Hinaru grinned"who hasn't!? there are very few prosecutors that can pass his ability in court!"he said with a grin, he then walked in the Police Department, he then stood there, and turned around to face them"come on guys! I'll show you the Eviden-"just then, someone bumped in to him, and Hinaru fell to the ground, Hinaru then looked up at the man who bumped him, and it looked like Hinaru was scared stiff!"Watch where your going kid...or you might end up bumping in to somebody who might just want to kill you..."the man smirked, and he continued to walk out, but his gaze caught Phoenix, and he smirked"hey...your the Defense Attorney...the one i'm gonna crush under my foot tomorrow"he said with a slight smirk, then Hinaru stood up, and tried to be brave and speak"K-K-Kotama! y-you leave them alone! th-there just try-"Kotama turned towards Hinaru and spoke in a harsh and dark tone"doing what? there jobs? that won't matter...give them all the evidence they want...I'll just make it there weakness.."with that, he turned around, and pushed Phoenix out of his way, as he walked away in to the distance, Hinaru walked up to Phoenix, still pretty nervous"that guy...was Kotama...the darkness that surrounds him just give me the chills...but...thats the guy your going against...and he's not going to be easy..."he sighed"...I've looked over his Court Records...it seems his greatest strength in court is turning the evidence against the person presenting it...and in court, that can help a lot..."you could tell he was still creeped out, his presence was like Viola's but much darker, that would be the best way to describe it"well...we should be heading to the Evidence Room now...after all, he and Kikoshina both gave us permission, so the guards will have to let us in"he said with a grin, regaining from what he just went through

Phoenix thought about his encounter with Kotama. Turning evidence against you... I should be careful. He headed inside and found the new detective talking with the cheif. "Maya," Phoenix said, "Could you take Pearl to lunch? You two look hungry, and I've got a lot of work to do." He handed her some money.

Pearl smiled"Thanks Mr. Nick!" as she walked away with Maya, she spoke with a happy tone"So, Mystic Maya, what are you going to get?..."she was happy and content, but before Maya could respond, Pearl looked like she remembered something"Oh yes! did you hear? they finally opened that new burger joint, near you and Mr. Nicks office! remember? you kept telling me how great it was going to be....so why don't we go there?" Pearl was still happy, and had a big grin, she was happy to be with her cousin.
Sonde was conversing with Kikoshina(Detective and Chief) trading off secrets, and you could barely just hear the mumbling"Its....finger....over....evidence...entirely...get...of...Kikoshina..."Kikoshina was nodding by the look of it, but before she spoke, she noticed Hinaru and Phoenix, and Hinaru was nervous"uh oh...we might get it!" he was ready for the beating of his life, but Kikoshina walked over and grinned at the two"Ah! so glad to see you two! come on! I told you you could see the evidence did i not? so come on!"Sonde chuckled slightly at that"yeah, before she changes her mind..."Kikoshina passed an evil glance over to him, and she looked over at Phoenix"don't mind him, he's just upset Detective Gumshoe's AKA his idol, is being accused..."Hinaru nodded"i would to if Mr. Phoenix here was framed...er...again?"Kikoshina and Sonde nodded, then they reached the evidence room door, Kikoshina grinned" alright, Sonde here is going to show you every piece of evidence in that room, I'll stay out here and keep watch for any suspicious activity OK?" Hinaru and Sonde nodded"Gotcha!"they grinned, and they unlocked the door, Sonde walked in, and Hinaru was about to"Come on Mr. Phoenix! this opportunity doesn't show itself all the time!"he said with a grin

"You don't have to call me Phoenix. I prefer Nick, if that's alright," he said to Hinaru. As he entered the evidence room, Phoenix noticed that the room hadn't changed one bit since the case with Ema and Lana Skye. "So, Sonde," he started, "What kind of evidence do we have here?" He hated to say it, but Phoenix had never had this much access. He realized that that was because of the prosecutors' influence over the case, and they never gave him any access to the evidence that he didn't find himself. Then he remembered that the prosecutor for this case was an expert at using your evidence against you. Maybe it's a setup, thought Phoenix.
"Hey, yeah, I totally forgot Pearly!" Maya's mood was immediately lifted. "Hey, you should try the bacon cheeseburger deluxe!"

