So I'm new here and kinda lost. Apparantly first posts are sacred so I've taken the liberty of writing a little fanfic during double english. My teacher didn't mind. I think she was yelling at a kid for misspelling "bottle" Constructive critisism appreciated (God knows I need it), comments welcome and commenters loved . I'm 11 so don't expect too much. Oh, and I have no idea what the title should be. MAY HAVE GS4 SPOILERS. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED.

Everyone has their bad days, and Ema Skye was no different. She just had hers more often. If something could go wrong, it did. If something could be lost, it was. And if her future boss could be a glimmerous fop, then he'd be one. Welcome to the life of Ema Skye.

Chapter 1

The day of her interview started off the typical Ema way: her alarm clock not going off, her toast burning and her car breaking down.

She burst into the building a hour late with the remains of her burnt breakfast still clamped between her teeth. A young man looked up from his desk, startling Ema with his piercing blue eyes. She instantly reconised him as the lead vocalist for the band that played on every radio station in every hour. There was no way that she'd forget that girly, blonde hair that she'd been so jealous of, or those chains that caught the light and flashed in her eyes.

"Do you need something?" Ema swallowed the rest of her blackened toast. Suddenly her throat felt dry.

"H-Hi, I'm E-Ema Skye." The man grinned.

"Klavier Gavin." He whipped out a pen."You want an autograph, ja?"

Ema blinked "No, I'm Ema Skye. Here for the interview." He raised a eyebrow.

"For the job of detective? I've been waiting for you, fraulein... for over a hour." Ema winced. ...I am so screwed

"...No matter. We'll carry on anyway, ja? Follow me." He led her into a room down the hallway and motioned for her to sit down. He then took a seat himself and picked up a pen and a notebook with a big, shiny "G" on it.

"So, fraulein, why did you apply for this job?" Ema looked down, mumbling under her breath and reddening every second.

"...Because I failed the proficiency test in forensic science." It was obvious that that wasn't the answer he was looking for: she could even have sworn hearing him laugh softly as he scribbled on the notepad.

"Do you have any experience in this field?" Ema suddenly found her shoes amazingly intresting. Okay, don't panic, stay calm and lie through your teeth.

"I...I have none..." DAMMIT, WOMAN! Klavier chuckled and Ema turned a few shades redder.

"Tell me, fraulein, are you married?"

"No..."

"I see. Are you single?"

"I...I-Wait, what has this got to do with the job?!"

"Everything. A future boss has a right to know about his employees."

"...Fine."she replied stiffly "I haven't got a boyfriend." Klavier leaned further forward.

"Really? A fraulein like you should have no problem with love. So what kind of men are you interested in?"

"WHAT?!" Ema stared at the German prosecutor in disbelief, who stared expectantly back. She shifted nervously on her chair, hoping that it was just a bad joke.

Several moments passed with no sign from Klavier that it wasn't before she pulled out a bag and started munching on snackoos fiercely. Klavier didn't mind; he was watching her in a mix of curiousity and amusement.

"Don't you know that it's bad manners for a fraulein to eat halfway though a convosation with a gentleman?"
Ema scoffed "MUNCH You're no MUNCH -gentleman!" She swallowed, "Gentlemen don't flirt during an interview; they don't act like rock gods and they usually possess manners of some kind." Klavier laughed, unnerving Ema even more.

"Why would I want to flirt with you, fraulein?" Ema bristled, realising something that seemed so obvious now: Klavier Gavin, star of the Gavinners, eyecandy to millions of women, prosecuting prodigy-- was a jerk. A concieted, flirting and probably overpaid JERK.

Klavier noticed Ema twitching and holding her bag in a death grip before deciding to dismiss her.

"I think I've seen enough. I'll contact you in 2 weeks."

~Fast forward 2 weeks~

Ema flung open the doot only to be greeted by the staring face of Detective Gumshoe.

"Detective Gumshoe!" Said man grinned

"That's chief to you!"

"...Huh?"

"It seems like prosecutor Gavin has taken a shine to you, pal!" ...N-No way... he can't be serious...

