Sorry if there is already a post or i already did a post on this i can't remember anyway why do alot of people seem to dislike pw2 or say it is the weakest of the series , while i agree it isnt the best pw game compared to the rest it is still alot of fun
While case 1 seems to defey the neck problem and case 3 seems to be based on luck lol and case 2 seems to defey logic coz of the bullet holes and such
The music is pretty good granted not the best but still good also the charecters are likable to some degree inis like got a tad on my nerves and moes jokes werent that funny the rest were still great people and some scences were aswesome and the final case was EPIC had drama ,emotion etc so overall i would give it 8/10 but i am just wondering why alot of people seem to say it is so rubbish
Also sumthing i forgot to add onep roblem i do have is that some testimonys some evidence that goes with a statment arnt all the ovbious some you dnt think wud make any sense until it is explained how it makes sense also one testimony on case 3 was a waste of time since you learn nothing new at all .

Basically, the reason that I think that JFA is the weakest so far (bearing in mind that I've only played the first two games), is because of 2-3. The bits involving Moe and Max are great, it's just that the rest of that case is a bit of a shambles to be honest (especially the bits involving Ben/Trilo and Regina). Also, whilst most of the music is OK, the Objection! theme isn't as satisfying as AA's, and I find that the Allegro music does get pretty grating after a while.

Case 4 was brilliant though! :butzthumbs:

I don't dislike the game, and one of my favorite cases (2-2 shocked the fuck out of me) is in it, but 2-3 a n n o y e d me to d e a t h. I was soo glad when that case was over and done with. Also, von Karma was annoying.

JFA is my favourite game, purely because of the second and fourth cases.

Case three is annoying, but bearable and Case 1 is as good as most starting cases.

I liked the other games a bit more, but JFA was still awesome, especially on my second playthrough (except for me being disappointed at the lack of shock the second time at the true identities of the 2-2 and 2-4 killers, but at least I knew what to do in 2-3 this time). 2-2 is not only a freakin' awesome case, but also has one of my favorite intros.

I liked JFA, especially as it was the first Ace Attorney game I played. It's not as good as the first game though but I still really enjoyed playing it. :edgy:

I even liked playing 2-3.

The only problem I had with it is that Franziska's whip got annoying after a while.

Turnabout Big Top is probably the main reason why many people dislike Justice for All in comparison to the other games. Personally, I liked that case, although I can see why people would hate it. Personally, dealing with Moe on the witness stand was more annoying than one of the cats I live with when he wants to go outside. After dealing with that case the first time, though, I grew to enjoy it.

2-2 and 2-4 are EPIC, but 2-3, I didn't like. It wasn't Moe's lousy jokes or anything. I just didn't like the case. And I don't hate it with a passion, either. It's just... meh.

It's probably my favorite of the trilogy :0 I admit, it's mostly for 2-1, but there's also the two purest-hearted criminals in the entire series

Yknow Big Top didn't really strike me as an utterly HORRIBLE case. That sort of thing...comes from Apollo Justice. (yes-there-is-a-contradiction-you-f***ing-developers Justice, as I call it...)

I don't really think the third case is often that special, except maybe for the Tres Bien one. But no matter what anyone says, 2-4 makes up for everything. To me, it's the best case in the series.

JFA was hands-down my favorite game in the series, for one big reason: 2-4. BEST. CASE. EVER. It was so win. And 2-3 is in my top five of all 18 cases (for the characters and the tongue-in-cheek circus soap opera).

Actually, I'm probably in the minority for liking the first AA the least (with the exception of 1-5, which was awesome, but that doesn't count since it was made after T&T). But let's face it: ALL the games are made of win in their own special ways :D

My various AA stories (Nick/Maya, Adrian/Celeste, Krissi/Dollie, Klavilami, general stuff, etc). All comments, feedback, and reviews are greatly appreciated! :D

I didn't really like JFA at first because of the music and the fact that it had only four cases, as opposed to AA and T&T's five. But the music wasn't terrible at all and really grew on me. And the cases weren't awful either (2-2 and 2-4 were some of the best cases in the series for me). To be honest, I didn't like 2-3 that much, but I definitely didn't hate it~ I guess I can see why people think it's the weakest in the series, but I loved JFA nonetheless. ^_^

Actually, I loved JFA. For a couple of reasons.

