I used to really love DB and DBZ (they ruined DBZ:GT) but they stopped making it.

Did anyone else love it as much as I did and why?

Hell yes! Gant
I loved their exaggerated fights and insane stories.
I've always looked forward to their final showdowns each saga.

I enjoyed the manga more than the show.
If anyone intends to join Gamefly, please do so via this link. I would appreciate it greatly. It would help me to get a free Wii. :)

I loved that show... It was my last big obsession since Phoenix Wright... When they canceled it on Cartoon Network, I was heartbroken and strayed from random show to random show... Keiko Sad

I liked DB more than DBZ though. It was adorable! ^^ It takes talent to make a show about people beating the snot out of each other, breaking bones, utter aniliation and making it adorable to boot!

Oh man! I was such a big Dragonball fanboy! I had gotten into it about a year before everyone else had, so I had gotten to watch the Saiyan Saga about a few times before they finally got to releasing the new episodes. My favorite saga was probably everything from the Trunks to the Perfect Cell saga. After that, the fights kinda got repetitive to me. If Dragonball taught me a valuable lesson, it was this. Time speeds up or slows down, depending on how important your task at hand is. For example, five minutes will last two weeks if you're fighting the tyrant of the universe, but 3 years can last 3 seconds if you spend them all training. I really wish I could find some subbed episodes of the dragonball series so I could see the show the way it was meant to be seen, not that I had anything against the American version though.

As of 2005 I have stopped watching the show. However, I will always remember it no matter how many years pass by. I looked forward to every episode whenever I got a chance to watch it and I loved every bit of it: the suspense, the episode-length power ups, and the "KABLOOEY I JUZ BLEW U UP FOO LMAO!!!111" fight scenes.

I just wish they added more depth to the minor characters. Goku got WAYYYYY too much attention and no one cared about him anyway save for the countless Japanese fanboys. They could have done so much more for poor Piccolo and Tien; especially Tien.

Eh, I didn't care much for DBZ when it first aired on American television. It was fine at first, but the second the whole first-SSJ-transformation moment was over, the series took a nosedive that it never quite recovered from after that point.

I prefer the original Dragonball series, where small comedic moments helped considerably in keeping some interest in the otherwise rather boring fights, while in DBZ you were forced to sit though twenty minutes of unrelated dialogue and three minutes of charging up, taunting or some small sections of fighting that were few and far between at times.

It did have some awesome moments post-Frieza. Namely, Gohan's flipping out on Cell... which will, for me, always be one of the most awesome moments in any anime EVER.

I hear ya! To me, that was the highlight of Dragonball Z for me. (Of course because Gohan was one of my favorite characters, even if he was whiney in the beginning) After that, I didn't really care for the show afterwards. In my opinion, I thought the Cell Saga was a good place to end the show. The whole Majin Buu and the fusion stuff just really confused me and I didn't really watch it as it made me lose interest.

For a while, I watched the fansub of the Android Saga to the Buu saga on video tape. That was a really long time ago. I liked Juunanagou (#17) enough that I cosplayed crossplayed as him. I still have a black t-shirt I made that has the Red Ribbon logo on it too.

I'm a fan of the series but I like Dragon Ball manga the most. I got them every book of it, after all. It's not something I've ever had a huge fandom of though. I have Dragon Ball Z: BT2 for PS2 though. It's a lot of fun.

I loved DBZ and still do. However, DBZ was shown here first, and then DBGT. I HATE GT!(Mostly because I hate Pan), and for that reason I never watched DB. I did however recieve two translated DB manga books, and I love them! So, I'm gonna buy all of them. When I have the money.(I'm currently spending all of my spare cash on a fortnightly magazine)

I admit...I was...and still am...a rabid DBZ fan...
Why?
...For one, Juunanagou [#17] -- Just because he's perhaps the most eye-pleasing male character on the series...except maybe Future Trunks...
...For two, some of the movies and specials...especially the Bardock special. Let's just say I liked that whole "stand up for what you believe to be right even if everyone else is laughing at you until they realize they're screwed" thing...
...For numero three...Okay...I'm a bit of a Raditz fangirl. Probably one of the few for that matter.
...And last but not least...the over-dramatized battles! ...Okay..so I like the thought of blowing stuff up...That's the big one... n________n;;; +cough+

I do hate how Troiyama replaced every non-Saiyan character from Dragonball (aka, everyone but Son Goku) with new, stronger, overall better characters.

It was unfair in my eyes. Yamcha was great, and he became a two-bit loser.

Tenshinhan was awesome. He was, in technique if not power, one of the best Z fighters even continuing into Z. Kihoko/Tribeam, Solar Flare...? All really, REALLY good moves.

Hell, he went head-to-head with CELL.

He went head-to-head with SUPER MAJIN BUU! That is the single reason why he didn't lose all forms of awesomeness going into the Buu saga. Then he gets absorbed and he's never heard from again. Sadshoe

ahem,
i hope people love cell as much as I did,
he was so cool, with the absorbing of the androids
and also when he seriously pisses of Gohan with the destruction of #16
though in my view, the best ep. was in DBZ where Goku and Piccolo go for their driving tests (cos chichi forces them to), and Goku gets the old grumpy bloke, whilst Piccolo gets the nice woman. The old man was sooo funny.

actually, i've changed my opinion, i like spopovich and yammu better, because they shove the kettle up gohans ass in the world tournament.

Triple post? Oh my...

I enjoyed DBZ, and I've got most of the Dragon Ball Manga Volumes (1-12!). My favourite character is either Piccolo or King Kai. (Piccolo's awsomeness VS Kai's Corny Puns, it's a hard choice ^_^) But Tien is cool too.
