Is the game "Perfect Prosecuter" going to have the same type gameplay as the Ace Attorney series because I saw this trailer of a capcom press conference where they released a trailer for this game (I think!) and it wasn't like the AA series at all, it was totally different. So was that something else or will it stay the same.

It's kind of funny seeing Edgeworth walking around and stuff, but doesn't bring back memories :larry:

Obivously, it's not. It's even shown in the trailer as such.

It's definitely different. I'm just happy to be getting more of Edgeworth! He's such a great character :edgy:

It seems very much different, but from what the clips do show, it looks like there is more control over what Edgeworth does than there was over the protagonist in the AA series. This slightly more hotel dusk approach (although I can't imagine full freeroam as in Hotel dusk ever being in a Gyakuten game) to investigation will hopefully make the game appeal to fans who prefer more hands-on gaming, rather than the click and readof the AA series.
Hopefull the graphics will be spruced up from what look like early GB graphics to true DS graphics, and we "SHOULD" have a good game on/in our hands.
Finger's crossed they fulfil my high expectations.

it may end up as an even more aquired taste than the normal PW games.

I really hope not, for the sake of future GS releases in Europe. The way I see it, Capcom are on the verge of not releasing future titles here. It had best be playable to the majority.

Well, critics complained about the games being too much alike. Also, I think it's good that it's different. This way Ace Attorney gets a new style of game play without getting rid of the old one.

Well, I do hope Perfect Prosecutor becomes a success, because I loved the AA series but after playing Apollo Justice I kind of got bored of the same old Ace Attorney-Style gameplay and wanted something totally new.

Having Miles Edgeworth as the main character would be great because he plays such a great role in the game and has an incredible backround with emotional moments. We can discover how all this DL-6 incident occurred and more about "Prosecutor Miles Edgeworth chooses death."

One question. What time period is it in this game and who are the rumored characters in the game. All I know is that there's Detective Gumshoe and some mysterious girl. She must be an assistant like Maya or Trucy. Can't wait. *crosses fingers*

The time line is sometime after PW3: T&T I believe.

Actually, it's shaping up to be more of a traditional adventure game from what the trailers show. Long court sequences are usually what reviewers usually find wrong with AA, and they seem to like the adventure gameplay during investigations more.

Adventure gaming is pretty much dead, though, so maybe you're right about the game being even more niche.

I think the biggest impact the new style of gameplay will have on the AA audience is the side-view play, because we're so used to point-and-click adventuring (with courtroom scenes later, granted).

EDIT: And Edgeworth running. RUNNING. :yogi:

From what I can tell, the game is not even going to be close to AA. Maybe this time Edgeworth will focus on something other than his rivalry with Phoenix. At least it'll have familiar characters and (hopefully) a great story.

there are only 3 things that are going to be the same: The ridiculous amounts of dialogue, some of the characters are the same, and the same F***ing menu selection screen (well kind of) 2 1/2 of the things are the same.

No it isnt from what i can gather it doesnt have any courtroom scenes you mainly play as edgeworth going around collecting evidence.
As far as i am aware it plays like a point and click adventure but how the story will work i don't know i mean will it be in case format?
I think you will collect evidence and then after you get it all find out what happens with the defendant

A spinoff probably won't do better than the main series though.

The trailer looks interesting, but the taglines made it sound similar to AA's objectives ("clues are hidden at the crime scene", "you must find the truth" etc) except you're Edgeworth. On the other hand there looks to be proper exploring/walking around unlike the point n click gameplay of PW.

Who did you hear this from? Certainly not C-R. It is completely different. No matter where you look.

I wonder if the game will have many shorter cases like the Ace Attorney games or just one big case instead.
