The day was approaching, the laptop hadn't come yet. Finally, it was 10:30 on the day of the meeting when the mail arrived, it was weird for the mail to arrive at this time. The only thing that was delivered was a laptop. Mero took the laptop and went to the meeting, he could turn it on when he got there. He arrived on time and walked into the abandoned building. There were still some blood stains and robes around. He went to a table and sat down.

((It's not crack, he's just joking about being addicted to Apple Juice because apples are like drugs for Shinigami))
((Also, the "rules" have been updated. Though I'm not gonna really enforce them, it's more like suggestions.
I edited it in but here it is for convenience:
-You can kill other charecters, although please don't do this without putting thought into it, we don't want everyones charecters dyeing like crazy unless it's at a point like at the end of the series or something. If you are going to use a Death Note to kill, please follow the rules for killing with it, your charecter must know the name & face of the charecter they are going to kill. You may kill other people's charecters but it's more tollerable to kill another one of your charecters because then you suffer the consequence of a lost charecter and not someone else. With NPC's however, go nuts, except follow the rules of the Death Note.

Shintei was led by the hotel's bellhop to his room. "Will that be all, Mr. Kuchisake?"
The young man who had assumed the name Akira Kuchisake smiled from under the hood of his coat and the dark lenses of his sunglasses. "No, thank you." The detective entered the room, removing the coat and sunglasses, replacing them with his normal, round spectacles. He opened the bag slung across his shoulder and pulled out a high-end laptop and a microphone, setting them up on the desk and waiting until connection with the task force was established.
Once Mero turned on his laptop, the image of a pair of scales with a black S in the background appeared on the screen and a masked voice came from the speakers.
"Detective, greetings. Is it only you?"

"Yes...." Shan muttered softly. "Yes..." "This is what I've always wanted ever since that day."
"There it is" Mir muttered. Walking toward Shan.
"!?" Shan turned quickly, knocking over things. "AHHH!" He closed his eyes, rubbed them, opened them, but the monster was still there. He pinched himself in an attempt to see if he was dreaming or something. "What the hell is happening?" He shouted, breathing hard. "Get away from me!"
Mir started laughing like crazy. "I'm a Shinigami named Mir, you apparently stole my notebook. I don't like it when people just take something that someone dropped.
"NOOO!" Shan shouted. "You're not taking it, it's MINE, I'm the only one who deserves it..." "If you try to steal my soul, I'll take the notebook with me!"
"Apparently you know that that thing has genuine power. How many people have you killed?" Mir said.
Shan flinched and stepped back.
"Don't worry, I'm not gonna take it back yet, scout's honor. Heck just let me look at it."
Shan set it on a table ((they're at his house)).
"Wow" "This is A LOT of names..." "You've been busy..." "Why are you killing all these guys anyway? The ones who have done this many before have often used it to kill criminals. So why are you doing it?" Mir said
"I want Justice" Shan said. "Th-There shouldn't be any crimes." "A-and I sh-should be the one to do it." "No one else get's it.. they don't deserve to do it... and those who try to do it anyway should also die..."
"Wait so you're killing criminals and people who try to stop them? Like cops?" Mir said.
"Not just cops... everyone who claims my right by being involved with stopping crime should die. Judges, detectives, executioners, cops, they all deserve it..." Shan said.
"As well as those who cross me. They have no right to cross someone like me..." Shan added.
"Damn kid. You are messed up."
Shan grabbed the notebook and wrote Mir's name into it.
"HA HA HA!" Mir laughed. "You can't kill a shinigami like that!" "Listen, I'll let you have the notebook until either it gets destroyed somehow or you die, don't worry about me. Heck I can't even kill you because I don't have a notebook anymore. All I ask is a front row seat for all this."
"O-okay.." Shan said. "I guess you were wise in letting me have this..."
"By the way kid, one of the 1st names you wrote down you slated for a long time from now, why'd you do that? Why not kill him now if you wrote his name in?" Mir asked
"Oh, I want him to see his utter defeat, I want to give him time...I'm pretty sure he'd come after me...he can't win though...I-I'm invincible now." Shan said.
"Ha ha ha!" Mir laughed.

((No I haven't forgotten about your character PT, now I just have 2 Kiras for Mir to look after, I mean does it say anywhere that a shinigami has a limit on how many humans they can follow?

