I was wondering if anyone saw the little blurb about Gyakuten Kenji in the June 2008 issue? The only reason why I get PiQ is because I used to get Newtype USA and this is the magazine they replaced it with. (Which I'm still mad about, it's definitely inferior.) Anyway, this is what it said:

"Finished with Apollo Justice: Ace Attorney? Congratulations! You've officially caught up with everything Capcom's released in Japan. The company's only just gotten around to announcing the new Ace Attorney game in Japan, and it's not even strictly Ace Attorney--more like Ace Prosecutor, really. Called Gyakuten Kenji and putting overzealous DA Miles Edgeworth and his minion Det. Dick Gumshoe in the leading roles, the new game seems close in style to old-school Sierra adventures--you'll actually be walking around crime scenes this time, searching for evidence and trying to build a case so airtight that not even Phoenix Wright could object to it. Don't expect it until late '08 at the earliest for America."

Heh, late '08? That seems highly optimistic for a release date. :oops:

Not like there's anything in it that we didn't know about but... I thought I'd post it. :phoenix:

It does seem like an overly optimistic release date considering I'm not sure we even have a confirmed release date for Japan (unless they're going to try for a simultaneous release in both countries which would be cool, but seems unlikely considering their history). Still, I'll be very happy if this turns out to be true.

The way it was worded sounds like speculation by the Author. I wouldn't hold any weight to the article.

The keyword here is earliest. But yeah, that's optimistic even for "at the earliest". But it's nice to think it could possibly be out that early. :Keko-hands:

I'd hate to wonder how long the localization is gonna take if it'll come out late 08. Meh, I'll just replay every AA game to keep my mind off it.

Late 2008 would be great but at this point I'm willing to bet that's when it's more likely to be out in Japan. The difference between the US and Japanese release will be a bit harder to judge though. I'm not clear how long it took between the Japanese DS versions to be released and the American. Does anyone have an idea?

If even it's just the Japanese version that comes out in late 2008, I'll be a happy fangirl. :edgy:

With my limited Japanese, I'll definitely struggle through it, but I'm very determined when it comes to things Edgeworth. XD

I'm suffering from withdrawal (just finished playing through all for the second time) so...I'm completely immersing myself in all things Ace Attorney. Lots of icon-making, fanfiction-writing, music-listening...it'll have to sustain me until I can play cases again.

Or else, I will start acting out scenes in my desperation.

(This has happened before.)

Right now I'm listening to a full dub of Turnabout Sisters, 1-2. Complete wonderful.

I make graphics for people. Yay me.
