I can hear the moans and groans already... :oops:

This show is one of my guilty pleasures, and I was wondering if anyone else has been watching it? I can't STAND American Idol, but I love this show. *shrugs* I think it's just because some of the dances that they do on the show are SO amazing. And I most certainly wouldn't be able to pull most of that stuff off.

I watched through the selection process in the cities across the USA, and they're down to the Top 20 dancers. So far, my favorites are Susie, Rayven and Katee. Although, everyone seems to be really good this year.

Haha, I don't think I'm very good at appreciating dance cuz whenever I watch it, a lot of the contestants seem to be doing a lot of jumping around and spazzing...To me, anyway. XD;;

Haha. ^_^ I just appreciate that they can do a lot of things that I can't. Mainly choreography. Heck, I even have a hard time at the gym doing a step class that has intermediate choreography. So... no dancing for me. Unless it's just for fun. Or para para. :oops:

Yeeees!

I prefer this show over American Idol because anyone can sing practically. But can they flip in the air with a split AND land on their fingers? I DON'T THINK SO.

I'm awful at remembering stuff like that. And then they get to parts where you have to memorize several routines. Yikes. O_o

I love So You Think You Can Dance! You can't even compare it to American Idol because the only thing good about American Idol are the dumb people that audition. EVERYTHING ABOUT SYTYCD is GREAT. :D

I appreciated dancing because they have to have control over their whole bodies while singers just have to control their voices. :P SO there.

Also, in before people who say "OMG SINGING IS HARD TOO!!!" Yeah I know it is, but it's not as interesting. Plus, you can't editing people's dancing to make it look better like you can edit people's voices to make them sound better with computer programs. SO THERE.. again. :D

In short SYTYCD is superior to AI IN MY OPINION.

I don't mind some of the contemporary routines, but some of them are kind of boring. Some of the ballroom dancing (smooth waltz and stuff like that.) puts me to sleep. >_<

Yeah, there's not really that many of the guys I like. I like the girls more as well. :oops:

I'm not surprised with the choices of people getting kicked off the last couple of shows. Although I was sad when Susie went. ;_; Comfort and Thayne are really walking a thin line, though. They HAVE to step it up, or they'll be the next to go, I bet.

-still watching it of course!-

For the longest time I wanted Comfort to go because her dancing was so lazy and fail ALL THE FREAKING TIME, but when she did the smooth waltz (?) with Thayne, I was really impressed because I didn't think she could pull it off.

Also, Katee and Joshua are my favorite favorite FAAAAAVOOOOOORITTTTTTEEEE!!! They have never failed in my eyes...except for that cartwheel at the end of the west coast swing routine. : ( Though I thought they should of got a more fun and fast song for it....because generally west-coast swing routines are FAST and FUN! Anyhow.

Tabitha and ...other guy.. the choreographers are like my favorite hip-hop choreographers... and maybe my favorite in general. I really like Rob Wadeson (or was it Wade Robson?)... or whatev... but I think he quit because they insulted some of his dances from last year like the fox one that Sabra and Lacey did..... ONE OF MY FAVE DANCES D:

W00t! I'm glad that someone else is watching! :edgy:

I love Kaytee and Joshua as well! ^_^ I'm especially rooting for Kaytee just because she almost didn't make it, because of what she said in Las Vegas. (Which I thought was BS, because they had already decided who they were going to pick.) I was really surprised that their West Coast Swing routine wasn't like... CRAZY. XD Just because Benji is a crazy kind of guy. ^_^ And I like Kherington and Twitch, even though I didn't really like Kherington at first. ^_^;;

As for choreographers, I like that hip-hop couple as well. Tabitha and... I forgot his name as well. ^_^;; As well as Tyce Diorio. I like his stuff. And I like most of Mia Michael's routines. ^_^ Ooh, and Mandy Moore! ^_^ It's sad that Wade Robson isn't contributing, because he really did some good stuff. >_<

Yeah, I'm happy to see Comfort gone for good this time. :edgy:

She's just not as good as the other dancers, and sometimes even her Hip-Hop (her specialty!) isn't that great. I was kind of surprised to see Will go, but I was glad that Joshua's still around. ^_^ I love all the guys left, so it's going to suck each week they go. ^_^;; Although... the finale's not too far away now! I think it's in 2 weeks! O_O

Yeah, Jessica somehow broke a couple of her ribs or something like that. O_o They must have been hairline fractures, because she was still dancing? She'll be on the SYTYCD tour, though. I'm debating whether or not I want to go to it this year. ^_^;;

I'm rooting mostly for Katee and Joshua. :edgy:

Although I like Twitch as well. The other girls are all right, but I think that Katee is the best dancer out of them by far. *nods*

I've watched So You Think You Can Dance every once in awhile. I usually don't like those "American Idol" type of shows to begin with... But this show is tolerable compared to Dancing with the Stars or, well, American Idol! XD

Though I must say, they need moar Irish dancing, because we Irish dancers need more love!! :pearly:

I don't think I've seen them do any Irish dancing on there, they should definitely do some!! ^_^ Last season they did some Bollywood dancing, which was a new thing. (And turned out really well!)

Exactly! Whenever I go to talent shows, the majority of the acts are singing or playing an instrument. If there are any dancers on there, they're usually not very good at it...

Now that you mention it, I think I remember that as well. ^_^ Gotta wait until Wednesday to see what happens next. XD They're through all the city auditions, now they'll be in Las Vegas to see who's going to be in the top 20. ^_^

The group dance they did yesterday was decent. But the couples dancing they did Wednesday was pretty impressive. It's going to be a tough season.

Eitherway, I'm excited for next week. I think my fave couples as of now are Asuka and Vitolliolololol (even though many people wanted them to go home.. I actually really liked their broadway routine), Janette and Brandon (they seem to be perfectly paired! That foxtrot was WONDERFUL~) and the couple that did the SAMBA~~~~. Their names escape me right now... but DAMN they were INCREDIBLE.

Yeah, the competition seems to be pretty fierce this time around. ^_^ I mean, it's always fierce, but usually there's a few people that you can tell are weaker... but pretty much all of the performances last week were amazing. I like Asuka and Vitolio as well. ^_^ I pretty much like everyone though, they're all fantastic!!

There was an intense thunferstorm during SYTYCD on Wednesday... so I did not get to see every dance in full. :( I haven't watched the results yet either so booo. :(

Asuka and Vitolio did REALLY WELL IMO. I was also really upset with the negative critique that Phillip and his partner got... I thought they did well. BWAH

I haven't watched the results yet either, although FaceBook already spoiled it for me. ^_^;; The performance show on Wednesday was... meh. There were some really good dances, but the caliber of dance wasn't as great as the first show, I thought. But you're right, Asuka and Vitolio did really well!! Their dance was amazing!! :edgy; I thought that Phillip and his partner did well also, but I could kind of see some of the things the judges were talking about. They covered it up pretty well with their actual performance, though. ^_^
