I am playing through case four, and I cannot figure out how the writers may have overlooked the following detail:

The coffee mug has one blue lip stain of poison on it. This means that for the victim to have died of poisoning from the rim of the coffee cup, he would have had to put his lips in the exact spot of the poison. If there was blue around the whole rim, then yes, poisoning via the cup makes sense. But there is not...meaning there was only one spot for poison and chances of the victim actually drinking from that exact spot are slim.

Obviously, the blue mark is from the victim licking the stamp and then placing his lips on the cup.

I wish I could enter my own arguments into the game.

Any thoughts?

I have not finished the game yet, so no spoilers for case 4.

...A general rule of thumb is to at least finish the case before deciding the creators overlooked something.
