In case 2-4, on the second day of investigation, why did Matt ask Phoenix to feed his cat when he already had Shelly deKiller there to do it for him? I mean it is a possibility that Matt didn't know deKiller was in his home, but I would have thought deKiller would have run the whole plan of holding Maya hostage and hiding in his home disguised as his butler by him before he was arrested (or on his arm phone after he was arrested). It's just something that's bothered me. I know it set it up for the big plot twist "ZOMG itz da butler whos deKiller!" (who else TOTALLY saw that coming? XD) but still it all seemed a tad pointless to me. Your thoughts?

I know what you mean. And you'd think Engarde would want to keep Phoenix away from his mansion anyway, in case there was ay evidence there. So that was probably because the writers couldn't think of a good reason to add Engarde's mansion to the locations list.

Well apart from the obvious "oh my look we are talking to the killer!" thing and of course you have to know about the cat but i should imagine part of it is also Matt whether subconsiously or not, being over confident and asslike really, he's so sure you will get him off whatever that its a bit of a one finger salute

I'm currently making clay models of the characters, check out my fanart thread which i would link here if i knew how........oh and I will take requests or ideas at least

It's possible that Matt had only asked him to return the bear. But seeing that he was arrested while he did that, he then rushed back, kidnapped Maya, and returned to the mansion, not telling Engarde where he was keeping her. Matt, not knowing that they were still there, asked Nick to feed the cat.

...Or, Matt just wanted Nick out of his face for the night. He probably imagined it like:

(at the mansion)

I've recently replayed case 2-4 (by recently, I mean today xD) and I don't think Matt knew that De Killer was in his house because when Nick asked or talked to him about his butler, he seemed surprised like he didn't know he was there. But I don't remember the exact line he said :x it was something like "Butler? Oh! John! Yeah, he has always taken good care of me"...I have really bad memory so I'm not sure if that's what he said but I recall that he was surprised. Why would a cold blooded person like him care about his cat? That I have no idea xD, maybe he has a thing for cats or animals xD ... :phoenix:

As a guy trying to write his own case, sometimes it's hard to work out things like "Why would this person be here" or "How do I get it to rain inside the courtroom?" That's why sometimes those things get thrown in out of nowhere. And yeah, the above explanations work well.

I'm gone for so long, and the colors got all psychedelic! Woohoo!

he did it to fool phoenix into thinking that the butler was not of importance. Also it was if the butler was found out as the killer in the mansion phoenix would think that Matt was either too smart to give that away or that Matt was obviously gullible. So he did it in his advantage. I have no idea what i just said.

Or Matt is an idiot who almost gave away his secret.