Anthony sat in the dreary waiting room outside the secretary of defense's office. Still tired, being called up at 4:00 am will do that to a man. 'A matter of national importance' they'd said.
"Come in Tony"
Chimed the loudspeaker. He got up and entered the office. M sat in his chair facing him, a grim look on his face as always.
Tony took the seat opposite the desk, sitting down and calmly staring at his superior.
"You look tired Tony" M asked sarcastically
"Get to the point" Tony snapped back.
"Not an early bird I take it? Well, no matter, you can sleep on the flight. You're going to tokyo, you remember the 'kira' incident don't you?"
"Of course"
"Well it looks like a new Kira has sprung up, except this ones even crazier than the last, he's killing officials too..."
"And are you going to tell me why this is a problem to us? Last time I checked we weren't exactly jumping at the opportunity to kiss the ass of the east."
"I'm getting to that, the British empire, as you know, isn't what it used to be, sure we're still a superpower, but that's just because of the nukes, we aren't ruling the world like we used to, this is our opportunity to win back our status. All we can get from the Japanese and Americans about Kira is that it's a weapon, not some superhero power. So you're assignment is to take that weapon and bring it back to us. Think about it, no country would stand up to us if we had our own personal Kira, we could run the worlds politics with a few well placed deaths".
"Why just me?"
"We can't risk sending a team, it might arouse suspicion from other countries, you'll have support, but we cant risk interfering to directly. We'll try and get you a weapon when you're over there, but we can't guarantee anything"
"I'm gonna need at least a handgun"
"We'll try, you'll be operating without any jurisdiction, if you get caught we'll deny all involvement."
"The usual then?"
"Yes, but this time you won't have to worry about you're body count, we're approving any and all force you deem necessary"
A smile lit up Tony's face.
"But that doesn't mean you can go killing willy nilly, try to be subtle" M said hurriedly before Tony got any ideas.
"I'll be good" Tony assured him.
"For england, Anthony"
"No M, for me." He said smiling as he walked out of the office. He was looking forward to where this would go.

Mark McMarksman, an excellent sharpshooter, Vietnam veteran, and murderer, shot a glance to the corner of his cell. His mind was scrambling. His eyes were teary. His mind raced with thoughts of his former lover, a young girl whom he had shown the world. Ah, he had loved her. Fire of the loins, indeed. Margarette, her named had been. Margarette was such a gorgeous girl. Her name was so plain, yet aesthetically, she was a goddess. Why is it then, did she have to die? Mark opened his eyes. An hour had passed. With just that thought? "Do I really have such little to live for anymore..?" he thinks to himself. Wearing a false smile, Mark raises his hand to his cheeks, wiping away the ongoing flood of sorrow. Many years had passed since his incarceration. Still he does not notice.
"Laurel, you killed her... My lover. My lovers. Is it so wrong to have lusted after you, Margarette? In the end, it brought us nothing. No, worse than nothing. Our lives..." Mark begins speaking out loud. Was anybody listening? Did it matter? "She was so young. So much life ahead of her. I shouldn't have let her. Margerette, Margarette!" Suddenly, his eyes open. Wider, wider, as wide as they can be! Pounding the floor, he screams out: "Laurel! You deserved it! You deserved it! how could you do it to her! You jealous whore... You really did, you truly did deserve it. And so did I," His smile returns, but this time he wears it like he means it. "I killed you out of revenge for what you did to Megan, but in the end, who was truly the victim? We're so pathetic, humans."
Mark turns to his painting. It is vibrant, full of life, this portrait of a young girl. He had started work on it ever since he was allowed paints in his jail cell. It was close to completion, but there was one problem: her face. How was he to draw it? No girl had smiled like Margarette. It was so unique, and yet, he could not capture her smile. Or rather... She could never smile for him ever again. "Of course, Margarette. I have done a horrible thing. I... I am sorry. I truly apologize for everything. I did it for you, but is this what you wanted? Could you even understand what was going through my head? You were so young, the things I did. I gave you the world, but it was too soon. Yes, I do not deserve to see your smile," the tears no longer washed over his face, Mark had made his decision, "I have nothing more to draw. This is all I deserve. It is finished."
"Maybe one day, I'll b- ugh, ugh! O-oh g-g-g-g-gawd GAWD fawwaaaa," Mark screams, suddenly feeling an intense pain in his upper body, his nerves fading in and out. He struggles, struggles with all of his might, to relocate where he is and what could be going on. But it is for not. In the confusion, Mark trips over his leg, falling over himself and to the floor. Clutching what he could only believe to be his arm, he screams out once more. It's indiscernible, gibberish, and it's all for not. Not matter how hard he tries to yell out, the words he is searching for can neither be formed nor heard. Flailing and reaching for someone, anything, a final tear falls from his face; a gag. And then silence.

