Android 21 3/7 wrote:
Copying and pasting from the original thread.

Well mine started as a DBZ fanfiction. I loved the android characters and wanted to create one. Android 21 was technically Cell and everyone was using Android 22, so I thought, "I want something as original as possible... for a fanfiction..." So I picked out a fraction that was random (because 1/2, 1/3, 3/4, etc were so predictable). The fanfiction died prematurely because the only reactions I got were "... Well that was weird", but I liked the name so much that I just took it for myself as a pseudonym and have been using it for years. The problem is that the "/" is rarely ever accepted as login names, so I was really surprised when Court Records accepted it! Edgy

Wow, That's a impressive back store to a username. It stinks you couldn't finish the fanfiction but at least it wasn't a total loss. I always found the name to be really unique and the fraction was a nice twist. Aiga

Copying-and-pasting, because I'm lazy and I can.

Orcaizer = Name of a badass Wolf Spirit, also the name of a Dolphin Lure

Al = My real life nickname, coming from "Alphonse"

YES, Alphonse is part of my real name. From the French Poet Alphonse Daudet, mind you. :/

I remember making a topic like this before. I'll just copy and paste what I made...

Mine is based on my name at my local LAN Cafe. I experimented with a few names, at first being called "People's Republic of China", which then became "Chinese Infantry". The name stuck, so here it is. Yeah, that's a bad story, I'm sure you can come up with better...

I often pick a name based on a theme, for example, a forum I go on had a Furuba theme, so I chose Kisa, the tiger of the Sohma family.

My gaia username is something I made up on the spot, although it turned out to be the name of a town. (Sulina)

'Ryuko' is the alias of my character in a comic series I'm working on, it is combining the characters 'Ryu' (Dragon) and 'ko' (Child)

I also use Sam-chan, combining my initials and the Japanese honourific.

I originally called myself 01asada, this is a username that I commonly use for the computers at work which... I commonly use.
Eventually, I've came to realise... "Holy shit, the username is terrible!".
So I tried to think up of a cool one and then I looked at the Nintendo Revolution (now known as Nintendo Wii). I've never been a fanboy ever since the late 90's but my anticipation for the console was high. "I'm gonna get the Revolution first!" was what I've said and formed the username RevFirst.
Later on, I've realised that the console was renamed to something silly and wasn't all that great (my own opinion... no next-gen console WOW'ed me yet). I then had doubts about my new username but some people at NewGrounds loved it. I was surprised and glad...
So now you can call me RevFirst!

I've been nicknamed:
Rev, Revvy, Revrine First, etc.

...Shamefully, if you thought "Urby" decended somewhere from "Kirby", you're not too far off the mark.

Gosh, my handle has a vrei long history...

Once upon a time waaay long ago in fourth grade I decided to draw a Kirby. BUT IT WAS TO BE MY KIRBY.
And so I slapped a bucket of purple hair on it. TADA, it was Urby. He didn't eat people but he did have cycleable powers by touching baubles.
In...seventh grade or aroundabouts I made a Pokemon roleplay, and I needed a god character/username, so in Urby went. This time Urby was a neutral gender but more feminine, and had wings.
I shut it down and for a while I bobbled about the internets. But I had gotten so used to seeing "Urby" as my name, I started carrying it around everywhere, changing "Urby's" appearance appropriately. Sometimes I'd be something different, but I'd go, "Ew, why ain't I Urby around here!?"

Now Urby isn't a Kirby clone. I've matured and distanced myself from that. In fact, if you brought it up with me, I'd say "No, Urby isn't based off of Kirby". I'd like to think Urby is a separate entity, and, sort of, a second name for me. (My real name is totally Vietnamese, aha. Kyouya Hair Pull No, I ain't a-tellin' you whut it izzer)

...And I like the fact you can't really shorten it. I have a thing against nicknames that cut off letters. The least you can do is call me "Urbs" or something. However, I'm not against being called "Urbster", for some oddball reason, considering I don't want much to do with Mr. Nintendo Pink Marshmellow. Knock Knock

COPY-PASTE CUZ I CAN. 8D

I either go by misscube, Fanfare, or Fanfare.EXE. Fanfare is the name of a trumpet enemy's attack in Megaman Battle Network/Rockman.EXE (one of my favorite games ever). I also play trumpet in my school band. Thus, I win the internet. 8) Sometimes I geek out further by slapping a ".EXE" on the end of it, which is yet another Megaman referance. A good chunk of characters in Battle Network have an ".EXE" at the end of their names cuz they're computer program thingies.

My username came from the anime Tenchi Muyo! My favorite character from the show was Washu. I happened to look at my CD collection and saw the Japanese spelling was Wasyu. I added lil to the front of it as she liked to be called "Little Washu". I use this username everywhere.

To make a long story short:

I discovered my first ever roleplaying forum. I wanted to have a unique username, so I hopped onto a fantasy name generator, and eventually got "Kwoiffei".

From there on it grew until I started to use it everywhere. And it's been that way ever since.

And no, my username has nothing to do with coffee.
Thank you for flying Phoenix Wright. We hope you have a nice day.

