Just want to confirm that ace attorney 5 and perfect prosecutor are defiently coming to the ds and not for the the handheld successor of the ds. :larry:

Guess it is a stupid question but i've heard alot about them releasing a ds 2 soon and i hoped that these two games were defiently planned for a nintendo ds release. :edgeworth:

Just out of curiosity, where have you heard about this 'so-called' DS 2? The DS isn't really that old yet, so I doubt that this is true.

Anyway, I'd bet heavily on them being on the currrent version of the DS, simply because I don't think that Nintendo would be sending out development kits this early (assuming these rumours about the DS 2 are true).

I just remember coming across it along way back, sorry if a ass of myself :hotti:

if that's the case then awesome!!! 5 games and a spin off on the same handheld (as i sure as hell can't afford to buy a new one if it did come up)

yeah i guess i was worrying about nothing :grey: :maya: :phoenix: :edgeworth: :udgy:

There's no confirmation of GS5 being on any particular system, but the AA series has always existed on handhelds, and I don't imagine they're going to change that. The prosecutor game looks like it'll certainly be on the DS.

That doesn't really mean it would be a DS 2. It could be a new, smaller model of DS, just like DS Lite is a smaller version of the DS and GBA:SP is a smaller version of the GBA. I remember there were rumors about a smaller model some time ago.

Prosecutor game: Probably DS unless they change the system it's for part way through (so a new DS might have to come out relatively soon for them to do that). As of now it's a DS game.

GS5: Don't know, that might depend on how far along the game is and how soon a new DS comes out. We know very little about it.

The DS 2 rumor was started by the head president guy of some game company... I forget. Turned out to be false.

but with mobile phones only the first game has been put on there and you can still classify mobile phones as handhelds in this particular case

...

I can't really see them making any Ace Attorney games for anything but a handheld, and by handheld, I mean something in the Nintendo line. Yeah, it'd suck if it was on Playstation, but, c'mon, how likely is that? -_-;

Definitely don't want a PW game for Wii. I have a Wii, but I think it'd be downright stupid.

AA belongs on portable Nintendo handhelds. End of story.

Gamecube is dead.

DS is dead.
DS lite isn't dead.

DS Lite = DS upgrade.

Therefore, the DS isn't dead.

Quoted for great justice.

GS5 and GK are going to be on the Nintendo DS.

...It's kinda sad when you own all 3 things labeled "dead". And I don't think the DS is dead. New games still come out for it. Like AJ did recently. And I think it's pretty rare when a series changes platforms entirely. Except for Sonic Riders and Zero Gravity..... So, I figure, until the series ends, if the series ends, then it will probably stay on the DS. I don't think any other platform would be able to play it so well. Especially now that most people have adjusted to the touch screen and microphone functions.....

Still, my DS may be dieing, considering that it has to be charged again every four or five hours, cosmetic problems aside.

If we're talking about physical life span instead of marketing life span... I'm on my second DS. I had my first one for a year and a half (from August until January) when it finally stopped working. It was doomed from the start. After having it for only a few weeks, the hinges were broken. My friend broke them even worse, and it was downhill from there. So in February I got a new one, that's still in perfect condition.

IMO, the DS still has at least 2 years before a successor is confirmed, probably even more.
So IMO, it's far from dead.
