it's almost like a story TVT our love isn't going to be admitted, so we held our own little wedding and had our own happily ever after OvO so sweet >w<
I do 100% support gay/les marriage ( i had a hour long argument with someone in a chat place once and drove them out in the end lol) but c'mon, this is don's thread, let the boy have his little space XD in a modern day world it's probably rapidly becoming one of the last places you can openly express the old view of limiting matrimony to heteros XD the world's changing but if he doesn't want to move along with it then why not leave him be, it's his own choice OvO
anyway i say we keep this going the way it is, at least i'm having fun ^///____////^

1) i support gay/les marriage, but, there are people who don't think so, and they're entitled to hold onto their opinion too. you speak of what is right and what is wrong...what is "right" is merely "what is considered majority trend/opinion at a specific point in time", just like slavery was right in a period of time in US history. There is no absolute right and wrong, just a difference in opinion and a change in global trend.
2) this thread is like don's toy, he started it, and he shared it with everyone, he technically is the owner...OvO so he may not have a say in right or wrong of the world but at least he has a say in his own "toy" XD
3) c'mon guys, this is ONLY AN INTERNET RP, just let the poor guy have his little bit of glory. if this was a real life constitutional issue or debate i'd fight to the death to defend homosexual marriage too, but then...this is suppose to be fun, it's only a game, so, lighten up ^_^
and plus i don't think don's pushing his ideas onto people..he didn't say "you have to be against homo marriage", he just said he won't admit it in his game.

He never tried to push his beliefs on any of us. He just said it isn't allowed here.
In France, gay marriages aren't allowed. And there are people who are against it, and people who are for it. There can be debate, but it's still the same: the law says NO.
It's the same here, so no need to complain. If you want to debate, do it by PMs. But the law of this thread won't change.
So I don't support Don for his ideas, but I support him for the Tree.

I don't try to speak for the whole. I speak for me and how I'm running this tree.
For most things I take it to the people of the tree. I ask them how they think I should do things. But there are some things I don't do that on. This is one of them.
The only reason I pulled out my "rank" (That is Gerk saying I was in charge of the tree and that I'd have mos support for any decision I make regaurding said tree just so you know) was to state that I was given the authority to make these decisions. I have avoided having to make a decision in this way up to this point, and now I'm making it this way.

This is a controversial issue, some people won't want to be associated with it.
Best let them chose to be part of it if they want to.
And I'm going to from this point on not talk about the other tree in this topic. I ask that everyone else do the same.
It will be much better if we keep the two topics separate from eachother as much as possible.

I don't plan to ruin anything. Stay on this tree if you want. But I feel that there should be a place that supports same-sex marriage, too. It's just like smoking and non-smoking seating in a restaurant, except without the health hazards of smoking.

I agree with Fleggin that same sex marriages are okay, but it just isn't my call. Don heads this and can do whatever he wants with it, and, even though I doubt I'll ever be able to look at him the same again after this, doesn't like the idea at all. Which is fine. He wasn't going around flaming people who chose that path, so he's not hurting anyone. Just leave it, guys.
And Fleggin, I support your idea of a any-marriage tree, but please, don't.
This thing is an intricate network, and when people start to leave it'll rip holes in it. Just... leave it.

Yes, this will probably affect some families but things happen, families end up split.
I left my family in the old tree when there were some things I didn't agree with in my old family.
Parents divorcing... sister marrying her father...
I split off and kept my family separate. And then we started a new tree when the old one crumbled.
The families really got broken up then. But it was necessary to keep the tree alive. Now we have conflicting opinions, ones that are probably gonna make big changes in this family.
All we can do it deal with things as they come, not worry about every little thing.
Have a lollipop and chillax people. Life happens.
Edit: I'm not here to win any popularity contests. I'm here to run this tree as I think it should be.

I agree. I never wanted anything split, but that's how it's got to go now. Besides, what's wrong with having two families? It means less chances of incest. >.<

Wen two people who are already on the tree get married one person has to move to the other's side of the tree cutting the line of of their parents.