"I've actually already started an investigation, but I hadn't heard that yet. Thank you for the information." "I guess this means we can get some funding?" "Thank you"
He hung up.
"That was the NPA.. looks like Kira proved himself for us.." "Almost every single person inside a prison just died...of heart attacks.." "It wasn't just criminals though, some of the staff died too, but certain ones such as chefs were spared for some reason."
".....The death total for that is over 400...." "They all died at once too..." He said.

Though the fact that certain people weren't killed means that he couldn't just make everyone there die at once. It's likely that every individual that died was delt with specifically."
"Finally, this reveals that he doesn't just target criminals. He targeted certain people that worked there, but not all of them."

Of course that was difficult, being under-cover as a foreign businessman's representative interested in expanding his prospects to Japan. This garnered him a lot of intention as people tried to get on his good side, what where they hoping for? A chance to take advantage of his non-existent stature?
He sluggishly dropped into the limo that had been sent for him, the driver had probably been told not to try and make small talk.
His phone rang.
'Not one minute of rest...' Tony muttered as he dug into his pocked searching for his mobile, he pulled it out and held it to his ear.
'Yes?' He wasn't in the mood to talk.
'You near a TV?' The voice on the other end of the call.
'Not a working one...' He said glancing at the 'just for show' TV set opposite him.
'The new Kira just wiped out a whole prison, all at the same time, we thought we'd let you know'
'This couldn't of waited until I had a sleep? Maybe waited until tomorrow?'
'You know our policy on this, we learn a lot of things from events like this, like how-'
'Like how Kira can control the time of death of his victims? Or how he's obviously trying to get noticed? Or maybe the fact he's got a man on the inside or at least a good source of information?'

They had no right snooping into his personal business. The death of his co-worker Jeremy had hit him hard, whether he wanted to admit it or not. Kira had killed him while he was trying to infiltrate a gang in Kyoto. But he had been using a fake name... His face was on the news... Did Kira have a new way to kill? Or had he just improved his previous method...
Sleep, he needed sleep.
He breathed a sigh of relief as he reached the hotel. High class and flashy, so much for a low profile... Well he was trying to look rich... May as well take advantage if the treasury's paying.

"Now, have you given a notebook to anyone else?" "I met my end of the bargain." Shan said
"...There's one other..." Mir said. "And I didn't "give" a notebook to either of you, you both stole ones that I dropped."
"Name." Shan instantly said. "No one but me deserves this right. He's no better than those blasphemous cops."
"Whoa Whoa Whoa. That is crossing the line pal! I can't just give you their name so you can kill them like that!" Mir said.
"You dare question me? You owe me! I'll remember this when I become powerful enough to kill you." Shan said.
"No YOU OWE ME FOR THAT ****ING NOTEBOOK YOU TOOK FROM ME YOU PSYCHO!" Mir shouted.
"Took? I deserve that notebook. It was taken from you because you don't deserve it. I on the other hand have been chosen for this. You owe me again, for insulting the one chosen to be a god." Shan said. "No, not a god, a hero, the one who will save the world from it's evil, crime, & Justice!" Shan added.

The meeting ended. Mero shut down the computer and left. He would be busy tonight; he would have to check over the police deaths some more, as well as check over other deaths for today. Not just that, but he was planning on visiting his brother tomorrow. Dispite living on his own, his brother had had some mental issues ever sense their Father had been killed by Kira when they were children.
He looked through the deaths for the day....only to see one death he wasn't prepared to see:
Name: Dekuran Sunisa
Cause of Death: Run over by a vehicle.

*flashback to earlier that day at around 12:15*
Mir and Shan where walking through the town.
"Ha, wonder how long until this get's really interesting" Mir said. He didn't like Shan, but at the moment he was tolerable enough considering that things might get very entertaining soon.
"Hmph, soon shinigami, soon." Shan whispered. "They probably already noticed it." "He's probably even noticed a few things about me from it."
"By him you mean that dude you wrote to die in forever right?" Mir asked
"..Yes, hi-" Shan was cut off mid-sentence when someone bumped into him.
Dekuran had bumped into Shan. Dekuran apologized and explained that he was late for an important meeting, but Shan didn't listen, he could do was stare at Dekuran's badge. Though he got a good enough look at him to know his name & face. After Dekuran ran off Shan went off into a corner, pushed a page of the Death Note he had ripped out against a tree and wrote Dekuran's name down.
"Wait, that's too obvious" he thought. "I can't let them see all my killings, they might track me down, I don't want anyone to know I'm Kira just yet."
He wrote on the paper a cause of death "A car runs over Dekuran".

As the young man walked through the lobby, a man caught his eye. Just another businessman? He didn't look like he was from Japan. In fact, the voice he heard when the man was talking to the woman at the front desk sounded as if it came from England. He didn't know why, but this man gave Shintei a bad feeling.