Well, my old one was aquakirbyyoshi and I've been through with that name alot. I made it up when Kirby and Yoshi were my favorite characters in Nintendo, also added with my favorite color blue.

My new one aurezai is pretty recent. I made it because I felt I needed a new one. XD I'm still attached to aquakirbyyoshi, though. It's pronounced Ah-ROOH-zai.

Well, I used to create this funny thread in almost every forums I'm active posting and now I decided to do this here, as well.

It deals with the username you are using on this community. Just explain what it means, where it comes from, how/when you decided for this username and and and...

----------------------------------

Well, I'd like to start.
Since my real first name is Henry and the registration on this forum happened while I was playing Phoenix Wright 1 or 2 intensely, I just thought I must join this great forum and put the word justice to my real name because I was impressed of the attorneys job and how it was presented in the series and as I naturally know the job isn't as the games show I still was impressed by this law things.
So it came that I used the name henryjustice on my Xfire registration, too.

I still like the name but at the moment I prefer calling myself "Windfisch", as I used in past, but that's another story...

When I had an English assignment involving poetry, I had to write an "I Am" poem. The first line is, "I am..." and a phrase describing yourself. I used, "I am a root beer junkie who can't play sports." The root beer junkie part just kinda stuck.

As for Ac#e, (my nickname) in Orchestra class, we were playing a chord, A-C#-E, which is an A major chord. When the director asked me, "What does this spell?" that's what he meant, but I thought it was a literal question. So I said, "Ace." The class made fun of that for a while. I spell it with a sharp because if I didn't, it would be a minor chord, so...

That's my story and I'm sticking to it! :edgy:

Here's a little snippet from my very first post from way back in the day on the old CR Forums:

What in the World is a ButzPuff some of you must be wondering? Among my group of friends who love playing Phoenix Wright, I told I'm most like Larry Butz and it just stuck with me. The Puff comes from my name that I use all over the internet, BaaPuff. However, everyone calls me "Puff" for short.

And that how I came into being as I am today... Now, get off my lawn! :yogi:

I guess the first applies to this a bit, but it's too general. The second is just about liking and not about explaining usernames. So be kind and allow this thread, I really searched for "username, nickname, user name and nick name" carefully, honest.

It all started when I was 12 I think.
I was about to create an account for RuneScape, I didn't really have a nickname at the time and I tried different names and this one was available.

It comes from my real name, Amanda.

...And that's about it.

A friend of mine gave me a new nickname recently, LittlePirateNeko or just Neko. But I don't think I should be explaining this here. ^^

Right then. In short, the name Mancrab came from a chat session where someone decided to share their horror and link to Delphine LaLaurie's Wiki article. He had mentioned, as the article did, a "human crab." Now, Sloth is the vice I most closely associate myself with, so it's only natural that it was shortened. And thus, Mancrab was born.

Oh, if you're really interested in the slightly more detailed details, go wiki Delphine. But be warned that it may be distressing. What with the fact that the name was indirectly inspired by horrors and torture and all that.

Ami ("Ah-mee," not like "Amy") is a semi-common given name that has the kanji for "beauty" in it. I lifted it from Mizuno Ami, Sailor Mercury. I've always been a huge fan of BSSM since I was little.

Tajiri (Tah-jee-ree) is a fairly common Japanese surname that I like the sound of. It means "end of a field." I first used it as a last name for the main character of my original story "Phonaia," but then adopted it as my own.

Tajiri Ami is rendered Eastern-style, surname first. Please feel free to call me Ami.

Whenever I played a game and had to enter a name, I would try to think of a completely original name by myself. So I just thought of Marescio. When I thought about it later I noticed that 'mare = sea' and 'scio = I know' in Latin... But that's just a coincidence. And ever since then I've liked the name so much, I use it in all games or forums. When the name is too long to enter for a game I shorten it to Maress, so feel free to call me that :will:
My second name of choice is Terren, also original, I've used it in the MMO Guild Wars and for the name of my rival in Pokemon :gant:

I like the judges, they're so misunderstood, and I like the Super Mario Bros. series. So yeah. :P Besides, most people like random names. I had a signature of the two judges dressed as Mario and Luigi, and it was a big hit.

Mine is a from a one-time character from The Simpsons, when Lisa entered Krusty's American Idol-ripoff contest. Cameron, a young blonde kid, was Lisa's biggest rival and Homer decided to become his manager. He then proceeded to dub him "Johnny Rainbow", much to Cameron's dismay.

The name itself didn't really stick until Carl said near the end of the episode "YOU SUCK, JOHNNY RAINBOW!!"

One day, back in elementery school, BigFish and me were making comics and stuff. (Now we've switched to games and cartoons.) Our comic/ game was called Dynamite Dude. I came up with the heroes and city and stuff, but I only came up with one villain. So I consulted BigFish on the matter. He thought about it and came to me the next day with two names in which he just wrote a bunch of random letters and put vowels in between them. They were Dofa and Xenug. I emediately knew who they were and what they looked like. But their histories are in the process. Dofa has more of a history that Xenug now due to the Ace Attorny Games and these forums. (and American History projects.)
