I doubt we'll need shaders - it's only 2D (unless it has a 3D examine system, like KanadaKid was working on in his).

Also Linux + Wine + DirectX => Unhappy Mix of FLOSS & proprietary software only possible for Windows users leading to hours of SEGMENTATION FAULT debugging time (ah, the wonders of the kernel security layer). But since I own about 10 flavours of Windows goo anyway...

No shader usage. Later AIGE may get support for using shaders (if the game programmer wishes to use).
The only "shader" you can think is the "texture shader" provided by AHLTL, but it's software (and works in wine).

It's ~7:30PM here, so still Friday, 13th.

For multiple chapters I didn't do the chapter selection screen. I may do it if someone requests.

The only issue of wine with AIGE is the text object. For some obscure reason, it doesn't seem to work (I tested on my university, the PCs are ok, but the admins are lazy and the wine install doesn't seem reliable.).

Please, do a chapter selection screen! It will be easier to have all cases in one game.

Now that I think about it, we are every day closer to being able to create complete Ace Attorney games. Wow.

I'll do it as I get AIGE to support vectors and slists (and redo the evidence profile internal system to support more than 3 pages each, too).

Without the slist variable type I can't make the feature dynamic. It is a linked list, btw.

Thinking about it, couldn't we make our own chapter select screen? Just make a screen with the images on and upon click it loads the script for case 1/2/3 etc. using that multiple game file method mentioned in a convosation between donald and KSA earlier.. just a thought.

but doesnt that mean the exe file would need to remember when to show unlocked chapters? it would basically need a permanent save system to always recognize that the chapter can be used. therefore to have this system, we need to be able to save no?

Save and the Chapter Screen are connected. AIGE has a CGFlag system that could be used for this. When i do the chapter screen I may add a special save to save the cgflags so you can "record" chapters seen.

I pretend to make AIGE allow you to decide what to save (vars, cgflags, etc). After release I'll work on cgflag to allow this little feature. (so users can make cases divided into multiparts and chapters).

Allow me to formally apologize for being a lazy SOB when it came to revising, but I'll justify this with standard excuse #93, exams.

Much as I'd like to stick around for the release, it's late, and I figure it'll be much more satisfying waking up on the first day of summer to a casemaker rather than wait around for a release that might even be tomorrow.

Night, y'alls. :odoroki:
