Just curious.

I would like proof that such thing exists! And what special edition and for what?

This was asked in the first page of the thread but I'll answer it anyway:

The reason DMC2 is so bad isn't because "Dante is less badass" or any dumb crap like that. It's because everything was simplified to the point where you could easily win the game by button mashing, you couldn't learn new sword attacks or upgrade them like you did in the first game, so basically you were stuck with the same 3-5 moves for the entire game. The new melee weapons you got didn't have any new attacks either, they were just more powerful versions of eachother. They were also useless because the pistols were so strong that you could finish the entire game with them.

The story was basically non-existent and filled with plot holes, random bosses appeared left and right. One scene had Dante walking around a city then suddenly a building exploded and a monster appeared from it.

The only good things the game had were some of the music and Dante's burned out veteran attitude (which a lot of people disliked).

Heh... I've never played DMC but I've watched the anime... I learned enough about Dante though... The anime is so totally awesome though...

Gahhhh, but...everyone in the anime is so ridiculously out of character! Well, I don't know about Trish, I didn't get to her. But Dante and Lady? NOT AT ALL like how they act in any of the games. Not that Dante can keep himself straight for 4 seconds at a time anyway.

You have to remember that the anime takes place after DMC1, it's obvious that Lady isn't going to act like she did in DMC3. Dante doesn't act out of character at all, his attitude in the anime is a mix of how he is in DMC1 and 2.

Beat DMC 4 on Devil Hunter Mode a few days ago, now I'm going through Human mode collecting Pride Souls and Red Orbs for Son of Sparda Mode. Bloody Palace is addicting too, trying to get past level 20 is a serious challenge.

Wow, this topic is back in action... barely. Does anyone else have the PC version of Devil May Cry 3 Dante's Awakening? It's buggy as Hell.

Resurrecting this topic, sorry for doublepost :D

I've now played DMC3 SE about three times with Dante and once with Vergil. I also tried playing Bloody Palace mode today, I died at Stage 5200. Very frustrating, you see.

I would gladly buy the 5th Anniversary Collection if I could find it. Does anyone know any good, maybe European shops which would have it? Play-Asia is off, they don't have the Pal version. And so is Amazon, I'm under 18 D:

Yay! I beat the Bloody Palace mode in DMC3 SE!! But I didn't unlock any new outfits cause I used the Super Dante costume, the costume with unlimited DT. It was pretty like hell in the end though.

I've started playing Dante Must Die mode with Dante, I'm still playing Very Hard with Vergil :)
