You can't have a prosecutor game that plays exactly like a defense attorney game: they have different jobs and different focuses. This is true, but I still can't imagine them taking out the Court Scenes all together, after all, if they did, how would you know you got your guilty Verdict?
I do wish they had made this post-enlightenment Edgeworth though, best we'll get if it takes place in the current supposed time frame is Starting to doubt himself jerkface Edgeworth.
Oh well, I'm sure it'll still be awesome.

All Phoenix and Apollo can do are teleport/glide/be carried to wherever they want to go, but Edgeworth CAN WALK.

No no no. I meant why not make it a text action adventure game like the other GS games? It'd still be a spin off in it's own way right. It could still handle the investigation aspect nicely in my view. I guess I just don't see why we need to have Edgeworth walk and jump.
Next thing you know he'll be getting into random battles that build up his EXP as a prosecutor. Ah well though I guess I can't knock it until it comes out. It could turn out well so I guess I'll just have to wait and see. It's just going to be weird playing a GS game in this way.

Exactly, it's been proven that we're playing as the truth Seeking Edgeworth, so it's pretty much a given that it's a bit like playing as Phoenix, just from a Prosecution angle

When interrogating witnesses, you use your special magatama bracelet thing to mentally batter the person before they crack. I'm thinking a Mother-esque battle system, and the enemies could sort of look like bizarre parody monsters of the characters that you're talking to.

We won't know about that for a while, though the odds aren't entirely against it. I suppose it depends on whether or not Capcom believes it can survive in the worldwide market, rather than just on how well the other games have sold.

I've thought about this possibility a lot, and I always thought it should take place between 1-5 and 2-3, while he's discovering the true meaning of "lawyer". The thought of playing as Jerkworth depresses me. I don't think a game with a totally heartless main character would be enjoyable.

But they could only really do that once. Even if Edgeworth eventually gets the right guy, having the defendant end up innocent still means that Edgeworth failed to do his job the first time. You can't have a whole game of Edgeworth losing XD;;

Huh, I always assumed they were automatically labelled guilty from the first trial, seeing as they not only confessed when Phoenix beat them but that he also proved their guilt, and were thus sent to a higher court for sentencing. Why bother with a second trial when they've already been proven guilty?
