Please, not Edgeworth's girlfriend. It makes no sense with the other games. Edgeworth is definitely either to be paired with Phoenix or asexual.
I hope she would somehow show up as a sidekick, I'd love to see Nick and Maya's expression on their faces when they first meet the girl in court with Edgey...XDDD
I don't think she will be a radom case-only character though, main characters always have priority, and it's very unusual to draw a poster of main characters and a random one for publicize.

She might be a defense attorney. Not likely with that outfit. More likely she's a mysterious person you keep running into during investigations, who sometimes aids you. Also, she could end up being the victim in the last case. What better way to unravel her mystery than to investigate her murder?

I see her being some mystery girl that will pop in and out at random times with random info to help Edgey out, and you won't find out much about her till the end, because somehow she's all caught up in the final case, then you get to hear her whole story.
Her appearance, to me, screams of Trucy/Ema/Maya all rolled into one (appearance wise) I wonder if thats significant of anything.

Good point.
Actually before I drew the fan art, I did some draft first to catch her sprite, and I found her doesn't look like Maya at all, from the angel of facial construction.
(here is one of my sketches=_=)

Wow. She does look a lot like Phoenix. I think this is probably coincidence however, characters drawn in similar styles...
[The demonstration pic makes her look like Phoenix and Maya's daughter. LOL. Obviously impossible due to timelines and the fact they simply wouldn't do something like that.]
She also vaguely resembles Prototype Green Hair Guy somehow.... it's the drawing style of these artist/s I guess.

I really think (and hope) that this is an entirely new character. She's too young to be Maya, too old to be Franziska's niece, and the only other character whose age matches up on the timeline is Regina (assuming GK takes place right after T&T). Besides, as a spin off the game needs some new blood!
Remember, this series has no problem reusing images/dynamics. Ema and Lana were made specifically to look like Maya and Mia, and Apollo/Trucy mimic Phoenix/Maya in a lot of ways. So just because this new girl looks similar as well doesn't necessarily mean anything.

yes, I know that it's not Maya, but the first time I saw that picture of her I'm all, "Wow, Maya changed alot-- wait a minute *checks again* whoops, nevermind...*walks away*."I would personally agree to the whole Fey branch family/rival clan theory. I remember Pearl saying something when you meet her in 2-2 about what training school you go to. She says something like, "for example, I go to the Kurain channeling school..." (yes I know I butchered that quote) which does imply that there are other spirit medium villages in the world.
I'd say Key Girl (<--- I vote for this becoming her official nickname *cough*) is from a rival school, then.