- Cases 4 was amazing. In my opinion.
- We can't get enough of Matt. Either one. I was expecting him to say 'Let me call my lawyer' halfway through the game.
- I loved case 3's characters. Except for Moe. I detest clowns. Moe was cool, but... ... the music... :(
- I loved talking to Ben and Trilo for some reason.
- It's the first game I played (I was a newb at the time, and when I asked the games store for a copy of Phoenix Wright, JFA was what they gave me. I didn't know there were two games, so I didn't notice.)

Oh. Forgot.
- Edgeworth's return :D
- The ending was extreamly well written.
- D'awwww, Maya/Phoenix ;D

For me, I didn't hate it. I found it entertaining. But, the cases were a bit boring and easily forgetable. Most of the Killers weren't even evil, and you somewhat sympathized with them. Matt, was just a spoiled TV star with problems. De Killer put him in his place. I mean, the case was interesting. But I couldn't see Matt ever getting away with it.

I will admit the second game was my least favorite of the series. It wasn't bad, but it just doesn't match the other three games. The cases were decent if a bit annoying at times. There were a few decent twists, but I saw most of them coming (the end of 2-2 being the exception). 2-4 was a good case, but I felt it lacked something honestly. I knew from the start Engarde was guilty and I knew the moment Maya walked off with the "butler" that she was going to be kidnapped so that didn't even shock me. Suspicious butler with a weird scar on his face and a phone call no one expected... it's not exactly a tough one to figure out. Besides, I would have been far more effected by it if she had not already been in trouble twice. By this point, it was just getting annoying. Also, I honestly never believed they would kill her even if I screwed up, so I didn't really feel like there was any real threat involved.

The ending was a bit preachy, but PW/AJ games can often get preachy so that didn't bug me much. Another problem I had was that Engarde felt completely flat to me. So he's a sociopath... is that it? The last point that really annoyed me was how Franziska seemed to get overshadowed in the game. It was her game as the prosecutor and she ends up getting shoved aside for Edgeworth (Whom I love so my complaint is not against seeing him. It was how they brought him back into the game). Morgan was an awesome villain, but taking her down lacked the punch I would have liked and we didn't even get the satisfaction of breaking her in the third game as I expected we would, so I was disappointed by that aspect in both game two and three. So the second game was okay, it just wasn't on the same level as the other three.

Ha, I loved all the cases. I personally thought each case was better than the previous in this one. Also, 2-4 is my second favorite case because it's so epic and interesting. The only case I like better was 1-5. Personally, I think that JFA was better than the first game as a whole. Also, I loved the characters in 2-3. They're just so... weird. Lotta and Oldbag and the REALLY annoying characters, and they weren't even in that case.

Well, I've only played JFA, so I don't know. But I've seen the youtube walkthrough in the first game, and I thought that it was more exciting than JFA. But how can I know? I didn't play it and I don't plan playing it either.

2-1: Normal, but with neck problems and Wellington.

JFA's advantages over the other games:
Best overall music (AA had the best Cornered and Trial was badly performed and had a repetitive tune, but the best style -- the character themes were all good, though there weren't enough for each person like in GS3)
Clever mysteries (this applies to all the games, but at least I never got bored due to figuring everything out)
Best new characters (I actually liked Moe and almost all the other new people)
Most entertaining prosecuter ( :franny:

has horrible characterization, but her whip and generall awesomeness beats :godot:

's analogies)
And, most importantly:
GS2 was the funniest, by a margin due to better characters and jokes than GS1 and less repetition than GS3.

Also:
I played GS2 before GS1, and I have to compliment the devs for not making me hate myself (the plot was distant enough from that of GS1 to not spoil everything).

Why JFA still is the "worst" (barely):
Too little music (quality vs. quantity vs. ineviably irritating tunes)
No (functional) outer story (while only GS3 had a formal connection between the cases, GS1 seemed to focus on Edgeworth and the Feys making cases 2, 4, and 5 seem connected. Still, 2-2 was important to the series)
No drama, only melodrama (I can't really argue a point this subjective, but I found this to be the case)

Spoiler: Why the endings suck

Too short! 2-4 was the longest case, but even still it needed a bonus case to compete with GS1 or the (originally long) GS3. Or they could have made a short, skippable tutorial and turned 2-1 into a full-sized "filler" case

If you can tell, the lists are about even, so, as I said, it is only slightly below GS3 which is slightly below GS1 by my standards. Easily an 8 or 8.25/8.3 by my standards.