"W-What are you saying?"

"You've got the job." All of a sudden, Ema wanted to scream.



There should be more coming... maybe.

Thanks for the nice comments I've written another chapter, but I'm not too pleased with it. Klavier stealing Ema's snackoos is overused. Cute, but overused. This takes place a little bit after the first chappie I think... BTW, italics are thoughts.


Ema was pissed; no, Ema was beyond pissed. She'd been so excited earlier that week, finding out that Lana had finally come back. She even deprived herself from sleep so that she could pick her up as early as possible, yet when she arrived Lana made one thing clear: she was just as cold as when she'd left. And the only consolation to the terrible morning, the only thing to cheer her up: her precious snackoos- were gone. Someone was gonna pay.

Chapter 2

Ema came barging into her boss' massive office ten minutes later yelling something about snackoos and theiving procecutors.

Klavier wasn't listening: instead he was writing a report and bopping his head to music on his MP3. Ema scowled at the waste of her dramatic entrance and switched it off. Klavier looked up.

"Need something, fraulein?" The detective banged her fist on the desk.

"You stole my snackoos."


"Maybe you just misplaced them." Oh, and now he insults my memory...?

"Your fingerprints are in my desk drawer where the snackoos were." Klavier muffled a laugh. He'd come to the conclusion that no normal person would go through the trouble for a bag of snacks. His eyes stared across at the girl glaring angrily at him. But then again, Ema Skye was far from normal. Klavier pulled open a drawer and dangled a bag in her face.

"These the ones, fraulein?"

"My snackoos!" She made a lunge for the yummy chocolate snacks, only resulting in her losing her balance and landing not-so-gracefully on the desk.

"I wondered why you're always carrying these around. They can't taste that good." Ema quickly composed herself and adjusted her pink glasses.

"T-They don't. So give them back." Klavier smirked.

"Mmm.. nein, fraulein."

"Huh?"

"No."

"This is theft! I... I'll report you!" Klavier's only response was reaching in the bag to pop one in his mouth. The scowling detective attepmted to grab the bag once more, but Klavier dodged it easily and made for the door. When Ema caught up moments later, no German prosecutor was in sight. Ema stomped angrily like a child having a tantrum Damn, he's fast...

Ema searched for him in every nook and cranny of the building, but to no avail until 15 minutes later on the roof of the police station. She immediately lifted him by the collar.

"Where's the bag, Gavin?" He licked his lips, satisfied.

"I ate it."

Ema twitched. If you happened to be a mind reader, this would be what was running through her head: Killklavierbuysnackooskillklaviercookdinnerkillklavierkillhimgoodreadthroughcasefilekillklavier.

He was so dead.


Klavier survived- he had managed to put Ema back in good moods by introducing her to the wonders of Pocky. He was clever like that.

Stupid -Mmmph- Gavin, stealing my snackoos. But still... She munched on the delicious chocolate covered sticks OMG, Pockity goodness... No one with such good taste could be a bad person...

"Munch munch- By the way, Lana wants you to come over our house for dinner. Munch- Tomorrow -munch- at six."

"Lana?"

"My sister. She wants to talk about my work."

"I've got band practice tomo-" He ws interrupted by Ema's glare, "But I'll put it off for you, fraulein." Ema grinned.

"Good." She handed him her apartment keys. "We'll be there later. Make yourself at home." She was gonna regret it later.



I'm sorry about the Pocky, but I had to put it in somewhere .

That was a lie. I'm not sorry at all. Amen, Pocky!

I loved the part in the second chapter where Ema was thinking the "kill klaviers" then putting her daily tasks in between.
If you need an editor, I am pretty good at that stuff.
Oh, and a suggestion is that it was kind of subtle the way she just invited him over, and gave him her keys right after thoughts of murder were going through her head.
It just striked me as odd.

Here's a short one.


Lana was always cool and collected; always the perfect lady. Unfortunately, Ema was none of these. So upon entering her apartment just before dinner with her sister and boss-
"Klavier Gavin... WHAT THE HELL HAVE YOU DONE TO MY APARTMENT?!!!