Hinaru nodded to Phoenix's response"Um...alright, if thats what you prefer Mr.Pho-...er...Nick!"Hinaru wasn't used to saying 'Nick' after all, it wasn't his name, you could also tell he was struggling slightly with trying to remember it, but, if thats what he wanted, thats what he would get"So, I'm with Mr...um...Nick on this, what evidence is in here?" Sonde grinned, and nodded in response"Why, just about all of it...well, mostly the weapons, and some clues around the premises..."there was a slight pause, before Sonde smirked"And I'm guessing you wondering why you get so much access correct? well, its simple, since the prosecutor can use evidence against you, why not give you all the evidence we've got? after all, it'll help both of you right?" Sonde said with slight displeasure. But Hinaru grinned"But you always come out at the end! its always the same, you start losing...then you just end up winning!"although, were not sure if that was a complement or not...we'll just set it up as a complement. Sonde then started showing them the evidence"Alright, so, this is the knife that was used."he picked it up in the bag, and showed it to them"its about six inches long, and three inches wide...I'd bet my paycheck this guy had a huge grudge on this guy to use a knife as brutal as that."Sonde said with a slight chuckle. then he moved on to the next bit of evidence"Here we have the handkerchief, its blue and looks...'nice' were not sure why he used this, but as long as its here, it counts as valuable evidence, right?"he said with a grin, then Hinaru nodded"I would have to agree with that statement..."Sonde then continued"and over here, we have the very gun that was used, its a fairly simple weapon, a Pistol, a very common one, used by many. Although we haven't got the owner of the gun yet, it seems the person who used this gun stole it from one of the Security guards on the ship and used it."Hinaru was writing everything down as he always does, so just in case they had forgotten something, they can look back on notes. There were only two bags left, so it was almost done"and heres a bottle found in the dining room of the ship."he handed the two the bottle, and they examined it closely, and it read:'Atroquinine' "Whoa! This is some deadly stuff!"Sonde nodded"and very rare, so whoever the murderer is, had some type connections" The Sonde went to the last bag"and heres a bag of his belongings, like a wallet, lighter, and so on. Also, theres more evidence on its way, so I'd recommend coming back later, but only if you want" Hinaru nodded to that, and he knew Phoenix was going to, so he knew it was settled...hopefully"Also you two, my good friend Kai is waiting for you, so if you want to meet him, he's outside with Kikoshina, He's the Doctor who performed on the victim and prepared his autopsy, so if you don't mind, he wants to talk to you in a bit."
Pearl nodded with a smile"that sounds delicious! I think I'll try that!" she said with a grin, now entering the Burger Joint, seating herself with Maya

XD)) and for a little bit of random info, I'm the founder of this fine restaurant, its still new, but I'm pretty sure it'll be up in no time!"he then turned around once again"I'll be sure to get them to hurry up on this order, K? less wait time for you fine lady's" he said with a grin, now walking in the kitchen to give the orders

Kai laughed at his comment"You of all people should know that Phoenix"he said with a chuckle"Well, I'm glad your here, after coming from the Cruise Ship, i went back to the Victims body to rerun a test, i knew something wasn't right, so i printed out another copy of the autopsy report, and it turns out, he was shot twice, and had two kinds of poisons running through him!"Of course being a professional, he felt bad and ashamed from the last autopsy, now having to give Phoenix a hundred dollars...which he handed to him reluctantly"Whenever i get an Autopsy report wrong, i give the person holding it one hundred dollars...its one of my personal rules, and an apology..."
Pearl nodded"Yeah...he did seem like a nice guy"she said with a grin. And as they sat down, she responded with a smile"Everyones fine! they all miss you of course."Pearl said with a slight giggle"but things seem to be running smoothly, and I fix everything while your gone."she said with a grin. When she meant 'fix' she meant by if anything goes wrong, or if anyone needed anything etc, she would 'fix' it, and keep the village in tip top shape

Whoa, a hundred bucks! "Wow, thanks!" said Phoenix as he pocketed the cash. "Hey, don't worry about it. I've- wait, what!? TWO kinds of poison, and TWO gunshot wounds?" This guy must've had horrible luck. "What was the other kind of poison? And were the bullets from the same gun?" What was going on here!?
"Hey, that's a relief. I think I'll come by this weekend." Maya heard the order number called. She checked the receipt. "That's us! I'll be right back." Maya got up to get their order.

