To be honest, when I first herd one of my friends ranting about this 'lawyer game' I though it sounded pretty lame. XD Then she forced me to play it, and now its my crack. :will:

I think the first I heard of this game was from Boot to the Head. xD I knew it was a game about lawyers and that you shout OBJECTION in it. I knew the lead character had spiky hair and a blue suit; there's a guy in cravat and emobangs; and there were things called psyche-locks. I thought the concept was clever and cute. Didn't think there'd be as much of a CSI element as there is. Honestly, when I first played it, the court sequences are what hooked me. I still like them better than investigation phases.

I played PW:AA first when a friend lent it to me. It's still my favourite out of the series.

The first I've heard about the game was on a Cinematech episode on G4 tv. When I first saw it I was like....what is this? I think it was the original japanese verson they showed...can't quite remember. Anyway, watching through it, I was like "Okay, what's going on? There talking..." then all of a sudden...

:igiari:

I was like..."WTF!" Didn't see that coming. I became more interested and learned a bit about it from gamestop. Found out there was an American verson release and so I checked it out. Loved it...and was hooked ever since.

My friend was the one who got me into the games. I heard about the american release from him and when he bought the game and finished it, he let me borrow it.

To this day I do not own any PW games, and I borrowed the other three from him. When I'm done with AJ then I'm gonna play the first one again. :gant-clap:

An online friend of mine told me about it, and I REALLY didn't know what to think. I then saw that her avatar and sig picture were parody-esque things of this strange "lawyer game." I looked up some things about it (mostly Wiki...which means I spoiled the entire first game for myself), and I fell in LOVE with the storyline. I bought it ASAP.

I actually read some NaruMitsu before I even got the game...that got me pretty hooked, too.

I thought it would be extremely boring. My first thought was "how the heck is a LAWYER game so popular?!" But I got the game anyway and I had so much fun! Then I had to wait for the second, third, and fourth game to come out.

The only reason why I had bought the first game was because I had heard on GameFAQs (not on a GS/PW board.) that it was going to be hard to get if you didn't buy it like RIGHT NOW. So, I bought it, not really knowing what to expect. It was intriguing. ^_^ All I knew is that the game was really good.

It sat around for a little while before I actually played it. Once I actually opened it and played it, I became obsessed. After I finished the first one, I HAD to get the second one. And then the third one. And then I had to wait for AJ. It's my current obsession right now, taking up most of my free time with fanfiction and such. :edgy:

I've never heard of it in English. The first ads I saw were in Japanese. It was quite interesting if only for the voice acting. If there were a release that included full voice, it would need another generation of DS to handle a newer cartridge that can handle that much awesome. :lana:

I played through the first 3 games in English. I played through the 4th one in Japanese. I have no idea what to expect from an English version. :\

One day, I was bored so I looked through IGN's reviews about some gams and I came across "Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney" and I was like "Attorney...? A lawyer game?! How boring!". Then, I read the review and thought it sounded pretty interesting and decided to try it out :D...AND THEN I GOT ADDICTED LIKE CRACK~ :o....a-yep :yogi: ...my story is just like everyone elses'...XD Now, I'm ADDICTED to Phoenix Wright & Apollo Justice :o that I doodle and think about it everyday (seriously :O I can't stoopp D: )

"What's so great about that game?" My first thoughts.

I first found out through all the fanart on devART. Then I asked one of my best friends about it. She had it, said it was really good, and loved it. So I decided to buy it.

... Now, look at me. I talk about it 24/7 and love it.

Too bad I found out about it pretty late. Now I can't find the first game in the series anywhere.

"Phoenix Wright is LOVE." My thoughts... that's unlikely to change. XD

I read a game report of PW on a magazine a few years ago...and I thought it was quite silly...and I don't have a GBA anyway.

But years later one of my best friends recommend it to me so I decided to have a try...and I found myself being silly for years. TAT

I laughed. That was my reaction. I was looking for a new DS game and I asked my brother for some advice. He mentioned the game to me and my first reaction was to laugh at the very idea of a lawyer game. I thought that he was joking. He actually hadn't played it at the time that he mentioned it to me (although he did play it after I started raving about it), but he had heard very good things about it so I decided to give a try and I'm happy that I did. :)

When I first heard about it I thought it would be fail/boring, but then last year I randomly just decided to buy the first game to see what it was (I think it was a fanart I saw that prompted me to do it) even though I thought nothing exciting would happen.

Look at me now. D:

And I ended up never seeing that fanart that made me want to get it again! XD

I saw it in my brother's Mad Magazine. I thought "I MUST HAVE THIS GAME!!!". I kept looking back at that page. I wondered if such a game existed before I saw the article. When I finally saw it, I wanted it immediately.

I first read about it in a Nintendo Power magazine. It was about the first game. "It wont make it." Is what I thought. Bout a year later, I see the second game in the store and I decide to buy it for no good reason. I finished that, I ended up buying the first game, and so on. I enjoyed it.

I thought of it as some weird offbeat lawyer game, which I had noticed.

