Nathaniel knew that Dofa most likely wasn't going to make the first strike for their team, so he decided to cast the unrolled Shielding Scroll on both him and Dofa, allowing their bodies skin to become hard, like tempered steel. Nathaniel then crawled out from his hiding place and whispered a Transform Augmentation towards his staff, changing the gnarled ironwood into a long pole of iron with a ball at the tip. " Back at home, this form of our staffs were used as Lightning rods. I'm sure I can find another use for it," Nathaniel said as he unwrapped another scroll which seemed to crackle with electricity, and wrapped around his new rod. " Condensed Lightning," he murmured before firing a shot of this energy at Aviv, aiming at his arms.

Kathie was too far away to help Aviv. "Look out!" she yelled before uppercutting Dante to send him flying. A searing pain erupted in her shoulder and she realized she had used the wrong arm.

Nero yelled. He had something to fight for. He grabbed Aviv and choked him, half wishing he didn't help him. "Listen, you coward! I need to fight! They kidnapped someone I... love. If I don't, she'll die. Fight like a man!" He yelled. Dante fell and groaned. He noticed Katie was injured. Perfect. He charged and jumped in front of her, then turned around and hit her with the hilt of his sword.

Kathie felt a strong, hard hit to her face. With a yelp of pain, she turned to attack Dante. But she was unsteady from the gunshot wound and fell to her knees. She was starting to feel dizzy. Crud, she thought, I lost too much blood!

Nero flared with anger. He flung out his arm and grabbed Aviv, then threw him to the wall, shooting as he flew. Then he ran over and punched him repeatedly, eyes red with rage. Dante laughed. He pulled Katie up threw her up in the air, then jumped up and kicked her back down again. "Come on, a little blood loss is nothin'!" He mocked, spitting out his own blood.

((It seems that Aviv is impervious to Lightning, considering that blast I sent was completely ignored.))

Nathaniel was confused, as his lightning blast seemed to have not hit anything. Frustrated, he scrambled to grab two more scrolls and wrapped them around his metal staff again, only now it had orange flames licking at it's sides. " How about this then... Fire Storm." Nathaniel murmured again, not wanting to waste energy uselessly shouting as he aimed the projectile flames slightly over the falling Aviv, and watched as it hurtled towards Nero.

Nero was expressionless as he let go of the dead man's hand. He pulled his sword out and stabbed Aviv's heart, then revving up the sword, causing an inferno that engulfed the corpse. The funeral of a warrior. Nero looked up to the sky. Kyrie... I'll save you. I promise. He turned to Nat. "Let's go."

Nathaniel, stunned by the fact that Nero pulled Aviv out of any possible danger from the misfire, then realized that he was being targeted. " Alright then," Nathaniel started, " But I won't relish this fight." Nathaniel then began to chant some odd feral language, which at the end he murmured " Senses of the Beasts". Nathaniel's eyes and hearing then became more acute, although his strength and agility remained the same. " Odd. I hear five heartbeats," he noted before his staff lost it's blue flames and he replaced the scroll with a Condensed Scroll of Energy.