He made an effort to act conceited and annoy the staff, he was going to enjoy milking the businessman guise. He yelled at the receptionist for the usual, his luggage wasn't here yet. She calmed him down eventually, but the objective was accomplished. The staff would probably avoid him, which gave him that little bit extra privacy. As he finished talking to her and she gave him his key he saw a young man step out of the elevator into the lobby, he looked slightly ill, as if he'd just ate some bad curry.
Tony snatched the key and slid his trench coat off as he stepped toward the elevator heading to his room. He shot the young man a glare as he stepped past him.
The boy had eyes that looked deeper than most people, he seemed to look into Tony rather than at him, and Tony hated people like that, because they were usually pointing the business end of a weapon at him when they figure him out.
He stepped into the elevator and pressed his floor.

Richard disembarked the plane he'd been on for about 18 hours to get here, to Tokyo, Japan. He was here to feed his interest in the Kira cases a few years ago, and sensing some kind of supernatural vibe, he picked up a newspaper. He didn't expect to find anything, but his eyes widened in shock and delight upon reading about the strange deaths. YEEES!!! It's happened again! I need to get into this...! He was infatuated with the case, delighted with the idea. He read all he could about it, yearning to have been a part of it. And maybe, just maybe, he could now. Or at least get some inside information about what REALLY happened.
Now, what he knew was very limited. He was a follower, not a related party, to the incident, and knew that becoming part of this whole thing would be a far shot of luck, but here in the land where it was happening ALREADY, there could always be a chance. Richard left the airport jumping for joy at the new discovery. But now the question arose: How do I join in the fun?

Mero rang the doorbell, the door slowly opened. Shan was inside. That's because Shan...was Mero's brother.
Mir knew that Shan was having his brother over to visit, but he didn't know who his brother was. His mouth was open when he saw Mero's name, remembering that that was the name in the notebook. All the while Mir was shocked by this, Shan had a slight smile an his sick face.
((Car chase, you can team up with my guy if we can think of a way for them to meet & for him to gain enough of Shan's trust, assuming you don't mind Shan being a really crazy Kira))

Richard sat in the cafe, pondering his next move towards the Kira Involvement, as he called his little project. Strange. I'm here, a tourist in Tokyo, and already I've avoided transportation, living space, and everything someone usually visits a place would do. He was always crazy, admittedly even sadistic, but it never really sank in to him. It was his nature. But now, on to the problem:
He knew the papers were leaking minimal information, but the problem was that he knew nothing of who was involved, who was killed, and how to contact anyone with a shred of knowledge on the subject. This, too, may depend on luck, he guessed. If only he knew more...

((Crazyer than someone who kills his own brother & smiled when someone noticed, wants to kill cops & other members of authority along with criminals, and who wants to be Kira despite Kira having killed his father? Wow.))

You're killing YOUR OWN BROTHER!?" Mir shouted.
"Brilliant aren't I?" Shan said. "It'll be a service to the world to have him erased. Especially the way I'll do it." Shan said.
"No, you're mother ****ing crazy. I was tolerating your insanity for the entertainment, but this is where I draw the ****ing line." He said, wishing so much for a notebook. Actually, there was a way, Mishimi had a notebook, maybe he would kill this guy if Mir explained what was happening to him. He just needed to get away from Shan, he needed some way to get out of here. He would also need a picture.
After a few minutes, Mir spoke again:
"Kid, I gotta go out to get some apples or something."
"Yes! I almost have him, but I can't let him leave yet, I just need to stall for a while while I find someone to do the dirty work." Shan thought. He was crazy, but also brilliant. He wasn't stupid at all.
"Why? we have plenty of apples here" Shan said.

And we still have to figure out a way for Shan & your character to meet, Car Chase.))

"It's obvious that God is responsible for this, this is what we get for our evil society."
"Lord Kira has returned!! He's come to finish his holy judgement and save us from evil!"
"This is probably some kind of new disease that spread like wildfire in such close quarters. We should study it and make sure this doesn't happen again."
"People die all the time, this is probably some big coincidence. It's really unlikely sure, but unlikely stuff can happen if you give it every day for years and years."
"This is the work of true and utter evil." "This 'Kira' is an abomination of Justice & must be stopped."
"If only I could write that last one's name down. It might draw too much attention though" Shan thought.

EDIT:
Mero went off to the abandoned building and tried to contact Shintei. It wasn't time for a meeting but he had to contact him.
When he finally got through he said: "Shintei, the other detective who was supposed to help us......he's dead..."
"..but he didn't die of a heart attack..." "He was hit by a car.."
"...but it happened while he was on the way to the meeting about a half hour after it started."
