I thought all the pop-culture references were great...really well done on the localisation (except for all the grammatical errors though...grr). I don't know if I spotted them all though (not the grammatical errors, yes I saw all of them, like the little grammar nazi I probably am)...is there anywhere on these forums/Court Records/anywhere where there is a complete(/ish) list of all the references?

The ones I remember off the top of my head (I'm sure there were many others, but I've forgotten them):
*possibly some very minor spoilers if you haven't played JFA*

ytmnd:
Maya Fey : You the man now, doll!

The Fresh Prince of Bel-Air:
Moe : In West Clownedelphia, born and raised (and so on)
[and then the Judge's quote about 'what is this autobiographical nonsense' made me laugh too]

Lord of the Rings:
Wendy Oldbag : You shall not pass!

Scooby Doo:
Ack : Zoinks, it's the alien!

What are some of the other ones that you noticed/made you laugh?

I never noticed them before, probably cause I was half asleep when playing the game. xD I do remember a little of Moe's rambling though, but it went by too fast for me to actually grasp what he said.

A few more:
Pokemon
Phoenix Miss Adrian Andrews, I CHOOSE YOU!
LoZ cartoon
Ack Well excUUUSe me, princess.
Wizard of Oz
Edgeworth Who would have thought it would be the Wicked Witch of the Witness stand?

...and I think there are more but I didn't catch them.

All this aside, it would probably be a fun idea to see all of the references on a CR site page, or at the very least a topic like this one only formatted better.

Ooh, ooh, I remembered another one!

American Pie
Maya Fey (talking about Nick) This one time, at lawyer camp...

Now I haven't actually seen American Pie, but that quote made me laugh out loud.
Anyone got any others?

DUDE. I must have missed that. o__o ...Or forgot. Which case is that one from?

I'm replaying the game trying to find any referances I missed. Otherwise I can't think of anything. The Zelda cartoon referances made me crack up when I saw it, though. XD

Good Point there, surprised we haven't discussed this. Ha, This is actually why the games take a long time to come out here. They need Puns and pop culture references. It's cool actually. I might replay the game again haha

Now that you mention this one, it's also the line that the Black Knight (John Cleese) uses in Monty Python and the Holy Grail when he refuses to let King Arthur (Graham Chapman) pass. Edgy I didn't notice any others, I admit, since I was concentrating on getting through the game with a minimal amount of errors and goof-ups. When I play JFA again, I'll pay more attention to them this time around. Edgy Thinks

Ah, you've reminded me of another pop culture reference, although it's not from GS2/JFA. Remember in court on PW:AA Case 5, at one point Ema keeps saying "It's only a flesh wound!"

Ah, but we have.

Phoenix "Time to fire up the afterburners and hit the highway to the danger zone" <-- A reference to Danger Zone, by Kenny Loggins
Maya Fey "...Naruhodo A. Wrighto" <-- Reference to GS
Judge "Come, Edgeworth, Show me the Money!" <-- Jerry Maguire
Edgeworth "This isn't the Phoenix Wright Wax Philosophical Power Hour!" <-- A reference to the drinking game?
Edgeworth "I saw the report with her testimony, but who knew that<b>under that helmet... it was
the wicked witch of the witness stand!?" <-- Wizard of oz
Oldbag "You shall not pass!!!" <-- LOTR
Edgeworth "Usually when one finds a body, they are shaken up, not stirring a glass of juice." <-- James Bond (shaken, not stirred)
"For great justice" <-- Zero Wing / All Your Base Are Belong To Us
Acro "I suppose you could say that I'm stronger than the average bear..." <-- Yogi B
Trillo: "Enough jibba jabba!" <-- Mr. T
Maya Fey "That monkey don't fake the funk on a nasty dunk!" <-- Reebok commercial (?)
Phoenix "(This is like some Faustian nightmare...)" <-- Faust / Faustus

The actual line is:
Eh? I'd rather not be working hard, but with crime you don't make your own hours
Eh? If I have to be at the circus anyways, I want to see the lion tamer and the tightrope.
Eh? However, no matter where I go, the show is always the same... Dead body. Stage left

I'd definitely say Gatewater hotel is a reference to the Watergate hotel of Nixon infamy, but I don't think it has ever been officially stated.

If I recall correctly, Hotti makes another LotR refrence with Ini's photo; "My precious...".
Or something to that effect. Could be a coincidence, but whatever.

You've got all the others I remember. I loved the Pokemon one, too. The "Objection!" pose is, in fact, very similar to the "[insert Pokemon here]! I choose you!" pose. Love it. Will Powers

GS2-3. After you meet Max Galactica and he goes "Billy Bob Johns" on you. When you return to the office, show Maya Max's profile. She then suggests that you try being exotic too, using "Naruhodo A. Wrighto" as your new name.

In Case 4, Oldbag explains why Corrida is sent so many teddy bears by fans. It is identical to the story of the creation of the Teddy Bear.

To those of you who are unaware of the story, this is how it went.

On a hunting trip, Theodore 'Teddy' Roosevelt came across a bear cub, however, he refused to harm it. A cartoon came out in the papers after that and a toy maker made a single stuffed bear for his window. There was so much demand for them he mass produced them, naming them 'Teddy Bears'.