Chapter 3

Klavier was scared. Repeat: Klavier was scared. Ema had gone on a rampage as soon as she had seen the state of her once-clean apartment. They say that hell hath no fury like a woman scorned. Well, they ain't seen no Ema Skye yet.

This was her fifth rant so far, with her pacing up and down the room with the poor proscecutor sitting scared in the corner. One minute he was innocently sitting on the couch reading a magazine, the next, the crazy detective woman had charged in and started yelling at him. Sure, he'd messed up her apartment a little, but who really cared?

Apparantly, Ema did. A lot. She'd gone from ranting to wrestling in a blink of an eye. Within a second, she'd pinned him to the floor. Unluckily for her, only seconds after, the door clicked open.

"Ema, I'm bac-" Ema's eyes widened a fraction. She knew that voice...

"Lana! I can explain!" Ema quickly scrambled off Klavier, fully aware that the position they were in looked less than innocent.

"You... You have a boyfriend, Ema?"

"NO! It's not like that, I mean..." Lana suddenly tried to play the part of the understanding big sister.

"It's okay. Just tell me next time."

"Sis, I..." Ema glared at Klavier, who gazed nervously back."I- uh, umm... let's eat dinner now."

"Where's your boss?" Ema fingered her lab coat.

"This... is my boss."

Klavier stepped forward with a slightly forced smile and held out his hand "Klavier Gavin. Nice to meet you, fraulein." Lana ignored his hand and glanced curiously at her flushed sister who was currently tying her already-tied shoe.

"...Nice to meet you too. So shall we eat?" Ema nodded numbly.

"Through this way."


The three eventually sat down, after some harsh critisism of the messy apartment, during which Ema kicked Klavier in the shin while Lana was looking away and mouthed a "I hate you". Ema immediately busied herself by cooking and putting food out, trying as hard as she could to avoid Lana's questioning gaze.

"So how is Ema doing at her job? She wasn't too keen on this at first."

"Ah, ja. The fraulein detective is doing well. She may need some... motivation though." he paused for a moment, realising how wrong that sounded right now, and quickly amended his statement. "-maybe a bonus or something like that." Ema joined the table a second later, mumbling apologies for the burnt food.

"Oh, Ema, sit down. I have something to tell you."

For the rest of the evening, Ema sat silently, hardly touching the food while Klavier and Lana talked. Both seemed to notice that something was wrong, but for once, Ema didn't particularly care. Only one thought kept running through her head:
Mr. Edgeworth's coming back


Dun dun DUN! Did it surprise you? Coz it was meant to...

I might need an editor, but for now I have no idea what they do And I'll try to keep Ema in one mood, but she always struck me as the type to have a lot of mood swings. Anyway, thanks for commenting!

An editor just reads the chapter, and then submits any typo's, grammar issues, and any errors from a readers perspective.
I'm pretty good at that kinda stuff, and I'm writing my own fanfic too so I know how it would help to have one.
Oh, and in this chapter I kept re-reading it but I never read about any "compromisable positions" that Klavier and Ema got into.

Thanks I've changed the title to the most cheesy one ever, only because I had no other ideas. I'm pretty sure that it's been done before.

I finally typed out the next chapter. Because it's so long, I'm splitting it into part 1 and 2. Inspired by a recent trip to the dentist where I found out that I need two fillings... The Klavier/Ema starts here, just so you know.



Maybe it was the fact that Guilty love was blaring on the radio, or that the rumour about her and Klavier had spread like wildfire after Lana had told just about EVERYONE on the police force, but for some reason, Ema couldn't get the annoyingly handsome prosecutor out of her head. She buried her head deep into her pillow and let out a muffled scream.

Chapter 4 part 1

When Ema arrived at work 30 minutes late, noone seemed to care. She knew of only one day in the year where she wouldn't get a row, or threat to be fired. Ema groaned. It was the annual dental check-up.