Kai grinned"Well amazingly enough, his history shows high immune system, so he was able to survive longer then the normal human, all it seemed to do was knock him in to a coma like state, and possibly the man who shot him knew that, or was trying to trick the doctors, but he continued to do those terrible things..."he sighed"and as for the other poison, it was Potassium Cyanide! its amazing how this man could live through so much..."he sighed once again"Oh! as for the bullet...the one we THOUGHT was the only one was shot in the heart...but in reality, the second bullet, was shot first! it entered his body only seconds after the first one...milliseconds if you ask me though..."you could tell he was thinking hard"...it entered through his back, in to his heart as well, the two bullets hit each other and the tips of each one shattered...so it was hard to see where the second one came from...but all we know is, no, it did not come from the same gun..."Kai said with a sigh, then Hinaru spoke in a shocked tone"Mr...Mr Phoenix..."he was to shocked to call him Nick there"...does....does this mean there was another person in the room!?"

I'm sure everyone will be happy to see you like always!"she said with a grin, then she also noticed the food was done, and let Maya grab it as she sat at the table, but before Maya could grab the food, Zak came out and grabbed the food"No need to get it yourself, I'll do it, go get in your seat Madame"he said with a grin, as he grabbed the food, and he walked off with it, grabbing a few things, sticking it on the mat, like Ketchup and so on, he set it down on there table, and guided Maya back to her seat"If there is anything else that you need, I'll be glad to assist you in any way Miss" he said with a grin, now leaving them once again. Pearl grinned, seeing the man be so kind was pleasing to her, and when she saw how big the burger was, she almost jumped out of her seat, it was surprising, seeing a burger the size...of like two or even three burgers put together...and it was a double burger to!"Well..um...I guess its safe to assume...that we'll need bags for these to take home"she said with a giggle, still kind of shocked at the size

"Well, it definitely means there was more than one gun, and given the circumstances, it's almost impossible that there was only one person there, unless there were gunpowder burns... which I don't see on the report." Suddenly, Phoenix realized something. "Which means we have TWO murderers on our hands!"
Maya smiled at Pearl's shocked response. "Well, then Nick can have the leftovers for dinner!" She took a bite into her burger. Sloppy and greasy, just the way hamburgers were meant to be.

Pearl grinned, then took a bite, and much to her dismay, a lot of the grease, and much of the burger fell out from the back...but she just laughed"Heehee, I guess i should have seen this coming..."she giggled, and kept on trying to eat...failing to do that, she grabbed a fork and knife to eat it...failing at that, she got the unbeatable utensil...the spoon!...but failed at that too, did this burger have some type of mind of its own!? luckily, even though she was failing, she was able to eat about half of the burger at some point of time, thought it took much time and energy, she succeeded...er...sort of...

Maya couldn't help but laugh at Pearl's attempt to eat her hamburger. You had to give her credit, though... It was too big to fit in her mouth in the first place! "Aw, Pearly, don't feel bad. It takes practice to eat a hamburger! How about I treat you to a milkshake? You ever had a milkshake?"
Edgeworth was in his office, poring over the evidence in his case. Everything pointed at one person, but there was still room for doubt... In the witness testimony. As he pondered the thought, someone knocked at his door. "Come in," said Edgeworth. The bellboy poked his head in. "Mr. Edgeworth? There's a man here to see you. He says his name is... Shubin? I think that's right..." ((OH NOES! TWO PROSECUTORS TALKING TO EACH OTHER!!! XD Sorry, I might edit that...))

Pearl started to think about it, then she nodded her head"Uh huh, once or twice with Mr. Nick! It was delicious!"She said smiling, her eyes now shining"I would love a milkshake! Then Zak came back over with his notepad and such"Well, it seems like you two had some kind of...er...apatite."he said with a slight laugh"Is there anything else i can get for you? or are you young lady's done for now?"
Kotama walked in to Edgeworth's office, he thanked the Bellboy, then walked further in, and stood near the chair on the opposite side of Edgeworth's desk, he then grinned and spoke to the fellow prosecutor"It's been awhile Edgeworth...I haven't seen you in court in awhile..."he smirked slightly"...Something on your mind?"His arms now leaning on the chair,"Is it about your friend going to court tomorrow? that detective?"He waiting for Edgeworth's response now. And unlike his cool, 'evil' like demeanor, he was calm and collected, and acted slightly different, more like himself, the self he doesn't show in public

Well, that's not much to work with, thought Phoenix, but we got some information that could make or break our case! "Thank you, Doctor," said Phoenix, shaking his hand. As they left, he turned to Hinaru. "Well, I think that's all the info we can get for today. Let's just worry about getting some rest for tomorrow.
Maya smiled and said, "Yeah, we'll have two chocolate milkshakes to go!" She was glad to see Pearl so happy. As the waiter left, she asked, "That guy reminds me of someone, but I can't think of who..." She left the money from the bill, and added a tip. "It's late. We should go home soon."
"Gumshoe is hardly what I'd call a friend," said Edgeworth. "More like a dog that keeps breaking his leash. I'm just trying to keep him out of trouble. That being said..." Edgeworth tidied the papers on his desk. "I'd like to discuss the case at hand." He wanted to know what Kotoma had found out so far, and wondered just how well he'd do in court tomorrow. After all, he was a genious... but how would he fare against Phoenix Wright?

Kai grinned, then shook Phoenix's hand"I'll try not to give you such a hard time in Court Phoenix."He laughed slightly, then departed, looking into some notes and other things. Hinaru looked at Phoenix when he was talking, and Hinaru nodded"Yeah, it seems that way..."he then grinned"You know...we got a lot of evidence for our first day! you think we'll do any good in court?"Hinaru said with a gleeful tone, he was happy, and ready to see what Phoenix Wright could do in court!
Pearl nodded"Now that you mention it Mystic Maya...he does look really familiar..."she started rubbing her head, trying to remember"Hmmm...Maybe...Maybe Mr. Nick would know him if he saw him?"She said in a calm tone, just then, Zak came back with the two milkshakes, and set them down"You two enjoy, OK?"he said grinning, and just as he turned to walk away, Pearl spoke up"Zak!" Zak came back with a grin and spoke"And what can i help you with?"Then Pearl threw out what she wanted to say..."Um...not to be rude, but you look like someone we've seen before, have we met?"Zak backed up a little, then had a nervous grin"U-um..n-no we've never met, i can assure you of that...maybe...maybe your mistaken for someone else?"you could tell he wasn't comfortable now"Your name also sounds...familiar...Engarde..."Zak shook his head"N-no...theres no one else with that name, just me!U-um...h-how about you girls can have this meal for free? Kotama chuckled a bit"Now i feel bad for the guy...he thinks your his best friend...and Vice Versa..."he sighed slightly though"...As for the case..."he shifted his position, and sat in the chair"...There should hardly be a problem, all of his fingerprints are on the evidence, and he was seen there by three witnesses..."he grinned slightly"...But then again, he IS Phoenix Wright, he'll find a way through all that...some how..."he smirked slightly"Which is why I'll have to use every trick in the book..."of course referring to tricks, he meant clean and fair, nothing dirty at all, because Kotama may seem like a bad guy, but he plays fair and by the rules"As for evidence, we have...

And one or two other things that I'll show in court tomorrow..."he grinned slightly"But this is just what i have at hand...but it doesn't matter, if Phoenix Wright seems to have something I don't, then I'll just put it to my advantage..."he said with a slight smirk, but then he sighed, he had just shown Edgeworth almost all the Evidence he had at the moment, and almost all of it points to Gumshoe"You will be coming tomorrow, won't you? or are you going to be to busy?"

"I'm not sure," said Maya. "Look, it's late. How about this: We bring Nick here for dinner after the trial tomorrow! He'll probably remember the guy!" Maya decided to leave the money on the table; together she and Pearl left the restaurant.
Edgeworth felt a pang of regret for his remark about Gumshoe; however, he didn't show it. "I heard you will also have some decisive witnesses." He looked over the autopsy report and the gun. "That's strange," he muttered to himself. "Why was the gun fired twice...?" He shook his head, deciding that it must be pointless information. Than again, he wondered... "Of course I'll show up tomorrow. I'd like to see if Wright can even come close to winning this one." Truthfully, he hadn't seen Wright in court for a while; he wondered if he had improved?
((Remember, this is NOT the updated-two-minutes-ago autopsy report!))

Hinaru grinned"Because the truth always sets the right person free!"he said with a smile, then he nodded to what Phoenix's statement was there"I agree!..."he then laughed at it"...you know, if you think about it, it kind of sounds like a proverb or something like that"he said chuckling slightly, then he grinned and spoke" So who told you that one Phoenix? OH! let me guess, it was...Gu-...never mind...um...hmmm...Ma-...um...OK, i give up, who was it?"he sighed, he was only thinking IN the box, not OUTSIDE of it, which, of course is how Phoenix thinks((Just like his strategy says, and I quote "Speak First, Think Later!" XD lol ))
Pearl nodded and grinned"That sounds good...Mr. Nick should know, after all, he does have a good memory." she said with a grin, then when they stood up and was about to leave, Pearl looked a bit uneasy, but she shook her head, and continued on with Maya. After about fifteen minutes, Pearl started to look like had a major fever, but she was a good actor, trying not to show it, but she was sweating from it, and she looked really tired, and she was trying her best not to show it, and hopefully, it was working...
Zak saw they were leaving, and he went to clean up there table, he picked up the tip, then the money, the table was now sparkling, he wanted to be sure his restaurant was clean, and that people wanted to go, and as he saw, to happy customers just left, so it left him a good feeling, but he also felt bad about lying, but it was to late for truth now, so after he was finished, he pocketed the tip, and put the money in a register, then went back in to the kitchen, within those fifteen minutes of Pearl not feeling good, an argument broke out, and he fired somebody, making the worker leave immediately, now short one worker, he started to have to work harder, same with the other people.
Kotama nodded"Indeed...I have four witnesses...but for the most part, two is the likely number of witnesses that are going to the stand tomorrow...We'll just have to see..."he then paused, and raised a brow to what Edgeworth said about the Autopsy Report"I was also curious about that to...It seems there were two bullets...but we haven't confirmed if there both from the same gun yet..."he sighed, then grinned at him coming, Sure Godot was his inspiration to become a Prosecutor, but since he's gone, Edgeworth was the one motivating him to stay, but nobody knew that, and thats how he liked it"Great! I'll be sure to test not only my own ability's, but his as well!"he was confident in winning, anyone could see that this was going to be a one sided trial, but then again...Edgeworth knows Phoenix all to well...he'll turn the tide somehow, but we'll just have to see"As you well know, court starts tomorrow..."he yawned, covering his mouth"...What time is it?"you could tell he was tired and lost track of time, but then again, it was a busy day, and his opponent is going to be his toughest yet!

"Pearly?" Maya noticed Pearl didn't look so well. Her cousin hated worrying others, and so she would rarely admit it when she wasn't feeling well. But Maya knew better. "Are you okay?" She felt Pearl's face; she definitely had a fever. "Just relax," she said, "you'll feel better soon." Really, inside she was screaming, "OH MY GOD ARE YOU GOING TO DIE!?" but she knew that would just make Pearl feel worse.
Edgeworth glanced at the clock. "Late. Go home and get some rest." Edgeworth knew that Kotama had found all the evidence he was likely to get that day. "I'm sure Wright will have found anything you may have missed." Tomorrow's trial should be... interesting, to say the least... he thought.
((The trial? I dunno... we could probably keep it in the RP section.))