JFA was my least favorite game for a couple of reason, but it also had it's perks.

Pros:

returns. I was so happy when that happened.

2-4 was so epic
2-2 helped development of 3-5. (A la, Morgan Fey)

Cons:
2-3 was a chore, and I was glad it was over.
The game was too easy. (Pointing out contradictions, breaking psyche locks, etc.
It didn't have the 'touch' that the first game had

Anyways, I really feel that 2-1 was badly executed. :wellington:

was a great character, but there needed to be more complexity and an ivestigation phase. The amnesia idea stunk. If there was an investigation first, you could be urged to read Phoenix's law book or something. And why did it have to take place after 2-2? That was weird. In the DS remake they should have accepted that Phoenix could work without Maya if he had an identical replacement. :scientific:

As for ending cases, I would rate 2-4 the second best. It was the longest and most suspensful, but crashed and burned when it came to emotional storytelling. In 1-4 I really felt like it was possible to connect to and understand the sadness within :edgeworth:

Er, anyway...

I liked Justice For All, personally. The first case was pretty good, the second was okay, I actually like the third (I know the case is rather surreal, but Acro's breakdown made it all worth it) and the fourth is brilliant. It just hated Franziska's attitude. I mean, even Godot's not as abusive towards Nick as she is.

I never understood why 3-4 and 3-5 weren't put together... it'd make it all the more suspenseful.

They should have put something else as 3-4.

But anyway, it's not that 2-3 was just surreal, a lot of the time, I felt lost and didn't know what to do next.

2-1: bad

2-3: somewhat interesting but annoying and stupid

Maybe it was because I played this one first and had it for so long before getting the other three, but it's probably my favorite. (I find it very hard to pick a favorite AA game.) I enjoyed the music and and the stories, even when they got really crazy and you had to suspend your disbelief at some points. 2-4 is one of the most epic things ever. I love when you're in the courtroom toward the end, feeling like all is lost, and then Franziska bursts in with Great Revival playing and it's just a very triumphant moment.

JFA is my 2nd favourite in the series (the first is T&T), mainly for 2-2 and 2-4.
2-4 is still the best case after 3-5, and 2-2 is the 4th best case in the series.

2-1 was unnecessary and stupid at some points, and 2-3 wasn't the best (but I didn't hate it), but the other 2 were epic.

People mostly hate this game because of Turnabout Big Top, because it was kind of confusing. (It didn't help that some of :moe-laugh:

's jokes just made you groan in pain)

2-4 was epic, but Maya in trouble AGAIN, almost ruined it.
2-2 was interesting, but had so many loopholes I had to play it through another time to understand it completely
2-1 was like every other starting case, except Phoenix got knocked on the head.

Moe's jokes weren't meant to be funny, so I really didn't care. I liked him better than the annoying characters of 1-3 and 3-3 (WHY DO THE -3 CASES HAVE IRRITATING WITNESSES EVERYWHERE?!?). It was the ending that annoyed me about it the most. It was also really predictable as of when you found the note and stuff at the begining of investigation 2. But it was still better than the other -3 cases, which are always the weak points of each game (WHY IS THAT?!?!?!?!?!?!?!)
2-1 was lame, but at least for a purpose (teach noobs the game).
2-2 was confusing, but cleared up everything but some odd evidence by the end (which is still not a good thing, but the case itself is sound enough to earn best filler award.)
Some of the suspence in 2-4 felt forced, but it worked overall. And what do you mean by "again"? 3-5 was the only other time Maya almost died. Except if you count when she's the defendant. I actually wanted them to kill her off after a while; she is FAR more irritating than Moe because she is ALWAYS present.

i like JFA i LOVE the cornered music, though i forget what it was xD i LOVE Max and loved the cases, i only hated moe on the witness cuz when he tried to make a joke u get a penalty, but i loved all of it ^^ oh and hated that u had to go in circles to go to places, but good game and music^^

I actually stopped playing for about 2 months in the middle of the 3rd case because I couldnt stand it anymore.
But I loved the 3rd one. I remember i played it through in 1 sitting till 4 in the morning.