There was chaos everywhere: Detective Gumshoe was barking orders, Mike Meekings had spent the whole time in the men's bathroom brushing his teeth until they shone, there was a messy trail of toothpaste covering the floor, and the chief of police had switched off his computer screen(SHOCK!) and checked his breath. Klavier, of course, was striding around cockily, confident that his teeth, as usual, would be completely flawless.

Gumshoe announced, only seconds later, that the bus was waiting for them. At these these words, there was a mad scramble as every detective, prosecutor, and police officer dropped what they were doing and made for the door. When it came to these things, they were no more mature than 7 year olds.

The back seats were always taken first: no one really knew why, but over the years it had somehow become some sort of competition instead.

Even Ema had joined in; racing ahead of the slow and clumsy men, and made it to the back in record time. She dumped her bags onto the seat, cheering inwardly- before realising that she'd left her purse on her desk. She stood up and made her way through hordes of screaming police officers. Hastily she retrieved her purse and returned to the bus...

...only to find one Klavier Gavin sitting smug in her seat. Said prosecutor looked up at the fuming detective.

"Something wrong, fraulein?" Ema gazed coldly at him.

"You're in my seat." Klavier laughed in that infuriating way.

"You know the rules, fraulein detective. No sit, no save."

"But my things are here an-" Klavier cut her off.

"The last seat is next to Herr Payne. Enjoy, ja?" To her horror, Ema found that he was indeed right. Ema looked at the lonely prosecutor sitting in the corner, flicking his hair and coating the seat next to him with dandruff.

Klavier saw Ema's lip curl in with disgust and his eyes twinkled mischieviously.

"We'll need to find you another seat." He patted his lap, inviting her on, leaving the poor detective gaping. A faint "Ho ho ho!" from Gumshoe rung in the distance, and already their collegues had started to stare.

A moment passed. Ema blinked, flustered and blushing, but still not moving or saying a word. Klavier did it for her, pulling her down to sit on his lap.

Some people said that she let him because she honestly wanted to. Others said that she was simply in shock.

And Ema? Ema told herself that it was because the only seat left was next to Winston Payne.


Wow, that was....weird. And I'm fully aware that adults don't go on dental checkups together, but this is in the future so...

Oh my god. This is so funny!!!!!!!!!!!!!! XD I love this! This is great writing and all the characters stay in character so thats good.

Just a couple spelling mistakes...

um 'no one' has a space and you added an 'o' to the end of 'day'

Yay! Inspiration struck!

The mistakes from the last chapter are fixed. Sorry, I was in rush when I typed it. This chapter carries on from the last one.


The bus screeched to an abrupt halt and the police force poured out, one by one. Ema was the first one to jump up and leave, despite her being right at the back.

She knew that too much time spent with prosecutor Gavin could result in mental illness, suicide, or, she admitted to herself, becoming one of his loony fangirls. Prosecutor mentioned only watched with a smirk playing on his lips as he watched her scramble outside. He knew enough about women to realize what she was thinking.

It's only a matter of time now...


Chapter 4, part 2

Detective Gumshoe led the force in and to the reception. He placed a hand on the receptionist's shoulder, causing her to jump. Of course, he didn't seem to notice.

"Hey, pal. We've got an appointment-" The woman interjected coldly.

"Kindly take your hands off me, and don't call me pal. It's unsettling." Gumshoe, as sensitive as he was, 'oof'ed and stepped aside to let Klavier sign in instead.

The receptionist suddenly seemed to be a lot friendlier, introducing herself as Jennifer, and flirting shamelessly. Klavier, watching the disgusted Ema from one eye, seemed to take it all too well- In fact, he almost seemed to be flirting back. He'd even said that he'd call her back when she gave him her phone number.

Fortunately, by then, another customer who'd been waiting for a long time politely asked them to "Hurry the f** up, because some people are waiting for you to shut yer bloody traps and get the hell outta here." Silently, Ema agreed.

The men in the force watched in quiet amazement and admiration as Klavier walked off with yet another girl's number. But Ema, however, was having a hard time being surronded by women trying to console her for no apparent reason. They were in turn, patting her and giving her hugs, but she didn't seem to be fazed by anything.

She just stared ahead, deciding that no glimmerous fop was going to pull her down.