Then some months later, I was in Best Buy, and saw the second game. I thought to myself "What the hell, why not?" and bought the game, along with a couple of CDs.

And then I got myself to the first game, and the third and fourth when they came out, and that's it, apparently.

I had been into these kinds of games for a while... but the thought of "Lawyers? In MY video games?!" had been kinda odd. I mean most trials in real life aren't that exciting even with a big case like murder...

Got it.

I was flipping through some gaming magazine (can't remember which one, for some reason), and I saw Trials and Tribulations mentioned.

Me: *reading magazine* Hmmm, nothing. Wait, a... Lawyer game? *gigglesnort*

A couple months later, I decided to ask my mom for JFA and T&T for Christmas. (I didn't know that there was one before JFA.) I figured I'd hate it, but I had nothing better to do. She brought home the first game. (Which I found on accident while I was looking in her room for one of my books.) I asked her if she'd let me have it early so I'd have something to do, since I had no homework. She agreed, after a little convincing. I started to play it. Needless to say, the next day, I went to her and begged her to take me to GameStop. Luckily, I found JFA and T&T. I was a rabid fan before the week was over. (Though I didn't admit that to anyone until a few months later. I didn't think the fanbase would be as large as it is.)

I am now completely addicted. (And I'm making absolutely no attempts to get myself "un-addicted". ;D )

My first experience with it was through various parodies and such on Gaia Online, as well as seeing some of the cosplay avatars/roleplayers there. They seemed to really like what they were doing, so when I found a DS for incredibly cheap, I got it in order to play the PW games... Maybe that's lame but hey, I'm having fun.

My brother put it on his R4 and played it and told me about it.

"I've got this game where you play as a lawyer and solves cases. It's awesome."
"It is?" :larry: "Let me try!" ^^

And so I went on every day until he had finished the first one.

"Done yet? Done yet? Done yet? I wanna try it!"

And then I tried it and loved it.

I just like debating, this game was made for me :gant: I heard of it in "Phoenix Wrong" then saw it's japanese only. After awhile I figured (somehow) it got an english edition on the DS and from the first moment got attached to ruining the killer's life and proving my rightous logic! D:

I first saw Phoenix in Kajetokun's Kajastic musical on Youtube(Pylons are trap balls!) and I was wondering what game he is from. Then one person got freaked into PW, and then I was filled in the details about the game. My first thoughts?

:wtf:

But when I played it, I loved it.

I honestly wasn't sure exactly what to think when I first heard of it. My husband had seen the game mentioned somewhere (I think it was mentioned in one of his gaming magazines) and asked for it as a Christmas gift since he thought it sounded interesting. I was a little skeptical at first-a game about... attorneys? What kind of game is that?!-but decided to forgo further judgment until I actually played it although, to be honest, I thought it sounded kind of lame at first.

He received the game as a Christmas gift in 2005 and I started playing it in January 2006... and I was instantly hooked. The rest is history. :edgy: :phoenix: I've been a HUGE Phoenix Wright: Ace Attorney fan ever since! :edgy: It's one my favourite games! :edgy:

My mom orginally got the second game (JFA) and started playing it, but never got too far (She got stuck).
This whole time I'm thinking, "A game about being a lawyer? They really do come out with everything anymore." and that was it.
One day I was bored out of my mind. So, I stole my mom's copy of JFA and played it through.
"Hmm.. that wasn't too bad." I thought after finishing it.
The next week we went to Game Stop (it's in another town, so we don't go often). I ws looking through the used games and there was a copy of the first game. So I bought it and took it home, played through it, then I knew I was hooked.

My dad said 'It's a vdeogame of a lawyer.' I thought it was going to be like mario, only you played as some guy in a suit with glasses and you had to get evidence by jumping on blocks etc.

I was young. XD

I was chatting with one of my msn friends and he always had a AA pic. One day I asked what that was and he told me about a game when you play as a lawyer and you need to find evidence and fight in court. I thought it was boring so I didn't really mind it. But one day when my dad said I could buy a new game if I wanted so I went to the DS stand. There wasn't any interesting games I thought. But then I saw JFA (didn't know it was the second game) and I decided to try it out. After the second case, I was caught.

I read about it in a gaming magazine.
I got interested, but couldn't find it anywhere, so I didn't really care about it.
But when they reviewed Justice for All, I got interested again... and found both the first and the second game.
And thank god I did, it's my 3rd favourite franchize :)

Well, I found out about the Ace Attorney series during an e-mail conversation with my friend... she said one of her favorite game characters was a "lawyer in pink" (though I don't really consider Edgeworth pink...). XD And she told me what game it was from... I thought it'd be a cool game. It sounded like Law and Order and I love that show, so I bought the game when I had a coupon for 5 dollars off any DS game I wanted.

I saw it in the shop along with Trauma Centre when I was buying a DS and I had a bit of spare money left over. I didn't know much about it aside from the info on the back of the box, but I don't regret taking the chance at all. I've since managed to get about 5 or 6 friends playing it too... :edgy:
