Uh, I think you misunderstood me.
I meant, since PW-land stuff doesn't follow real-world logic, the prosecution (like the defense) would do things they obviously wouldn't do in real life...including interviewing people. That's all I meant.

However, as the game brought up here is apparently called "Gyakuten Kenji", then we could assume that the "not saiban" part is is in reference to the series' title itself, and not a direct statement to be taken literally.
It's just a guess, but it does explain it.

So why the hell does "NOT" come into place? It makes no sense if it's used just to make a reference to a new GS. If I wanted to make a reference about something that does involve 'Saiban', I wouldn't put NOT right beside it.

I dunno, I guess I just don't see what else we could gain from seeing more of Edgeworth. He hit his epiphany already, and resolved all of his issues. I guess you could play as him in his younger days before he met Phoenix in court, but then we'd all already know where it leads eventually. It seems like I'm in the minority in the sense that I didn't really like the Edgeworth section of 3-5...I appreciated the nod, but thanks to the situation it felt like you were just playing as Phoenix with an extra dab of sarcasm thrown into the script.
Plus, the sparse details of this game so far seem to indicate that they've worked out some new wrinkles for case investigations. If they've really been able to come up with that many improvements, why not just incorporate those gameplay elements into GS5? I'll be extremely disappointed if this game brings innovations to the table while GS5 remains mostly the same as previous games. I suppose that's the Capcom way, though: why innovate in an existing series when you can just make a spinoff franchise and continue to sell both?

ALthough it is true there isn't much to reveal about Edgeworth, i'm curious how the main characters of Ace Attourney will look at the third person perspective. There's a huge door of opportunities that has opened that wouldn't be possible through the Ace Attourney perspective. Besides, i think this'll prevent the franchise from getting old, if this rumor is true, I hope that the product will turn out to be of high quality,.

I really do hope this is real, playing as a prosecutor would be a new interesting gameplay. If it is real then I want it to take place from GS3-GS4. If it isn't real then..

Note the raucous laughter. :P Also, I don't think Payne could help Edgeworth really...Edgeworth in his first trial is more skilled than Payne ever was XD.
I'm still hoping this takes place between T&T and GS4...it would make more sense to look to the future (which they seem to be doing) as opposed to the past (plus, we already know what young Edgeworth was like, and he wasn't exactly a "hero" in those days; not good if we're going to be controlling him)
My money is on it being some time after 3-5, filling in the gaps.

……so,I have no idea where the name "perfect prosecutor" came from...the straight translation should be " Turn About Prosecutor"...maybe it would make more sense if you took "turn about" as "Gyakuten". When you compare the name 逆転検事 with the previous games 逆転裁判,it does become some kind of "New Gyakuten Not Saiban" (Gee, I'm too weak to collect myself now, sorry if it's hard to understand), but you know, rumors can't be spreaded if they are obviously fake.( it sounds obvious enough to me, though=_,=)

Judging by other screenshots, there is no court either. And I do see the words "New" and "Not"...... well then, I stand corrected. But already I do not like this game, for no true reason at all.
