I wondered that as well, the thing I was more confused about with Olaf is that in the first 2 games at least in the euro version but I'm pretty sure the US version as well Olaf's beard is brown yet in the Japanese version it's white, always seemed a very strange thing to do as it's not really more westernised.

Ugh. I think I'm going to throw up. I'd like to throw a few points out here. First off, GIMP is more powerful than Paint.NET. That's a fact, not an opinion. Secondly, Paint.NET is not free software, whereas GIMP is. Have you ever heard of the General Public License Agreement? Apparently not.
My point being is that GIMP is free software, whereas Paint.NET - while still costing nothing to use - is proprietary software. Proprietary software cannot be modified, studied, or redistributed (for example, you couldn't send it to your friend over MSN). The creators of Paint.NET also reserve the right to refuse you use of the software.
None of these are an issue in GIMP. And, honestly, even if you don't care, you should still support the free software movement, because even though not many people do it, some can survive using only free software (people frequently run ubuntu with Firefox and Thunderbird, using GIMP as their main image editor, Audacity as their audio editor, Pidgin for instant messaging, etc.)
Cough.
Anyway, nice sprites. I especially like the shocked Phoenix, much better than the original sprite. The art that's in your signature is awesome, it actually made me laugh. The one problem I have is that LeTouse's sunglasses look much more realistic than Brushel's ... maybe copy and paste them over?

oh well I get the impression that people don't especially like my OC, but then again I don't get many comments anyway. To be honest though I'm not to fond of how it looks so I made him as a prosecution aid, one of things I was intending for him to be but was to lazy/untalented to sprite him as, this looks much better seeing as it was done recently unlike the other one which was my first sprite. As it's side on you can actually see the headphones properly. I can't help think I might of done better if I'd used this and had used better grammar in the description.
edit:heh, it seems with this one I forgot to add in eyebrows, I think it looks oddly good without them though.
edit again: here we go he's got eyebrows and has a few slight adjustments, that said he looks kind of sad now.

I'll be adding another Oc soon, I just need to add some more poses.
I'm not getting rid of backrounds anymore as it reduces the sprites quality, at least on paint.net, but I can't get it working on GIMP.

Only a couple remarks/questions.
- Those three lines on the right cheek are scars right?
- the suit/tie needs more shading/rounding (dark jagged lines are sticking out a tad too much)

insani: mario and luigi may have been done before, I know Neon Lemmy Koopa's fangame has them in, but I'm not sure whether they are in PW sprite form or not. If I do make another game character into a sprite I think Robotnik/eggman would be first on my list though.

Remake of the shocked Phoenix sprite (with a more Phoenix-like jacket) already posted on the other forum.
Older version of the assistant OC- one of my problems with the sprite was that she looked a bit too young before, I may give her a jacket or something later to give her more character.
I'm working on an AJ Maya sprite, which at the moment is just a head (It's a Lana edit if you're interested), I don't think the eyes look right on either version though.
I'm working on improving the Waylon Payne sprites as well as giving him a forward facing sprite- but that is so incomplete it's not worth uploading.

I've started sprite editing too myself, but I'm only doing basic stuff at the moment, even thought I've used GIMP for a long time, I may as still be a noob with it XD. I've created Super Saiyan Phoenix, and also done some Sonic style editing to PW characters XD. I've also done a bit of character fusing and combing some of the same character's sprites together lol.If you did do all those sprites in GIMP though, I'm really impressed, they are really well made especially the one I mentioned lol.

Anyways as I don't like bumping without having anything to add I've re-added the waitress Mia sheet, put all the sprites on the 1st page in spoiler tags, added a priorities list and added all of the sprites to the main page. Scarface from the banner has also been added.
I'll remove all the backrounds for my next update hopefully.

Vordox: It would be great if you improved them, I tried redoing Andy recently but it still wasn't great. (off-topic, in my opinion, dark conflict is probably the best in the series, hope you enjoy it.)
and here's Waylon mark 3- most recent version is to the right of letouse. (this will be the last minor change, I'm almost sure of it)
changes: suit colour changed, slightly smoothed out, left eyebrow slightly changed, tie lengthened, given a small pink goatee. (the shirt is still bothering me though)
