mon! Wouldn't you LOOOVE to see Daddy's reaction?"

"YAY! This'll be fun!" Trucy squealed, took his hand willingly with hers and bounced in excitement.
"So...I'm your girlfriend from now on! Teehee..." Trucy rested her head onto his shoulder affectionately and twirled a bit with his pink hair.
Watching Max's awkard reaction to Trucy's idea was hilarious to her and she giggled, still remembering that she had to act as his lover.
Of course, she had never had a relationship with a 21 year old or any relationship; Yes, it was awkward, but the objective was to trick Phoenix and make Max happy again.
"When should we tell him the big news, Maxxy?" She said this with such a sarcastic and bright tone that you would almost think that she was playing a trick on Maximillion. But that wasn't the case - she was trying to trick her Daddy, Phoenix.
"Should we go up to him, hand in hand...or should we wait till' he comes from that call with Apollo?"

Phoenix's first reaction to Max and Trucy's little display was to yell out the word 'OBJECTION!', but he refrained. His second reaction was to walk up to Max and punch him square in the face, but he refrained from that too. Instead he plastered on the smug smile he'd stolen from Miles. The one that made him look as if he had the upper hand even though he had no clue what was going on. It might have even worked if he'd remembered to tilt his head downward just sightly to block the upper half of his face. He never could master Miles' look of total nonchalance, and his big black eyes were now brimming with the strain of restraint.
Not that it really mattered since Trucy always seemed to know when he was faking it anyway.
"I've just sent Apollo out for supplies." He said, deciding that not acknowledging it was the best thing to do at the moment. "Trucy, why don't you come with me to the prosecutors office? I might need some help convincing them to let us in to decorate."

Apollo ran like a madman around the store he had travelled to, literally scraping all the things he needed off the shelves into the basket he had picked up at the front door. Streamers, the food, and...
He paused, staring at the magazine rack, eyes wide and unblinking. Ladies underwear... He looked around quickly nearly dying inside when he saw a little old lady right next to his left side, looking through the puzzle magazines. He... He couldn't possibly pick up one of those underwear things with this woman around, oh God. It would be embarassing enough just to BUY the damn thing. But then again... He was told to be quick... He mentally cursed Mr Wright to high heaven as he reached out with a shaking hand towards the rack, eyes squeezed shut, face shaded the same brilliant red as his waistcoat and trousers.
"Oh dearie, is something wrong? Are you having a seizure? Here, let me get that for you, young man."
The kindly voice of the old woman caused Apollo to snap back to reality, and he watched, stunned, as she placed a stack of the underwear magazines onto his arm. In a flash, he shrieked out a garbled 'THANK YOU' before racing to the counter and paying for the goods, another part of his passionate heart burning red shrivelling up and dying when he realised that he was going to be flat out broke after this.

Yet, his impression of Miles Edgeworth made Trucy laugh inside; she knew he was trying to conceal the truth inside, trying to hid to serious fact that his daughter suddenly held interest in Max.
However, this wasn't true. It was all a scene; it was fake. 100% fake. Or at least 99.9%, with the fan girl part added in.
Disappointed with Phoenix's reaction, she attempted to reply calmly, restraining all the excitement of making her father burst inside, "Ohkay, but I was wondering..." She put her a gloved finger to her lips,
"Can Maxxy come? He can help us with the decorations n stuff! You know..." Trucy gazed into Max's eyes as a cue; she squeezed his hand a bit in recognition that he would accept the offer of coming to help decorate.

"Sure." He said through his teeth. "Let me just give him an idea of what sort of decorations we'll be getting." He slapped an arm around Max's shoulders and led him outside where he'd made the call to Apollo. Then, with the smile still firmly planted on his face, he turned Max around to face him and rested his hands on each shoulder. "It's not up to me who Trucy likes." He said firmly but with a strained jovial tone. "But if my little girl doesn't stay a virgin until eighteen I will kill you." With that said his smile turned genuine and his tone happy and light. "I was a brilliant lawyer once, so I know how." He informed the tall pink man. "But I guess you already know that, huh?" He laughed. "Well! I feel better!" He announced.

"I'd like to assure you Mr. Wright that I plan to stay a virgin until I'm married." he said utterly truthfully. "You'll have no problems at all from me." It was strange, but he had the feeling that something was going to go wrong pretty soon and they all needed something happy to help them all through it. Then again, there was just a chance he was being morbid. Either way, he was going to make sure that the sad prosecutor lady was going to have a good time. "I wouldn't be suprised if Trucy already knew you were going to 'inform' me" Max continued jokily.

"Oh Trucy's really smart!" Phoenix said proudly. "And talented! You're going to love doing magic with her!" He did not want to think about the double entendre there. "Oh, speaking of. We're going to need to keep little miss prosecutor occupied while we decorate...but how..." He tapped his chin. When he heard Ini's voice Phoenix visibly jumped. When he spun around to face her he looked horrified. While his experiences with Max had left him with unpleasant dreams about clowns, his encounter with Ms. Ini Mimi Mini had been a lot less pleasant. He did his best to keep his smile and he even remembered to tilt his head downward this time so that they couldn't see his eyes. "Ms. Mini, I see prison treated you well. Out on good behavior I take it?"
