I know the feeling, I get awful insomnia at times. I don't know if you've tried this already, but I find that getting up and doing something for a while helps if you can't get to sleep (playing Guitar Hero or watching The Rocky Horror Picture Show both work really well for me
). Drinking fizzy drinks is also supposed to help, although I've yet to try that one.I'm feeling rather ashamed right now... I went with my family to a posh restaurant for my Dad's birthday, and my little sister pulled a really stupid face while I was drinking. I laughed, and then choked (not just coughing a little, but properly choking). ;^^ Thankfully the restaurant wasn't full, so not many people saw me, and I know it couldn't exactly be helped, but I still felt so embarrassed after making such a spectacle of myself like that! ;^^ My family wasn't too helpful either, I'll admit. My Dad patted me on the back, but my sisters just watched (apparently my youngest sister just thought to herself "...is she dying?"), and Mum just told me to go to the bathroom. :P
