It's just a spin-off game. Take Luigi's Mansion for example, just because he gets a game.. doesn't mean say Toad gets more shafted.
AND this is obviously not GS5, and this game looks like it is set before the events of AA 1. Although I am only assuming.

....The fact that Gumshoe is Edgey's partner in this spin-off title has nothing to do with the fact that there will be no court scenes in this game.

It's hard to tell without a visible head, but doesn't that look remarkably like a certain defense attorney's suit? Granted, the pose is flipped (if it's really a courtroom shot, he usually points with the other arm), but still....

That looks more like Gumshoe, actually.
With the loosened shirt/tie... and figuring all of the other drawings in that area are of Miles and Gumshoe, that's my guess.

Those still wondering and missed it, Gyakuten Kenji = Turnabout Prosecutor.
I do wonder what timeline this is. I'm hoping it's somewhere during GS1 for some reason. Maybe it's because I wanna see Manfred and Gant so badly again, haha. Wait, Franny isn't bad either.

And I'm excited that it's not going to be the main GS5, but a spin-off game. That way everyone gets what they want - fans who have been clamoring about I WANT EDGEY BACK ;_: and such can very much enjoy this (in-depth backround information, anyone? =D) and then people who want GS5 to focus more on Apollo without characters returning at great lengths and such can keep GS5 seperate from the old characters.
Maybe this new game will reveal where the heck Edgey and co went after? Or maybe it'll take place simeltaneously with Ace Attorney? Although watching Edgey lose to Nick would be no fun, and watching him earlier be a bratty prosecutor in his Von Karma days would be made of fail...hoping for it taking place simeltaneously with GS4-5, but with minimum involvement with Apollo's story line.
That is, if this is true. Oh, fakers, you are so cruel to me...
