"Wish we had some customers." he said in a slow drawl, slumping back onto a wooden chair. He reached inside a cooler and took out a Silver Fox beer, his homemade brewed beer. Snapping the top off with a pocket knife, the young man took a quick drink, then placed it back in the cooler.
His name was Clarke Larkham.

All of a sudden, something caught his eye. It seemed to be hiding under the pool table. Clarke couldn't see it very well, since he didn't turn on the TV or the lights, but it moved.
To the left.
To the right.
Up the wall.
Down the wall.
Clarke quickly jumped out of his seat and grabbed a pool cue. The state recently passed a law banning guns in bars.
Like we'd kill patrons, Clarke thought, only the ones that try to steal from us.
The thing had made its way to the bathroom. Clarke quickly opened the door and smashed it on the head.
The pool cue broke into two, with the short end on the floor. Clarke thought the impact would have left blood...
...and it did.
This... he intensely thought, is bad.

Whether he had proof that he was a burglar or not, Clarke is a murderer. Being a former lawyer, he quickly flipped through the library of law that was his mind for a quick escape route. If he testified, then he would incriminate himself. The fifth amendment. That was his first escape route.
The person tresspassed in the bar. That's another escape route.
But no matter how hard he tried, he always lead to the same solution: would they know?
It was just a matter of waiting for someone to help him.

Clarke grumbled, then called his friend, Damon Westhavorr, to run the bar while he was gone.
As James took Clarke out, he whispered to one of the men, "Keep an eye out on that guy. Make sure he doesn't leave the bar."
The patrolman saluted, then went off.

James shrugged off Edgeworth, then he noticed Cyrus leaving. He drew his pistol and chased Cyrus, yelling "Stay where you are!"
Cyrus ran off into an one-way alley, as James grabbed him, handcuffed him and seized his cellphone. The patrolman followed.
"I told you to keep an eye on him..." Kante muttered, scolding the patrolman.
"But I-"
"No buts." James said. "Now go, and good luck with your little two month vacation."
The patrolman whimpered, then went off.