Ema was the first to go in to have her teeth checked, and as soon as she left, everyone crowded round the prosecutor, asking how he was going to win Ema back, and why he had flirted with the receptionist in the first place, and if he even cared that Ema didn't seem to notice.

Honestly, it surprised him just as much as anyone else: usually a quick flirt to another girl from him was enough to send them both into a cat fight or hissy fit.

The questions continued until Ema walked back in and silence fell. She tilted her head questioningly, knowing that just a moment earlier they'd been making a racket. Gumshoe was the first to break the silence.

"So how are your teeth, pal?"

"Two cavities. Just got them filled."

"That's... nice..."

"Dick Gumshoe." A woman called him in. The detective sighed in relief and escaped from the awkward silence.


So far, the only person to have perfect teeth was Mike Meekings, who later revealed his secret was brushing his teeth thrice a day, and never eating any sweets whatsoever.

The last person to go in was Klavier. He walked in, cocky and sure, only to walk out again nearly in tears. The dentist came out with him.

"He's got a cavity, but he won't let me fill it. I'll need someone's help- who's the closest to him here?" Every set of eyes turned to face Ema pointedly.

The dentist turned to the red-faced woman too. "Looks like we have a volunteer."


The three walked into the room together. Klavier cautiously sat on the chair and Ema sat beside him. Suddenly Klavier looked small and scared, so unlike how he was only a few minutes ago.

Ema turned towards the shaking prosecutor, "...And that's what you get for eating my snackoos."

Klavier turned to face Ema, looking somewhat like a frightened little child, his eyes big and watery, and she could only feel sorry for him. The dentist pulled on thin rubber gloves.

"Alright, Miss Skye, if you would hold his hand..."

"What?!" Ema jumped up, nearly knocking over a table of equipment, only to find the dentist raising a eyebrow. She looked down at Klavier, looking vunerable and afraid. It didn't look like he would tease her in this state.

Sighing, she sat down and offered her hand to Klavier, who took it instantly. There was a gentle whirring noise as the chair lowered and the dentist pulled out something long and pointy. His grip on hers tightened immediately.

The process was over in a matter of minutes. Klavier had clutched her hand very, very hard, causing Ema to wince, but soon he found himself relaxing and stopping shaking.

The dentist smiled. "All better?" Klavier nodded, almost proudly. "You've been very brave, Mr. Gavin, and you've been very patient, Miss Skye." Out of nowhere, he produced 2 giant lollipops for each of them. "Well done."

Ema savoured the few moments afterwards when Klavier was obediently eating his lollipop, and had shut up completely. He even walked past Jennifer without saying a word (she promptly blamed it on the man who'd interrupted their flirting session.) and had said nothing about holding hands, nor her sitting on his lap.

She knew it wouldn't last long.



Dentists are wonderful, wonderful people Mike Meekings reminds me of Rock Lee, who has perfect teeth, and that's where I got that from.

...I'm back. Anyone miss me? nyway I played AJ all the way through again and finally found some inspiration to write (sorry it's a bit rushed. I only had 15 mins to write it. And w/out further ado, the very very very long awited chapter of Edgeworth. Seeing as it's been thirded and all As for editors, thanks for the offer but I'll do without. I hope you enjoy the story


10am, Saturday, Prosecutor's office.

Klavier paused, placing the cherry-red guitar he'd been playing down gently and sighed wistfully. 'I wonder what the fraulein detective is doing right now.'

Chapter 5

10am, Saturday, International airport

'Okay Ema, if you see him, give me a shout.' Lana called, her eyes scanning furiously across the crowd.

Ema nodded eagerly, trying to picture what he'd looked like 9 years ago. All she remembered was that he was incredibly handsome and had a frilly thing stuck to his suit.

'I see him!' Ema yelled,seeing the frilly thing from a mile away. Her excited smile turned into one of amazement as she saw him approaching.

Her mind went into overdrive, all sorts of thoughts filling it, including:
When did he get this good-looking?
When did his hair get so damn shiny?
Aren't you mean't to get less attractive as you age...?
...Ugh, I thought I got over this Edgeworth thing.

His voice, as smooth and calm as ever, brought her out of her reverie.

"Ah, Miss Skye. A pleasure to see you again. How you've grown." To her upmost horror, Ema found herself blushing and stuttering.

"I-I-....." Edgeworth raised one arched eyebrow and turned to Lana.

While they exchanged formalities, Ema tried to collect her thoughts and not ogle at the maroon-clad prosecutor.

Play it cool, Ema. Play it cool.

Edgeworth looked towards her again "It's been some time since I've seen you. I propose we all go out for a coffee together and catch up. My treat, naturally." Ema's mouth responded immediately without her brain's approval.

"YES PLEASE!"

"..."

"..."

Ema hastily corrected herself "I mean, sure, why not?"

Lana excused herself, saying she had far too much work to do, and smiled behind her hand, watching Ema stutter and blush and shift nervously from foot to foot. Her little sister had a crush.


Monday mornings, Klavier decided, were no fun without a fraulein detective to tease. The events of yesterday evening ran through his mind:

The phone rang, and Klavier picked up.

"Gavin residence, Klavier Gavin speaking, star prosecutor and lead singer of the Gavinners." Probably some fangirl who'd got lucky and found his phone number.

"...I know who you are, glimmer boy. (Munch Munch) I bet you thought I was a (Munch) fangirl who'd got lucky and found your (Munch) phone number. Think again, jerk." Klavier winced.

"So, how ist das?"

"Oh, fine (Damn, out of Snackoos) I want Monday morning off, though." An afterthought "...Please."

"Anything for you, fraulein, but why?" He could practically feel the pride emanating throught the phone.

"Oh, nothing. I'm just having coffee with THE Miles Edgeworth."

"Who?"

Ema shrieked from the other side of the phone. "You don't know THE Edgeworth; simmerous prosecutor, cool of wit and furrowed of brow?!"

"No."

"Some prosecutor you are. Anyway, I won't be in until the afternoon. Bye, fop!" Bewildered, Klavier set the phone down and returned to his case files

Klavier checked his designer, amazingly shiny, and amazingly expensive, watch. 9:37. He slammed his pen down and decided that he had a sudden craving for coffee.


I got the 'cool of wit' bit from AJ. Correct me if I'm wrong. Love? Like? Hate? R&R plz I hope I haven't lost all my amazing readers...

I'll agree with Aquay. I'm just glad you didn't forget about this fic!
Anything Klavier/Ema (that doesn't include one of them dying) is great in my book. This fic included. IMO, there isn't enough of it!!!

I really liked the telephone conversation, BTW. Random for me mentioning it, I know, but it was well written!

Aww, thank you. I never did forget about this fic, but I had a chapter w/ lots of fluff and typed it all up, but accidently deleted it, then didn't have the motivation to write it again sorry. If I have enough time, I'll recreate that chapter.

*Gasp* You don't know what pocky is? Boy, you've been missing out on the best thing since sliced bread (I have no idea what that means ) Go buy some. Now. Oh, and you can have a cookie too Thank you very much, but I still have a loooong way to go before I can write properly, but bear with me for a while when I post up the next mediocre chapter

So, I've changed the layout, hopefully it's easier to read, and got the next chapter up. Here we go:




Chapter 6

Ema smiled dreamily at the prosecutor sitting in front of her, gushing praises ay every available moment.

"I'd love to see you prosecute once more- you were amazing out there, and you looked so cool!"

Edgeworth had a small smirk on his face, but for the most part, seemed unaffected, like he was used to this.


Crouched behind a dustbin near the outdoor cafe, Klavier Gavin tried desperately to persuade himself that he was not spying on his subordinate. It wasn't working. Especially since he was wearing his old shades and had 'borrowed' Gumshoe's trademark dettective coat. He'd thought about a fake moustache, but decided that was taking it too far.

He glared angrily at the nearby table where two people were chatting over a latte and cup of tea.

Well, one of them was chatting, the other politely listening and smugly recieving compliments. The detective's voice piped up.

