Here's the original sprite.
Here's what I've got so far.
What can I do to stop Trucy from moving left to right? (Or is it cuter that way? Should I keep it like that?) I can't really make her face move like original sprite because of the smiley base. And for some reason, her hair looks weird. I can't figure out what's wrong with it. (maybe someone else knows?) I feel so inexperienced >.< The hat is also popping up a little too much... even though I scaled it down from the original sprite...
I'll draw in Trucy's hand later. Right now, I was focusing on her facial expression and trying to get the movement down. I know the eyes don't really look like the original smiley eyes. I tried using them, and with Trucy's pose, they just didn't look so good so I had to scratch in new ones...

I use GIMP for the whole process.
All you need to do is make sure the base is in the same place for each frame and you are good to go!

It wasn't a sheet, only a single sprite. Then I remembered I couldn't animate, so I stopped working on it and didn't save it. Also, why does GIF animation = using properly???

The main thing is that it's too horizontal. It needs to be on a diagonal. And the size of the font isn't quite right either.

It's not that bad...but I suggest editing letters from some original font rather than writing them by yourself, it takes less work and looks better^-^

I think something's off. And the speed isn't so great either... I used the same speed as the original sprite though. Should I slow it down? Am I just being too critical? How is it?
