This is kinda an issue I had with the final case.

Massive Spoiler:
Spoiler:
In the final case it is identified that Godot was stabbed by Dahlia. Since he was there for a day he couldn't change clothes. So he had to be stabbed in the mask. But then why is his mask not broken, especially if it drew blood. How could the wound be behind the mask? He wouldn't take it off as it is the only way he can see.

Please help me out with that one.

Spoiler: "Possible Explanation"
Most likely, when Dahlia attacked him, she didn't stab him but instead cut at him, pushing the mask off - "The mask went flying off your face!" (Phoenix) - and then cutting him underneath. Then, when she fell unconscious, he felt around where he thought the mask fell.

Does that help?

Yeah, that's kind of how I took it. Phoenix's comment certainly helped as well. :godot:

if the mask went off his face he couldn't see.
Spoiler:
How could he have killed Dahlia's body and find his mask again while blind?

You don't have to be a legendary blind samurai to stab a person in front of you to death without your vision. People can make good guesses, still hear the other person, and feel the vibrations off their body if they try hard enough. Being nearly blind myself, I know how the other senses can come out strongly when they're your only choice. I'm sure Godot would be the same.

And if you want to get even more technical about it, the mountain was really cold. It's much harder to move fast in cold weather. So Godot could have even just stabbed in the direction he last saw her and hit because she was too cold to dodge quickly enough.

Godot stabbed Dahlia, and she then turned around and in a fit of desperation she stabbed her attacker.

BTW, this page isnt tagged for spoilers. Peoples should start using tags, as this topics title could be read many different ways.

Spoiler:
While we're on the subject of the his mask...

He needs it because his central nervous system was damaged, not his eyes. Shouldn't the mask be connected to his brain or optic nerves?

Spoiler:
The Human eye contains the most nerves after the mind and the spine. The nerves in the human eye are connected directly to brain by the nervous system network. The eye nerves are still functional in most cases of blindness (it really depends what caues the blindness) and somehow the techology in the mask overrides the died/damamged nerves allowing vision like behavior in the brain. :keiko:

Didn't Maya say that 'the lights went off'? I think it was established that the mask came off his face

Spoiler:
My guess was that the poison messed with his CNS by damaging the light receptors in the optic nerve. You know, your eyes take in light, your brain interprets it, that stuff. I figured maybe the mask takes in light but transmits it in a different form through his eyes, a form of light his brain could still interpret. Of course, all red light is filtered out because either the red lights in the mask absorb it, or perhaps because, even in the future, not all technology is perfect and can fix everything. In other words, they couldn't make it interpret red no matter how hard they tried.

Basically what you said with my interpretation of it... >.>;

Again, I guess the same as earlier.

Spoiler:
But it's said that after Dahlia attacked her attacker - Godot- she fell unconscious. That most likely means that her channeler, Misty Fey, died from blood loss, and thus Dahlia couldn't inhabit her anymore. Like in Yu-Yu Hakusho (Don't kill me, it's relevent), a spirit can't just inhabit an already-dead body. So then after she died, Godot felt around for his mask, put it back on, and began to clean up the scene.

The way I understood it, it wasn't that he couldn't SEE the color red, but the red lights made EVERYTHING look red. So he only can't see red on white, because the white would turn red. (Like looking through the red half of a pair of 3D glasses.)

Spoiler: 3-2, 3-5
That makes a whole lot of sense considering Godot couldn't see the blood on the apron in 3-5 (though it was later proven to be ketchup seconds later lol) and the blood on the lantern in 3-5 by the actual crime scene. But the game actually states that some of the nerves in Godot's CNS were damaged/killed off by the poison and it didn't kill his eyes themselves. I liked to think of the mask as something to help 'replace' those damaged nerves. When you put everything together, I don't see anything left unanswered.. Except, would a dark crimson red appear to be just a dark splotch, if it didn't match that bright bright red shade?