"Could I come see your office sometime?" Ema was batting her eyelashes and twiddling her thumbs, something no one had ever seen her do, but then again, no one had ever seen her having coffee with Edgeworth.

Ema was looking at Edgeworth with these sparkly adoring eyes, something Klavier was used to seeing, only it was the eyes the fangirls always wore. And it was usually directed at HIM.

Klavier, having seen enough of this love fest picked himself up-

-and promptly tripped over the dustbin he'd been hiding behind.

With a clang, the bin toppled over, leaving him open for all to see. Ah. Ich bin busted.

Unfortunately, not only did the Ema and Edgeworth hear, but so did a group of teenage girls, who despite his best efforts, saw right through his disguise.

"Omigod, it's Klavier Gavin!"

"Omigod, he's sooo cute!"

"Like, check him out! But that coat is totally gross." The others agreed a little too enthusiastically, then proceeded to ambush him.

One in particular was all immediately all over him, flirting not-so-subtly, while Ema and Edgeworth watched, confused and still seated.


Ema shut her eyes tightly, refusing to believe that her boss would ruin such a pleasant time with Mr.Edgeworth. Close your eyes, and he'll go away. She opened her eyes, but no, he was still there. What was she doing behind that bin? And what is he wearing? She squinted Is that... Gumshoe's coat?

Her eyes fell on the teenage girl who was giggling stupidly and feeling his bicep while a nervous Klavier stood by, waiting for her to stop inspecting his muscles.

Get your hands off my fop!

Ema gasped, realising what she'd just thought. She stared at him some more, and for a second, their eyes made contact, guilty light blue eyes meeting dark green ones. But she blinked, and the next moment, he'd taken off, with a trail of screaming fangirls behind him.

"Miss Skye." Edgeworth's tone was demanding and he set down his cup of tea with a little more force than necessary, "Who was that man?"

"Um, that was Klavier Gavin. My boss. He's, uh, a very good prosecutor." She bit her lip seeing Edgeworth's angry eyes. "O-Obviously not as good as you, of course."

Edgeworth shook his head.

"You need to be careful around him, Miss Skye." Ema nodded absent-mindedly. I'll say. He stole my snackoos. Edgeworth carried on cautiously "You know how Wright lost his badge... presenting forged evidence."

Ema knew. It was all over the news at the time. She protested anyway, "Mr.Wright would never do such a thing!"

"Yes, I agree. He's far too simple-minded to do something like that."

"You mean... he was set up?"

Edgeworth nodded. "It's certainly a possibility. And do you know who prosecuted that case?"

Ema shook her head, some part of her dreading the answer.

"Klavier Gavin. Of course, he could have nothing to do with this case. Unless... unless it was HIM that set Wright up for the fall."

Edgeworth stood up, slamming down more than enough money to pay for both their drinks. "Listen, here are the directions to the Borscht Bowl Club. It's better if you ash him yourself. Wright..." he faltered, if only for a moment. "Wright was a fine attorney." And with that, he walked away, leaving a shocked Ema in his wake.



Oops. Wasn't meant to turn out like that, but oh well. It's about time I put some storyline into this anyways

Oh, I get it. You're making up for the 1 year absence by updating really quickly. Well, I can live with that, as long as you get round to writing that Maya/Nick you promised me ;)

Pocky is known as Mikado everywhere but America.

oooooh... I LOVE POCKY THEN! good story! I like the "get your hands of my glimmerous fop." bit - that was so funny!

Yay! Another Pocky follower ] And I'm glad you liked that bit. Ema's always struck me as the possessive, don't ever touch my stuff even if I don't let on that I like it, sorta person

I've just scrapped the next chapter. Turns out I'm not so good with serious bits. I'll probably write a load of fluffy moments instead

I started to read your fic hm two days ago ? And I really love it \o/
I love the Ema/Klavier couple, and Lana is one of my favourite characters.
I also like how you write ^^ You respect well the features of the characters.
And I was disappointed that in AJ there's not the meeting between Ema and Nick, so I can't wait to read the next chapter !
